it's not that - they wont do a growth scan because there has to be 2 weeks in between for accuracy- which is what they had told me first off.....nobody has really explained why the cord can be fine but the growth stopped. They keep saying baby has 'stopped growing' which i think is a bit scaremongering considering she DID grow but just not much! I'm a bit concerned now that seeing as they cant scan for another 2 weeks , if it is bad then, i havent had the steroids needed for early delivery. Her abdo measurement had not changed at all in the 2 weeks between scans which is an indicator that there is not enough goodness getting through, so how bad might it be in 2 weeks??. One of the sonogrpahers/midwives said they presume the placenta is failing. I think its one of those things where they have time to step in as long as being monitored , and i will be in twice a week from now, i'm just a little concerned that i didnt get the talk about steroids that i had been told i would have. The steroids are needed at least 24 hours before delivery to mature a premature babies lungs.
