October Babies 2011 - Our Tri-3 thread :D

I'm shocked how many of us have stayed team yellow, it felt like everyone was finding out what they are having!!

Still not arrived yet, guess I'm going to be stuck in all day waiting! I went for the urban jungle mountain buggy in the end with the carry cot attachment, just want to play with it!

Hurry up Mr Delivery man! x x

You sound well organized traci! I still don't quite believe this fat belly will be a little person soon, still seems hard to believe and don't feel real yet!
DW - I'm also surprised there are still so many October team yellows, everyone thinks we're mad not finding out! I've started a friends and family sweepstake, £1 a guess, for the sex, date and weight who ever is closest gets the cash! Some odd guesses so far though, men haven't got a clue!

I like to be organised Sarah! Just a few bits for my hospital bag to get now. Not doing that yet, otherwise I'll get too impatient!! Lol

Well the pram arrived! Shame it's in about a million pieces, guess it's staying in the box for a couple of months!

At least you've got it now, even if you have to put it together! I was lucky when I got mine that it was all together! In fact, when we bought ours they gave us a discount because they had one in the back that had been taken out of the box but they couldn't it get back in the box, so we took that one, mostly because it was the last one in stock and I'm too impatient... I wanted to get home and play with it! I'm still trying to work out all the functions, how to change the direction it faces, how to attach the car seat etc!

Hopefully by the time OH comes back from offshore I'll have it all worked out!

xx

If he was home just now it would already be built, you know what men are like with this sort of thing! Might have a go in a day or two, just not sure I want it collecting dust for the next 10 weeks as it will never go back in the box!

:yay:

I bet it feels brilliant having the pram in. We got ours a few weeks ago but tbh i wished we'd just kept the money by or something coz its taking up so much space

:wall2:

love being team yellow, its such an exciting feeling, I would be excited about the birth anyway but not knowing kinda adds that wee bit on, and talking about it, guessing with ppl is great. I cant wait to find out, my OH's said we can get another scan if we want but I said no, incase we accidently find out the sex.

:oooo:

Our pram is in the cupboard by our front door, with the rain cover over it to protect it from dust! Luckily it folds up quite small so it doesn't take up too much space, the car seat fits in that cupboard as well so it works out really well!

I don't know how all you team yellow ladies have done it! I'm just too much of a preparation freak to not find out. Worrying about going into early labour, worrying about having enough clothes, worrying about actually giving birth! I don't think I could deal with not knowing the sex, it'd drive me crazy!

If the next LO after this is a girl, we said we'd have a think about whether we'd want another baby (I've always wanted 3 but OH would be happy to stop at 2 if we had one of each) and then we might stay team yellow with that one. Because I would like to have the excitement of not knowing, maybe I could deal with it better if I'd already had two pregnancies and births!

xx

Love that we didn't give in and find out. Makes for a nice surprise after delivering!

I'm looking forward to finding out if I've guessed right, I really feel like I'm having a boy, but I thought I was having a boy with my daughter, I was so shocked she was a girl, so wonder if my feelings are wrong again!

I agree I love the excitement of not knowing and everyone trying to guess. So far nearly everyone I'm having a a girl, I think probably because I'm quite a girly girl so it's maybe easier to picture me having a girl? That said I know OH would prefer a boy, he said he'll be happy either way but I know he'd love a boy to play football with/do lads stuff with. I'll be happy with either! Great idea about the sweep stake Sarah - one of my mates actually announced last week at my salsa class that he's going to hold a sweep stake so everyone can guess the sex/weight.

Ooh prams - mine is still at mum & dad's all in the box, I know my mum's getting as impatient as I am though, she's dying to unpack it and have a play around! Am thinking maybe next week I might let her....

I dont want to make anyone jealous but, its my last day in work today!!

Ooh Traci you lucky thing I am officially jealous! Enjoy your last day :flower: x x

Hi girls, hope everyone is keeping well?

I got to hold a 5 week old baby girl the other day, she was only 8lb 10 n was so tiny in my arms as I cuddled her then I held her next to my bump n thought, bloody hell she's big! How can I give birth to a baby that size? Both me n OH were born bigger than that!
Panic started kicking in about giving birth and having a baby. Slightest bit of reality has hit now that I'm actually gonna have a tiny baby in less than 7 weeks time.

I then had a dream I'd given birth n she was 10lb + n toddling around as she was that big!

xxxxx

Haha my OH was saying something similar to that! We were in mothercare and there was this gorgeous little newborn baby, I was getting all excited then OH suddenly said "that baby is actually really big!" I was like "don't be so stupid, it's tiny..."

Then we were getting all the clothes we'd bought out of the packs to look at, and I picked up a 0-3 bodysuit and was like "ohhhh this is so cute, so small!" And then I thought to myself, it's small compared to me as an adult, but compared to the size of what LO is going to come out of, the bodysuit is actually giant!

SCARY!

looooool

thats hillarious about your dream.

Its a really scary thought giving birth to a full sized baby

Met my new neighbours today, they have a 9 week old. All I could think was that he was huge. Apparently he hadn't gained much weight, but he was mahoosive. Am petrified of having one that big.

Went out tonight to a party and someone popped a balloon next to me, baby jumped, not sure if it was the noise or a coincidence.
