chart stalkers

Thanks for your responses girls. I have been thinking the same thing.

Here drugs are completely freely available. There is no such thing as a prescription. You just walk into a pharmacy and ask for it and they sell it to you. You can buy anything over the counter - fertility drugs, antidepressants, steroids, valium, sleeping pills, whatever you want and they're cheap too. It's actually the same throughout most of the developing world. It's only in the west where we regulate these things. Colombians are incredible hypercondriacs and chronic self-diagnosers. They are always sick, and they believe there is a medication for absolutely everything. Things that in Australia no one would think to give you medicine for.

Anyway, he's on the zinc already so we might wait for the clomid.

Chao :D

OK my bleeding has got worse through the day - its bright red - no black bits anymore just so so red!! Just spoken to NHS Direct and they said to go and see my doctor today - scared now!!! Must sound upset because the dragon at the doctors booked me an appointment at 5.00 without a fight!! not sure what is going on but best to see someone I suppose...... :(

Have you done a PG test??? I had something very similar a couple of months ago.

I'd had a really light and short AF for my last period and then on the day I was due to OV I started bleeding. It was really red, quite heavy with black jelly/clots in it (much like a heavy AF). I'd had period cramps for a few days before and had actually said to DH that if I wasn't so far away from AF i would have sworn I was about to come on!!

I went to the docs because I wasn't sure what was happening to me and he made me do a PG test. The test wasn't positive so he couldn't 100% say what it was.

The options were that it could mean I'd had a complete miscarriage but as I'd only been bleeding for 1 day and the test was BFN he couldn't be sure. The other option was that it was just an unexplainable mid cycle bleed!!!! Apparently it happens quite frequently but because a lot of women aren't so in tune with their cycles it goes by un-noticed. Apparently nothing causes it it's just one of those things that happens sometimes.

In my case because of the dates he said it could have been any of them!! Some help that was!!

Hope you go on ok, try not to let it worry you too much.

ov bleeding is usually just a few spots...

glad you have an appt. let us know how it goes...

sookie, I didn't say anything about the drugs before because I try to avoid medication at all costs and would prefer to exhaust all other alternatives first... I guess it depends how much you trust your doctor. I don't know anything about Clomid, other than that it's prescribed to women with PCOS to stimulate ovulation. No idea how it works. Go with your own judgement, I'd say  And if you can wait for another 5 or 6 weeks, then have another test to see if the changes have made a difference, then do. It would seem silly to try to fix something that you've already fixed yourselves. Good luck to you both

sookie and babydust - the opks haven't been dark at all. I started using them on CD15 as an experiement - expecting them to go dark when my CBEFM went Peak, but wondering which went first. The CBEFM is supposed to be more sensitive than an OPK anyway, plus it detects oestrogen rise first, so that's what I usually use. That's been testing since CD9 - it went from Low to High. It's digital, so you don't assess a gradation. I've never used OPKs before, and these are just cheapies (well, freebies!) so they may not work for me at all - but the CBEFM should and has done in the past.

Anyway, I turned off the internet connection and worked so hard I forgot to eat lunch :( Eating it now in front of the pc - how bad is that?!

I just logged back in to see how rom was - but clearly not back yet :?

hope all's ok...

Evening all,

I have loads of EWCM too. Almost as soon as my AF was done I seemed to go straight into fertile phase. Hopefully it will help the little swimmers get to the egg

Kitty, your chart has confused me. I'm really not sure when you ov'd. I guess it's a case of sitting tight to wait and see.

ROM - Hope everything is ok. Defo doesn't sound like ov bleeding. Weird that's been mentioned. I had a bit of ov spotting this month. Unusual for me.

Sookie- Wow, can't believe you can buy Clomid over the counter there. I would be inclined to try a good diet/lifestyle first and take things from there.

Going to try and get another night of BD'ing in as still got egg white/creamy CM. Wish we could have stayed in bed this morning to make the most of it.

Just got back - well I'm none the wiser really :wall: he ruled out eptopic pregnancy but is quite baffled - he took some swabs and is sending them tomorrow - he thinks it maybe a bit left over from my miscarriage but they wont get the results back until monday by which time if it is he thinks I will be feeling very unwell!! Although he did give me a very comprehensive examination, both internal and external and thought that if it was an infection there would have been more tenderness. The other thing could be ovulation bleeding - he said sometimes a follicle will rupture and cause excessive bleeding or maybe I have ovulated multiple eggs!! He advised me to come home, have a nice hot bath and an early night......

Anyway did get the chance to talk through the whole of the last couple of months with him and he was very positive he said my FSH at 9 dpo was 8 which is well within the normal range so didnt think there was any issues there - he also said he thought my progesterone may have been on the low side because of it being the first cycle after a loss and we will do a subsequent test in a few months to check it again.

Oh well milking it for all it is worth and DH is cooking tea so I'm off into the bath....... :D

at least he was comprehensive in his examination. He didn't suggest that DH should bring you a glass of red wine as well, did he, by any chance/   Well, you've had so many hormones running riot through your body over the past few cycles that I guess it wouldn't really be surprising if some of them were trying to hang on to the lining for longer than you wanted them to...

Funny he should mention about the progesterone - if you look at my temps this cycle, if I have ov'ed then they're definitely on the low side, which might well be to do with low prog. Hmmmm, I feel a FF chart gallery search coming on for 'after miscarriage' cycles! :rotfl: What am I like?! I did read somewhere that that is why some doctors advise against trying immediately - because of low progesterone levels post-loss - but then again I read somewhere else that levels wouldn't be affected after an early mc. Who to believe, eh? Enjoy your bath, and maybe leave off the BDing for one night    (p.s. did you ask the doc if 'excess intercourse' might be a possible reason? :rotfl: )

Bagpuss, yeah, it's confused me too! i think you're right, I won't know what happened till it's over. We were going to try to continue BDing every other night just in case, but TBH, I don't think I can face it any more this cycle, it's started getting rather uncomfortable again (another sign ov has been and gone, or not?!). Dh is still keen though - he can't believe his luck. No sex in 9 years, then he gets it once in September, 6 times in October and 7 times in November. :rotfl: I think he's a bit afraid if we stop, we might not start again, bless him!

well good luck for your BDing - it's looking good for you.

Gosh what a worrying day ROM but glad you went to the docs to put your mind at rest and that the GP was so helpful

Hey everyone

Got a + on OPK today on CD15 and we have bd'd daily for last 5 days (am shattered) once (or maybe twice) more for luck and then the interminable 2ww

Hi all,

ROM - am so glad it's nothing too serious. Sometimes these things are unexplainable. I would try not to worry too much. It's good that you got to talk through your other concerns with him as well. :)

Kitty - as I said before, I think CD 18 but only time will tell now.

CB23 - have fun BDing and good luck

Bagpus - lucky you getting EWCM so soon :cheer: Have fun BDing.

Chrissie - thanks for your kind words. You and the others are right and we will wait to see how we go at the next test after trying the lifestyle changes.

Well I finally have some real EWCM, so hooray at last! And my cervix is moving up and the OPK is getting a little bit darker. Who knows, there's still a 2% chance of conceiving naturally at the moment with DH's sperm count so send me lots of baby dust girls!!!!! I need it! :)

Good luck Sookie, keep BDing - you never know.

LOL Kitty, you do make me laugh :D

CB23 - How do you do it, BD'ing daily. We seem to fare better if we do 2 days on, 2 days off. Must factor that in for next month if we're not lucky this month.

This is my last chance to get a BFP for xmas, otherwise it may be a BFP for my birthday in the New Year. for a xmas BFP.

ROM - Glad your GP was helpful. Hope you are enjoying your pampering this evening.

Hi all

ROM, hope you are ok. I'm glad the doctor hasn't implied that there is anything serious

Everyone else, get BDing, I want to see Christmas BFPs for you all :D

Today I really thought that AF had arrived properly but for some reason I haven't actually had any red blood (sorry TMI, I know). Also more bizarreness is that my temp shot back up again this morning. Any ideas anyone? Could this be the effects of the agnus castus? OH seems to think we are still in with a chance - I'm not so sure. Is it possible that implantation could be this late at 12 DPO?

woohoo for Sookie

Tell me something - did any of you ever think the day would come when you'd get excited at finding stretchy, slimey gunk in your knickers?! :rotfl: And yet suddenly it seems to be something to be proud of... It's got a Smack the Pony ring to it, hasn't it?

You know, reading all the posts on this forum, I feel so tempted to start a new thread with a poll - does anyone actually enjoy sex?! I read Cosmo at the dentist's last week and it was all about women getting what they want, insisting on three hours of foreplay, and sex twice a day, seven days a week. Anyone reading this forum would think it was all about lying back and thinking of England, forcing reluctant partners to do the business as quickly as possible, and sex twice a day, seven days a week - but only for one particular week a month... :rotfl:

I have to go :( DH is threatening to turn off the internet :x That's his way of enticing me to bed... along with that famous chat-up line 'aren't we meant to be doing it tonight?' He's so smoooooooth, really knows how to get me in the mood! :rotfl:

well, night all, sleep well, and may your temperatures go up or down as your hearts most desire!

Mildly - just seen your post. You've ruined my exit :x  Anyway - yes, it is possible, but the implantation dip is actually yesterday, not today. Implantation may happen 6-12 dpo, most common is 7-10.

I'd say definitely still in with a chance.

I'm really off now.

Lol, thanks for staying and answering Kitty and thanks to your OH for not turning off the internet :D

My OH just beamed with joy when I read that out loud. If AF doesn't appear properly I may be forced to POAS tomorrow morning, just for scientific purposes no, not because I am obsessed :rotfl:

Babydust to you sookie, you nail those 2% odds :D

Thanks Bagpus, Kitty and Mildly! I'll pounce on him tonight. Although he's not making it easy by hassling me to make dinner (his job :) he only works 2 days a week! nice for some hey? )

Kitty - I don't think I've enjoyed sex less since starting ttc. I keep trying to remind myself to just have fun but it's so planned now  Of course in the moment it is great but getting geared up can be hard work, and it's so hot here you just want to lie around drinking gin and tonics.

Mildly - your OH sounds great. He is so involved! Mine's a real SNAG but he just doesn't ask me that much about all the charting stuff. Mind you I tell him every detail anyway (unlike you Kitty I don't spare him on any of the gory details). In fact he has often found me checking my cm and cp... and so I ask him his opinion on the stretchiness of it. He just laughs. He thinks I am gross :rotfl: which I guess I am. :rotfl:

I think I have ov pain now which is interesting. Am still expecting O to be later but you never know. Although here the pain could just be from something I ate or drank

Alright, catch you all in the morning.

Morning all,

Kitty :rotfl: I read back over the last few pages and it does so sound as if we all just have sex for baby making!! I have to be honest the week I ovulate it is pretty much what I am thinking about - I have to say the other 3 its back to sex for the enjoyment - the minute that stops then I stop ttc....

Sookie at least it sounds as if you can talk to your DH - Dave would die if I started showing him my cm - he does comment on it though :rotfl: In fact he will tell me when I am becoming most fertile depending on how slippy I am!!!

Mildly I am slightly concerned that taking the angnus cactus may have somehow caused me to bleed!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you while you pea on that stick.....

Bagpuss17 good luck with the bedding :D

Kitty dont even start worrying about your progesterone!! Look on FF how many pregnancy charts have low but consistant temps - I'm sure you are fine....... Now move away from your analysis spreadsheet this minute :rotfl:

Well I am still bleeding - didnt have a great night - feel sick but think that might be in my mind as the doctor said if its anything bad I will start to feel really ill!! Dont have any pain so thats a great sign. Its still the brightest red you have ever seen and this morning is more like water (tmi) God only knows what is going on but I have temped as normal and my tem has risen - when I put it in FF along with noting a light bleed it just took away all my ovulation data in the boxes below and put N/A. Hmmm strange...... I suspect from that they think I havent ovulated - not sure whether to start a new chart or not - the doctor did say ovulation bleeds can last a couple of days so I suppose I just have to ride this one out and see what happens.... I am wondering if it was because I took Agnus Cactus? I cannot believe that I could get pregnant and it stick this month if I have lost this much of my lining mid-cycle........ Bloody hell questions just keep jumping into my head!!!

Anyway going to crawl back to bed and make the most of Dave's sympathy...... can feel tea and toast coming on :D

ROM - Glad to hear all went well at the doctors but it's a shame he couldn't give you a definitive answer to what it is. Sorry to hear your still bleeding and not had a good night. You make sure you milk it for everything you can. Get back to bed and let DH run around after you for the day

After my early EWCM yesterday and a BFN on my OPK I was confused, because I only usually get EWCM for a couple of days before OV and I'm not due to OV until the weekend. This monring I've had a massive temp drop so I think I could be OV early this month. On the other hand I did wake up at 5am and went to the loo without giving a 2nd thought to my temp. I did go back to bed but I didn't sleep again, I just lay with my eyes closed trying to nod off! I took my temp at my normal wake up time of 6:45 so that could have effected my temp. I'm going to make DH sperminate me tonight in the hope I won't miss it!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Only problem is.....if I'm not OVing today and it's going to be the weekend by the time we reach Friday my poor DH will be exhausted and drained of any quality reserves of spermies 1 11

morning, just a quick one to say im glad it went fairly well with your doc rom, i hope you start to feel better soon and your bleeding stops.

I better go my little girl has decided to paint the chair in the llivingroom, thats what i get for having white chairs with 2 kids
