Terrie's weightloss journey 2010 **only 4.5lb to loose until club 10 goal**

i cant get to the SW meetings so im going it alone.

with SW you choose red days and green days, then choose your free foods (free meat on red days and free beans,rice & pasta on green days), your healthy extras (milk,cheese,bread etc - your allowed up to 4 portions a day of these) and then your Syns (like butter,puddings etc - your allowed up to 15 syns a day)
 
If you're not staying to the meeting then the girls would be fine hun ie if you're just weighing in and getting straight off.
 
ok ive just eaten my final bag of popcorn ever... was clearing out the cupboard of binge snacks (which is a MASSIVE step for me although it may not seem it to anybody else...) and i just could not.. seriously could not throw my last bag of popcorn away so i made it and shared it with OH.

so thats it, im done, the only junk food in the house now are orange choccys which i hate and french fries which are 4.5 syns each. going grocery shopping on monday so im going to stock up on veggies and fruit.

lisa.. question for you since youve done SW before.. you know pasta is free? well i like cheese sauce with mine.. can i make a cheese sauce using milk and cheese as HE and then the butter would be a syn and then flour would be ? i dunno? did you ever make cheese sauce and what did you count it as?
 
Is flour free too? I need to dig my books out but that's how I'd do it too. We need a password for the syns on line really....
 
yeah that would be good. i went to buy the SW food directory today from WHSmith but they didnt have it in *doh* so i need to order that from amazon.. will do that now actually.

will have a look in my book about the flour? at least i know i can tally it up that way.. couldnt live without cheese sauce :rofl:

i just absent mindedly walked into the kitchen and opened the cupboard... just shows how often i snack really, oh well nothing left in there!
 
I imagine flour is free you know.....I have a directory so I'll have a look....
 
28g flour......4.5 syns.... :shock: I suppose it's pretty empty calorie wise.....

i thought flour would have been free if pasta was! i had a vague attempt at SW before i got pregnant again, but i just got so so so confused!! and i wouldnt want to be paying to go and get weighed everyweek if i wasnt doing the meetings. but then i dont know what they do at the meetings really!! plus living with my parents i'm pretty limited to what they're eating. sod it, i might just do slimfast or somethin equally as mingin!
 
:( im sure if you talked to your parents they could maybe adapt meals a bit to suit you?

i gave up being a vegetarian when i lived with OHs family (12 of us in one house) and i HATED it. years later they told me that if id asked them they would have adapted meals for me!
 
ii dunno, they might do. i mean, my mum and sister both want to lose weight too. and my dad needs to eat healthily cos of all his various health complaints. i mean, we do eat really healthily...think its just that we eat WAY too much!!
 
a good thing which i do is eat slower.. then when i feel full i stop. i cut my portion sizes down a third from what i used to have and i even went out and bought smaller plates because the ones we had were huge and i used to fill them with food!

half the time i put my plate in the microwave and then even if im hungry an hour later i can warm it up and eat it.
 
i literally could not eat any slower :lol: everyone's done and cleared away and i'm still eating!! i think i just need to learn when i'm full, rather than finishing everything. like tonight, i'd had enough, yet i still sat and kept eating!
 
yeah i think thats drilled into our head as kids... 'finish your plate, finish your plate!' my OH will always finish his plate and he gets really annoyed when i leave like 5 chips coz im full!!
 
i think it was the girls' daddy that drilled it into me more, he was such a tight arse, he couldnt stand any food going to waste!!
 
i just leave it *shrug* if im not hungry im not hungry!
 
Good luck hunny :) I've had a reasonable xmas, ate more than I should and feel all bloated and sh1t and not used to it but back to healthiness tomorrow :) :yay:

Sw is a great diet :D

yesterday i didnt really eat much, got to around 10.30 lastnight and was really hungry.. desperately wanted to order chinese but i didnt, i had 2 pieces of toast instead.

all syns taken up on wine yesterday and the day before.

today ive had some wheetabix with skimmed milk and an apple
 
Dont fall into the trap of using all your syns but not eating much....you will find you might not lose at all that way hun. Keep throwing the fruit down if your not feeling hungry or your body will go in to starvation mode :)
 
i know hun, just drank a lot of wine over the past 2 days.. will manage better soon.

was gonna go out for lunch but decided to stay in and have a sandwich instead.
