Terrie's weightloss journey 2010 **only 4.5lb to loose until club 10 goal**

:yay: Well done hunny

 you too, speak tomorrow

soooo... ive been thinking which diet im going to follow.. my MIL has offered to pay for me to go to weightwatchers but im thinking slimming world might be better.. or am i better just eating more healthy and smaller portions?

what girls are you going to do in the new year?

As soon as I'm ok to start, I'll be doing SW. I think it works really well for veggies ;)

see ive heard sw is better for veggies but i dont know if id get carried away with the 'eat as much as you want' rule ...

but that's the beauty of it! You REALLY can eat as much as you like of the free foods!! Seriously! My weight loss slowed right down at one point and I wasnt eating enough of the free stuff. I think it's brilliant for veggies. I started at 11st 2 and went to 9st over the course of about 12 months and I scoffed Looooooooads! Right now I just want to be 11st 2 again!

Slimming World is AMAZING! I've stopped doing it (house renovations etc made life too hard to stick to it without a cooker etc) but will be back doing it in the New Year. I lost nearly 3 stone in 3 months and ate LOTS and lots. It REALLY works!!! (WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than nasty WW) !

Good luck sweetie - I'll be joining you in 2010 and need to lose 3 stone again!

:D ill think about SW as i already have the books etc..

I'm doing atkins and fair enough its got me nearly 2 stone off at this stage now I wouldn't recommend it :( I don't know whether this is linked or whether its something I should get checked by the dr but it has gave me a side effect of 'loose movements'. I have introduced carbs back in but only good carbs like all bran, porridge, higher carbed fruit and wholemeal bread. Although I limit the bread to a few times a week. I think I'll abandon it after xmas and just bascially follow a healthy diet and exercise :) It has learned me not to overeat though and I haven't had crisps cake chocolate (except atkins chocolate) since July :D And never feel like any either.

So the concept is good in that you cut rubbish out but the less bad carbs you're eating the less sugar you crave :)

But all in moderation. Slimming world seems mint at the minute especially with the extra easy plan  so you can have a balance of red/green free foods plus syns :) I done very well on it too and couldn't belive I was eating huge jackets with beans and cheese and platefuls of pasta and still loosing :D Its a very satisfying diet

Best of luck whichever way you go

The other thing with SW is that you can get all the info for free on another website (don't know if I'm allowed to post a link or a name on here as it also has forums...) which is brilliant and I just ended up doing SW at the end and weighing myself at home

Works wonders even if like me you have PCOS and the weight just doesn't shift like it does on "normal" people...

If I'm allowed to PM the website, please can someone let me know? Ta

My mam used to be the field manager of the north east and cumbria for SW. I find the diet hard to follow but my mam keeps me right and gives me hints and tips xx

i think im swaying towards slimming world.. will have a chat with my MIL coz i dunno what shes sorted with her WW group.. i best dig out my SW books :D

ugh people tagging photos of me on facebook from the wedding on sunday.

fuck christmas, the diet starts tomorrow.

off to go on the crosstrainer now.

I think you'd be better having Xmas before starting to diet by all means exercise but you'll feel like you are been punished if you don't enjoy your Xmas dinner!

ugh i broke my xtrainer by trying to move it... waiting for colin to fix it :(

Hope he's netter than my hubbie or you'll still be waiting at Xmas 2010

Hun you're gorgeous so quit thinking otherwise  Have your Xmas dinner, snacks some chocolate but just keep in your head your goals. One day is not going to make/break you but being in the right frame of mind is and you've got it so stop worrying

:( thanks hun.. thank god for the ability to 'de-tag' eh? my head is just fucked i guess..

just sat and read through my SW stuff.. gonna make some meal ideas with my HE and Free foods and put them in a folder (yes im THAT sad) so i can just flick through and pick a meal without having to think too much.

also gonna get the SW food directory with my christmas money

well day 1 of 'mission for a new me'.

AF is here.. *sigh*

decided to give slimming world a try so this is what ive eaten today.

breakfast:
cereal with milk (HE A+B)

lunch:
veg soup (free) with 1 slice wholemeal bread (HE B) and butter (2 syns)

snack:
apple (free)

dinner:
pasta with tomatoes & mushrooms (all free) topped with cheese (HE A)

sounds well yummy!! is SW easy to follow? i cant decide which diet to go for! doesnt help that i dont really have many pennies and would have to take the girls with me to any meetings, is that acceptable or do people not take kids?!
