October Babies 2011 - Our Tri-3 thread :D

Not feeling great this morning, had a bad night Wednesday and we struggled through anti natal classes last night because we were both so tired. Got home and looking forward to hopefully sleeping ok only to have to take my cat to the emergency vets at 11pm!
So now I've got a full days work & midwife appointment on about 5 hours sleep, I am seriously considering pulling a sicky for this afternoon :-(

Hope you and the cat feel better later tinks.

The class was interesting, was at the birthing unit so mainly about their philosophy and a look around, there was only 3 of us turned up! Was a bit scary though as lots of women were there and in labour so you could hear the moans when walking around! Plus we watched a water birth DVD and even though it was one of those superwoman who pop the baby out it was still a bit freaky! Def don't want my hubby looking down there as the head crowns that's for sure! The women in the DVD was a woman who recently gave birth there and her sister filmed it and they donated a copy! Think I still want a home birth and def with a pool, just need to find a big place to set it up. They really promoted water and natural births there, I didn't realise how benifical for both you and baby the pool was.

Thanks Sarah, decided to pull a sicky this afternoon at work and go home to rest after midwife.
Cat seems to be fine, nothing broken so that's a relief.
Our class was ok, we just spoke about labour & pain relief. They also were very pro water births although my hospital only has 1 pool. Next week is feeding & early days then a tour of the hospital the following week x

I'm starting to get fed up now. Just wish she was here already. Everything I do is just so painful and uncomfortable, its driving me insane.

OH keeps pressing my sticky out belly button and saying its the eject button and its time t come out for cuddles.

One hand I'm desperate for her to be here now but on the other I know she needs to cook a bit longer.

I'm the same as some of you lot with regards to labour. I'm not scared or nervous about it at all. I think its because I'm so excited to see her that I think of labour as the thing to look forward to because I know she'll be here soon after! It's a bit strange.

Am I the only one not looking forward to the birth? main reason I'm not is because I suffer terribly from piles and they are always so much worse after the birth :( I always end up back in hospital not long after having them operated on :( really hoping it doesn't come to that again this time as I miss out on bonding with the baby too as I can be stuck in there for a few days and it's just so embarrassing too! and I have a bloody sore tooth at the moment and was told nothing can be done until after the baby is born, feeling really fed up at the moment. Sorry for the moan

I have my water birth workshop next sunday and I'm really looking forward to it. My midwife is really an advocate for it, and OH is love with the idea (at least for pain relief) so I'm really looking forward to going and learning some more about it!

xx

Little miss hopeyou don't mind me asking but what hospital r u planning on going to? X I'm thinking about whether or nit to go to birthing centre or travel to southern general or Paisley x

I'd love the birthing centre but what if something goes wrong! X would rather be in actual hosp I think x

Having baby in Princess Royal Maternity Hospital (Royal Infirmary) Had an ok experience with my 1st there. At my appointment yesterday, the MW said that its the best maternity unit/hosp in Scotland & even gets babies up from London coz even Great Ormond St doesn't have equipment as good. I'm quite lucky though coz i'm about 7 minutes walk from hosp to house.

:)

Got a 4d scan again today! Baby better behave this time as my parents are up to visit and want to see their new grandchild! Duno why by I always feel sick and nervous before a scan even though baby is always moving about in there!

Had my GTT yesterday! OMG it was horrible. I've never felt so ill in all my life!! I'm never going thru that again

Good luck with your scan, cant wait to see the pics

Am feeling so uncomfortable and fed up today. Know baby needs to stay in for longer, but hope it isn't too long. Got a pain at the bottom of my bump where I would imagine the top of my cervix is. BHs driving me crazy, and I'm sick of not being able to do anything.

We're trying to get the house baby ready and I just feel totally zapped of energy after no time at all.

Hi ladies seeing as there are a lot of us in team yellow i thought it would be fun to guess what sex we are having and why and then soon we will see if we were right.

I will go 1st...

I think I am having a boy.... why? i have 2 girls and and this pregnancy has been slightly different, plus i always think 'he' where as my other two pregnancies I thought 'it' or 'baby'.
I really want a boy... so I could be deluding myself!

Great idea

I'm not really sure what my guess would be, think i'm gonna hold off for another couple of weeks before I make an official guess.

This is my 2nd and this pregnancy is different to my first with girl, I have alot more movements (earlier on) i'm alot bigger than with first, and carrying more out front, but also carrying high same as with 1st.

:oooo:

Will join in with the guessing. I'm guessing boy, have no idea but had the feeling from the early weeks. Only a few weeks left to find out. Yay!

I've thought from the start that I'm having a little boy, I have no idea why but every time I imagine the baby it's always a little boy. I automatically say he when speaking about bump too :). We'll be delighted either way though!

Aww I wish I could join in the fun with guessing the sex! I thought from the second I got my bfp that I was having a boy! OH was convinced it was a girl though, he has 3 sisters and his sister has had 2 girls, so he thought he'd never have a boy! I have 3 brothers though and my older brother has a son and another son on the way, so we're dead opposites!

We're having a boy though, so I was right! OH was so shocked, he really wanted a boy. He wasn't pleased though when his stepmum said she thought my body had picked the sex because I have the "dominant personality in the relationship" haha!!!

I can't wait to see what all these team yellows end up coming out as!

xx

Another wasted 4d scan! I either have a very shy or very awkward baby! This time baby had not only it's hands covering it's face but it's legs and cord so we saw nothing at all of its face! It's also in a funny position kind of transverse with it's head deep into my hip. If we wasn't on team yellow the scanner said it's bits were perfectly on view, typical! Got one last shot and to check it's changed position at 35 weeks. He did say there is no room for baby to move at all and still measures a week ahead, so guess I better start bouncing on my ball and getting on all fours to encourage it to turn! Must admit I was really disappointed esp as my parents are up visiting and there was nothing to see, fx crossed for next time.......

Shame baby wasn't co-operating!!! Fingers crossed for the next time! xx
