May Mummies!!!!

Yep, Thursday when I will be 14 days over.

I'm resigned to it being then now. In some ways it's nice to have an exact date but it also allows me to get more scared as it is much more tangible then some unknown date if that makes sense. I have been having cries in the night this week as I am scared but the cuddles from OH make up for it.

x

aww please dont be scared you will be fine x sucks that you have to wait to go 14 days over :( i think they do that at my hospital too because it says on my notes that if im still here by 40+10 i have a consultant appointment. its good that your still loosing plug ect shows your body is at least getting ready for the big day :)

:hugs: Catty, I'd be a bit scared too, but you'll be fine, its natural to feel anxious! Would be good if you could go on your own though.......here's me just 2 days over and its doing my head in! I think it puts a bit of a downer on things.

its doing my head in and im not even near my due date yet so you lot must be super pee'd off, i dont even know why im feeling impatient at the minute :(

I was saying to my OH last night how the feeling that we just want the baby out and pregnancy to be over kind of takes away the excitement iykwim. Which is a shame cos its such an exciting time.
I'm not saying I'm not excited just that I'm desperate to have him. That was me wakened until 5am x

I'm convinced I'll need to be induced on the 24th just can't see it happening now. Wish Wednesday would hurry up for the next sweep.......that's if my cervix is even ready!!!!! Damn cervix!

what is cute is i get more cuddles off my ds with the bump:)

Aww girls its horrible everyone being so frustrated at the mo - we must have some stubborn babies!! x

I'm more nervous about having my induction date than going into spontaneous labour. I think it's the unknown really isn't it?

My midwife hasn't phoned yet and I'm wondering whether to ring her or not. I don't want to come across as being some midwife bunny boiler lol.

Catty is it bright red blood you're having?

What's frustrating too is how people say 'I think you will go early' cos it makes you think that there's a real chance you will. I know there is a chance I can bit realistically its not going to happen, especially when his head isn't even engaged yet. I'm convinced he's turned aswel cos it feels like he's lying different, as if he's lying on his side.

Aww midnight that's so cute that he cuddles your bump xx

he rubs cream in for me too :) and gives the bump a kiss too sweet :)

Even though having a bump stops us doing lots of things. I will miss watching all the shapes that appear from it. I'm lying trying to figure out what body part he is sticking out just now. If he is still head down I think it might be the heel of his foot but its quite far down.

Can they turn this late? X

its very rare for them to turn now hun

I thought that. I wonder what he's doing in there then, it just feels different. Hopefully its him moving down or something then. X

hi jodied, just wanted to say, what a lovely thread :) especially adding on the weightloss section at the end!! i love PF all the ladies are so lovely!!

congrats to all the new mummys and best of luck to those of you due soon xxxxxxxx

Thanks positivity!!!! :)

Pp if she doesn't show before 12 I'd call her.....tell her we're she's keeping us all waiting

midnight - thats so cute!

Emma - Heaps of people said I would go early as well, totally got my hopes up  if one more person asks "have you not had that baby yet" I may well be going inside for a very long time

Emma - I get some weird low down bumps too, I think it's shoulders or maybe an elbow. Mine also gets what I think must be his knees in some odd places really far to the side and quite low.

Ladies I know at this stage this is a stupid question but what does early labour feel like? I have been getting period like pains all morning every 10-15 minutes lasting from about 1.5 mins each. They vary from quite mild to fairly painful but nothing I can't talk or move through. During them my bump feels a bit tighter but not massively. Is this early labour? Part of me just thinks I need a big poo cos that's also a bit what it feels like but I've been today and despite my best efforts nothing else is coming out (TMI sorry)

Am I just kidding myself?

I don't really know either catty, but I've read if they become more frequent and more painful then you're in labour.........sorry I can't help anymore. I don't think I'll know unless I'm in agony!

x

I just want to know one way or the other. I'm worried that I'm getting my hopes up too much and I will be really upset if it turns out to be nothing.

Maybe I should go out and keep myself busy to take my mind off it.

x

mine always start of as a period pain coming and going :) best thing to do is keep mobile but dont do anything too active so you reserve energy start eating some slow energy release food just incase :)

pinky have you not had this baby yet  couldnt resist
