You're right kitty, I didn't make it to Wednesday Mind you, on a positive note this is bang on with my herbalist's prediction of a three week cycle for my first agnus castus month. Hopefully it increases a bit next month. Also I have proof that I Ov'd which I am pretty chuffed about

Well we went to the doctor (he's my gyno/ob) and he was great. He said he has experience with the Male Factor and so can treat DH too. He has put DH on clomid and zinc. What do you think? They love their drugs here, and I'm not sure it is what they would do at home this early on. But I plan to do some research and we'll make a decision about whether or not to take it. There are some lifestyle factors in play, that have been cut out 2 months or so ago now, so the doc was pretty hopeful that they will make a difference and we should see better results at the next test in 3 months time.

Well, I'm still waiting to Ov... dadidadida

And still waiting for my Agnus Castus to arrive in the mail... with my preseed. I was sure they would be here sooner. Oh well. Just have to wait.

OK help!!! (TMI) Temp dropped this morning but just went to the loo and I have bright red blood wiith the black slimy stuff in it!! not a huge amount just when I wiped but I have never had this before!!! Any ideas girls because I'm really worried - I've never heard of ovulation bleeds???

rom - that's not an ovulation bleed - an ovulation bleed is described as a few spots of fresh blood. Sounds like you have old stuff coming out - I notice your last AF was relatively light so maybe for whatever reason your period didn't quite get rid of the old lining? I'm sure it won't be serious but I do think you should see your doctor ASAP - make an emergency appt.

Please can I ask all chart stalkers what they think of my chart?

The temps suggest that I have ov'ed this cycle, but it's not very clear when. The OPKs/CBEFM seem to be a total bust this cycle. FF still thinks I ov'ed on CD14, seemingly based only on temps:

I had a look at it, and overrode FF, inserting crosshairs on the last day of EWCM and last day before the 2nd temp rise, which matches my expected ov date:

I know it's probably too early to tell anything, and you never really know for sure till AF comes, but what do you think is most likely - CD14, or CD18? I have a feeling the whole cycle is screwed anyway, but FF tells me that I should expect AF a week today - I think it's probably not due till the weekend after...

Please let me know what you think, or whether you think it looks like I haven't ov'ed at all. Yes, I am driving DH mad...


p.s. The temp on CD16 was discarded because I woke up at 4, thought I'd get back to sleep, didn't and so took my temp at 5 - an hour early. So the temp is an hour off usual time, AND after an hour of lying awake

That's a very confusing chart. Any of those two days could be your OV date this month so it's going to be a case of waiting and see what date your AF arrives to know for sure which one it was. IMO the 18th looks more likely to be OV day just purely based on all the pre OV temps being below the cover line.




I don't know what to think this morning. I'm due to OV this weekend but I've woke up to loads of EWCM Normall I only get it for a couple of days. Usually the day before and the day of OV? My temps haven't gone up and I'm going to do a OPK later on today but do you think I could be OVing early this month??? How many days do you all normally get EWCM for and am I just being a drama queen????

Kitty having read that article I am pretty sure it is ovulation bleeding - It was bright red new blood but it had a couple of very tiny bits of black slime when I used a tissue to check my cervix - it has gone now!! So I will just wait and see if my temps rise tomorrow..... Never a dull moment with this TTC millarky!!!! Just wondered if it was because of the agnus cactus??

I still think you ov'd on the CD 18 that was your last day of ewcm and you had a temp rise after - check out the charts in ff there are a lot of pregnancy ones which dont have huge rises to start.

Chrissy I usually get 4 days of fertile cm before I ovulate - I also ovulate pretty early in my cycle - between cd11 and cd14 -just keep on bedding and you will cover your bases either way (and your DH will have a on his face!!!)

I'm not the best person to ask about EWCM - look at my chart!

Those 5 days of CCM were in fact EWCM, but only 1-2" stretch. The next 7 days were v-e-r-y stretchy EWCM. So 12 days...

Last cycle I had 5 days of CCM that was really EWCM (same definition as above), followed by 3 days of very stretchy EWCM.

I wasn't charting before that, but I would say I usually get a week of lots of stretchy CM. Put it this way, I was very relieved when I started charting and found out what it was!


How long are your cycles usually? If they're always 28 days, then you could ov CD12-16 every month, but not know which - your LP may vary by a couple of days, as may your ov day. We can see only last month's chart, but if you know your ov days and cycle length for previous cycles, that might help - it may be that you were actually a day or so late last month. I'd BD tonight, just to make sure.

rom - phew! It sounded like you were talking about jelly clots! Got me a bit worried! If it's tiny bits when you wipe, that really sounds like old lining to me - the kind of stuff you might get a day or so after AF has finished, that's just taken a while to work its way down...

The other possibility - and sorry in advance - is that you could have a tiny little tear, which is absolutely nothing to worry about and can be caused by BDing - have you been doing any of that lately?! (I feel like the Queen of Spotting now, I interrogated both the doctor and the nurse after last cycle! It's the doctor's fault for making me have a smear test after I reported spotting - got me all worried! ) But the timing does suggest ov bleeding, especially if it wasn't quite as dramatic as I'd first imagined!

Have we been bedding I look like I've just come off a horse!!! As I say this month its quantity not quality - poor bloke he is begging Josh not to go out at the moment......... Had to pick my mum up from the airport last night and her flight was delayed so I didnt get back until after midnight and I am sure he was faking just so I gave him a rest How the tables are turned!!!

My EWCM is never really really stretchy... but it is usually really thick It's generally a bit like a clear jelly/slime consistancy. Very much like raw egg white is (sorry for TMI) but is only stretches about 1-2 inches, never more than that! Is that normal???

I only started charting last month so I've only got last months to go on but I have been working out my cycles for the last 12 months and my average is 28 days. The longest cycle has been 31 so I'm pretty regular. I think it could just be that I've not spotted it sooner in previous months because I'm actually looking out for it now I'm charting.

better get DH as soon as he gets in the house tonight!!

kittykins im not sure if you ov on the 18th why were the opk's -ve, i might be talking bollocks here as im still getting to grips with these charts but i think it could have been maybe cd 14, did you not do any opk's around this time, do you always get a +ve opk when you are ov ?

well my temp just keeps going down and down i did an opk yesterday and today and the line is there but not as strong as control line, i dont usually get anything until the surge but i will wait and see in next few days it might just be building up to it or something

Chrissy1 - I know, it's really quite revolting, isn't it? DH asked me to explain the abbreviations on the chart the other day, I managed to come up with 'well, that's fertile stuff, that's not so fertile stuff'. Poor guy looked so confused and said 'what kind of stuff?'. 'Well, you know, stuff. Women's stuff. Fertile women's stuff'.

1-2" is perfectly normal. That's why what I've listed as Creamy is really EW. It's just that I seemed to have loads of it. I don't seem to get WCM, which you do - that's also fertile CM, don't forget, so if you add the days together, you get quite a few fertile CM days. Maybe I drink too much citrus juice and eat too much yoghurt or something. If your ave is 28, that suggests you've had a couple of shorter ones. Say your cycle was 26 days one month, you'd expect to ov around CD12. So it all sounds perfectly normal for you

Anyway - I need to concentrate on work. If you see me back on here before this evening, shoot me. It's not like there's anything I can do about when/if I ovulated, so I really need to stop worrying!

Well Kitty - I would be more inclined to go by CD18 as it fits in very nicely with last month's chart. Last month you also had 3 days where the temp rose before you actually Oed. However, the OPKs make this confusing. When were they at their darkest? Remembering of course that O can happen up to 2 and a half days later

What do you all think about my DH and the clomid?

Sookie I too cant believe how quickly they give out drugs where you are!! It is like getting blood out of a stone here in the UK. I would have thought it would be better to check his Sperm again before taking such drastic steps..... How does he feel about it? I think Dave would be shocked if they suggested it to him without more tests but then he wont take even paracetomol so taking tablets is a big thing to him! I have heard that zinc and bananas are great for sperm production - could you suggest that your DH takes the zinc and then has another test before he starts the drugs???

Havent done any work yet - to preoccupied with this bleeding!! Good job I'm self employed or I'd get the sack!!

really sorry I can't help you much with the Clomid question..... I don't even know what it is.

whatever it is I hope it helps you and DH get your BFP soon. As you say there have been some lifestyle changes that might effect you so if you're worried about DH taking the clomid would you consider leaving it to see if the lifestayle change works first????

It's all so confusing this TTC business!!
