Nanc - My midwife does that too, she just says a day and doesn't give a time at all, very annoying. Good luck for your sweep, I'm being offered one on Friday, a bit scared too, we'll be fine eeeek! Catty don't listen to the horror stories, not sure why but people love to freak each other out Good luck for your sweep on Thursday, and if its horrible don't tell me

Hi girls, just had sweep, Lou Lou was right, It was totally fine! Not as bad as a smear. I worried for nothing, so please don't stress about it. It was over in seconds, and definitely didn't hurt, just a bit uncomfy, and she said my cervix was hard to reach, and yet it was still ok. Shove a pantyliner in your knickers if you don't have it at home, as you can get slight spotting after. Just hoping it does the trick! Good luck with yours Catty & Pinky Xx

Anyone else fed up of the 'are you still pregnant/any signs' comments? Just logged on facebook and because I haven't updated my status from yesterday 2 people have posted to my wall asking where I am! Updated my status saying I'm still here and it's unlikely that I'm going anywhere lol.

Thanks girls, PP - yes I'm getting sick of the comments too. My OH pointed out yesterday that I'd be upset if no one cared to ask, and I know he's right so I am trying not to mind, but when you feel frustrated yourself at the waiting, you really don't need the reminders from others :-/

I know I'm trying to rationalise it in my head as well but sometimes you just wanna shout leave me alone lol. Even DH is getting bombarded with questions now. I said to him welcome to my world!

i've got a sweep this time next week - can't wait to hear what they say is going on down there - but i bet they say "hhmm your cervix is very closed, hard to reach and not softening at all yet!" at least if i suspect the worst anything else will be a bonus! With my first pregnancy they couldn't even DO a sweep as cervix was so closed!!!! I just can't wait now - it's tooooo exciting!!!

We're trying!

In a continuation of my desperate attempt to convince myself that cream donuts can bring on labour I am attempting to make my own. Homemade foods are always healthy! I think kneading the dough is good as I have had lots of BH since doing it. Can't wait to try them, I hope they work out ok. Worst comes to the worst I will just have to settle for a bowl of cream.

Still nothing .. Ive had swollen hands for over a week now had to take all my wedding rings off as they were cutting into my fingers ... ohh well gonna get my last few bits tomorow then off to hospital early thursday

Nanc - on a complete side note, you have a krispy creme drive thu near you - thats amazing!! I need to get out of sleepy Devon - saying that, pregnancy weight loss is now underway, so its probably best my nearest place to buy them is 2 hrs away!

Yeah, it's right next to a starbucks drive through so on a naughty day I can get a box of crispy cremes and a frappucino! You think it's great until you realise you need to take a new route home to avoid having a 12ilb baby
