First she told me in a cheery voice that my face had filled out since she last saw me.... Bitch. Then she announced that my daughter has turned back to back... brilliant She better not arrive soon then, I need to get her turned around!

I'm getting induced on Monday at 3.30pm and expect to have baby on Tuesday. Sorry for queue jumping!

Thanks riotfox, I know, who wants to be told their face has filled out? You wouldn't say that to anyone who wasn't pregnant! I really hate that people think they can comment. Weeks ago a woman at work asked the usual, 'ooh are you sure it's not twins?' I was only a size 12 before getting pregnant and have only put on two stone so I'm not even massive! And even if I was really big, it's not for others to comment is it? Sorry for the rant everyone.... I am fuming!

Gah, I agree about your rude cheeky midwife Nanc, you'd never ever say to anyone normally that they were looking fat about the face or whatever, it's so rude, it's even meaner to say it to someone who's pregnant I reckon, like we don't have enough other stuff to worry about.

I'm getting induced because I have gestational diabetes and although everything is going well, they are a bit concerned about baby movement, fluid volume and protein/blood in pee I believe, though this is going from my notes as no one has actually said specifically why, and I didn't ask as was a bit reeling from having the internal!

I will let you know how the induction goes - really hope it's ok, it's hard not to think of it as an appointment for a spot of torture though. So if I come out saying it's not that bad then it really must be ok

Seriously, why can't midwives keep their mouths shut? Ignore her honey. Hopefully you're little girl will turn the right way before labour starts.

Cantstop, I don't mind you queue jumping, your baby being safety is paramount. Must be nice to know there is an end in sight for you though.

My little man has been rather quiet today. So I phoned labour ward up who suggested a big cold drink and a snack. Anyway a drink and some fruit pastilles later he woke up but I wouldn't say he's been as hyper as he normally is.

Pp mines been veryyyy quiet today maybe its the change in the weather lol but ive been boiling all day!.. hes had the odd movement so I know hes ok but barely anything.. we can hope its a good sign

As of Saturday I'm full term so I'm happy to be the first may mummy from the ones due in may. I feel for the over due ladies though. Hope yous go soon. X
