Well last night I thought he was coming but he didn't shift!

I started with contractions at 12am with loads of sharp shooting pains in between my legs and then all my pains radiated into my back. After 2 hours they went away again! I was so disappointed. I've never wanted to be in so much pain before lol.

Sounds like out bodies are gearing up girls. Fingers crossed.

How disappointing that it didn't turn into anything, but exciting... they may start again today PP, or tonight. All my pains have been at night, I did have back pain at the same time as the low down ones actually, but she seems happy in there this morning

I have a midwife appointment today, I wonder if I cry at her whether she'll feel sorry for me and give me a sweep hehe.

Hi all,

Just got back from the midwife. Baby's head still not engaged so no chance he's coming anytime soon. Boo.

I'm getting so uncomfortable now though with loads of tightnings, pains, pressure and a bit of a clear out happening this morning. I was really expecting the midwife to say he was engaged and looking imminent. I'm so disappointed.

Good luck to all my due date buddies and everyone else waiting for thier LO's. The race is on!

Sorry nanc just realised how rude I was and hadn't answered you! I've had the majority of the pains at night too, but been getting the low down pressure pain during the day now as well!

Well Im fed up now girls, this baby is seriously trying to break my ribs and I just cant sit down as he hurts too much and when I eat he just stretched staright into my ribs. Hes not got enought space and needs to come out !! My back also killing when i sit down and at night Ive constantly got dead legs Im fine if im up and moving about though.. Im gonna complain lots to my midwife today and hope she does something... I just want my baby ... I predicted today and have been waiting for today and I DO NOT WANT TO WAIT ANYMORE!! I actually will cry if anyone else has there babys ...

Just a bit of a rant lol... Ive never wanted to be in pain before Will let you all know how midwife goes and hopefully someone will have a labour watch or something to keep me interested, although ill be very jealous

Catty, if it's any consolation to you my DD2 didn't become engaged until labour actually started and I was a day early with her so it still may happen. I know how disappointed you must feel though.

Beth, you rant away my love all you like. I think you're entitled to. The only place I find comfy now is on my ball I find he sinks down and I can breath a bit better.

I must say I'm not too uncomfortable, maybe its a good thing if you are? Its a sign, its a sign hahaha. Was thinking of getting some clary sage today, but I don't have a bath so can't use it in there. I could burn it I guess, Anyone else using it?

Yeah i am deffo excited now and not worried about labour although when it does happen ill probably crap myself!! I never understood before how women can be so desperate to give birth when its such a scary thing but im totally ready for him to come now and im only 37 weeks!!

PP im the same - only time im not uncomfortable is when im on my birthing ball, its so good for relieving the pressure down low and pressure on your ribs too.

Beth i know what you mean about having little feet stuck under your ribs its so annoying - i feel like hes bending my bones sometimes!! x

Well crap news from the midwife, no signs of anything. She tried to give me a sweep but she said there nothing going not effaced at all. im 2-3cm but thats normal for 2nd pregnancys. She said that she really doesnt think babys going to be making an appearance in the next week at least. Also the earliest they can book me in to induce is friday the 13th! My sisters getting bloody married on the 14th! So im reallly not happy at all ... I told her how quiet baby has been and she said he he carried on to ring up hospital on saturday and tel them and hopefully go in and get monitored, she said I may be able to get a earlier inducment date if Im actually there already asking them. Cant see it though.. May have to just wait till the 15th so I can go my sisters wedding on the 14th. But my husband goes home on the 18th so he wont get much time with baby and I really dont want to go 15 odd days overdue Im fed up already

Why cant my baby just behave and come and meet his mummy

That's crappy news Beth, but he may come of his own accord soon, midwives don't know everything, and how can she really tell? You said she was useless so don't start stressing yet. xx

Right I've just started burning clary sage oil.......its a strange smell, got my cup of rlt here too Had to go up to the docs to get the palpitations checked out and pick up more Iron Tablets, all the staff were saying "have you not had that baby yet" - Clearly I haven't
