May Mummies!!!!

Well crap news from the midwife, no signs of anything. She tried to give me a sweep but she said there nothing going not effaced at all. im 2-3cm but thats normal for 2nd pregnancys. She said that she really doesnt think babys going to be making an appearance in the next week at least. Also the earliest they can book me in to induce is friday the 13th! My sisters getting bloody married on the 14th! So im reallly not happy at all :(... I told her how quiet baby has been and she said he he carried on to ring up hospital on saturday and tel them and hopefully go in and get monitored, she said I may be able to get a earlier inducment date if Im actually there already asking them. Cant see it though.. May have to just wait till the 15th so I can go my sisters wedding on the 14th. But my husband goes home on the 18th so he wont get much time with baby :( and I really dont want to go 15 odd days overdue Im fed up already :(

Why cant my baby just behave and come and meet his mummy :(

:hugs:Awww hun, you sound so disappointed. I really hope he proves everyone wrong and comes soon.

Pinky where did you get your clary sage oil from? I'm thinking about getting some too.

LouLou, that's good news about your c-section.

I had a midwife appointment this afternoon and she was lovely. I burst into tears more or less as soon as I walked into the room:shock: I told her I was in pain and not sleeping with the braxton hicks at night time. I asked to be referred to see a consultant (I'm under shared care) and I asked for a sweep. Apparently in this area they cannot do sweeps under 41 weeks and it's consultant discretion. So I told her I wanted to be referred, because of the traumatic birth I had with DD2 and I didn't want to go through it again this time with number 3. So I get to see him next Wednesday. Hopefully I won't need to see him though!

I'm fully engaged, hence the pains and everything else was ok. So baby is heading the right way:dance:

Has anyone heard of caulophyllum? Apparently it's an homeopathic meant to bring labour on? I've never heard or used it before but wondered if anyone else has?

:hugs: Pp! I got the clary sage oil in Holland and barrets today.
It's really strong!

Thanks Pinky, I think I'll nip and get some tomorrow. Anythings worth a go.

Exactly, you've nothing to lose! Was your mw understanding and did she say how quickly you'd be seen by a consultant?

She was very understanding, I'm not one to usually cry but as soon as she said "how are you?" I was away! Because Amy was so big at birth she went into distress which in turn made it a traumatic labour. I only have a small pelvis and my fear for this time is having another big baby. But I don't seem to be as big with this one as I was with Amy. So, I've told her that if I'm meant to go over upto 2 weeks I could possibly end up giving birth to a baby elephant! Hence why I want to be referred to see if I could be induced earlier. I have an appointment next wednesday so hopefully he'll be able to say that I can be induced or at least give me a sweep.

Good luck to becki28 who has her c section booked for tomorrow - hope all goes well and can't wait to hear that baby is safely here xx

Has anyone heard from ceramic? She was due yesterday...

Good luck becki!

Pp I hope the consultant can help a bit.

No jodie haven't heard
X

Notice jodie and cherelle are awake too! I'd really like to sleep through at least once before baby arrives!

lol i just commented on the other thread..... you always seem to be awake!

Im so restless, i think i might just spend the day in bed tomorrow. Fed up of pregnancy now! x

I'm not sleeping well at all now. I keep wondering where I'll find the energy for labour :/ and then after that I'll have a baby to look after so it would be nice to get some sleep before she arrives. You sound really fed up now cherelle :hugs:

Yeah i keep thinking the same, what if we go into labour on a couple of hours sleep?? Sorry im not helping lol!

Hmmm i have been fed up today - the whole stretchmark episode has worn me out i cant remember the last time i ever cried before today!! x

Awww hun, I did read your post but can't really relate as I got stretchmarks when I was 12 so they don't bother me at all. Sounds like you're a bit hormonal as well. But you'll be fine! And as the other girls said stretchmarks fade into a silvery line so they don't look red for long!
Yeah here's hoping we get some decent sleep before labour!!!!

yeah i think ive been more hormonal than ever these past few days - feel sorry for my OH!

At least we are prepared for motherhood, we might actually get more sleep when the litlle ones are here!! You had any twinges or anything tonight? My pains down low have stopped today :-( i was getting excited about them! x

They say you get more hormonal the closer you are to the end!!!!
Not much twinges since yesterday hun, has the clary sage oil burning last night. But I'll need to use less oil because its very strong!

Hey pinky and cherelle hope you both manage to get some sleep! Probably just your bodies preparing you for these night feeds! x

Thanks Jodie, away to try again. Hope you and your little lady are heading back to sleep too!
X
