chart stalkers

Hi everyone

sookie those pictures are fantastic :D I really want to go now too, also it's really nice to be able to put a face to the name :D I have bought a saliva ferning thing from ebay it should arrive soon, I'm hoping to use it as a backup to the OPKs.

babydust, oooh I'm really excited got my fingers crossed for you

Bagpuss sorry your appointment wasn't much help

Hey to everyone else

Went to my herbalist this evening. She says that my temps are very low and that she thinks I may have a thyroid problem even though I show no real symptoms of hyper or hypothyroid. She wants me to get a blood test done and to ask for the numerical data as opposed to them saying whether my levels are normal or not. She said that what counts for normal under test conditions may not be conducive to getting pregnant. I have been doing a bit of research and it looks as though the jury is out on this issue. However it has put me into a bit of a downer about TTC at the moment :(

 morning everyone sorry af got you sookie  but good about the 14 day luteal phase :) your picture are great i want to be there.

well still no af for me i have to take the progesterone cream for another 2 days so we will see what happens after that, even if its not a bfp im so happy that my luteal phase has really lengthened :)

how is everyone else doing today?

Morning

Claire how exciting - still no AF!! When will you test? Where did you buy the cream from? Did someone recommend it to you? When I had my CD21 test done my levels were low but now I think I was actually pregnant then but the fetus was in the abdominal cavity - one of the signs of which is low progesterone during pregnancy!!! But I am thinking if it is the natural progesterone it cannot harm to use it even if you dont need it - thats if I ever get a normal cycle again!! :D

Sookie what an amazing way to celebrate christmas - it looks fantastic over there - lucky you!!

Kitty has made me feel all inadequate with her home made biscuits so I'm off to get the stuff to bake a ham today - we wont need it until Boxing Day but if I get all the stuff then I can do it on Boxing Morning...... :-)

Mildly and Bagpuss sorry you both feel you are not getting great signs for your fertility - I would say relax a bit and see what happens but I know how much that drives me mad :rotfl: I am beginning to think anyone who opens a business within the TTC market is on to a winner!! I hate to think how much between us we spend on pills and potions......

Scones try not to get too hung up on it all - just enjoy the bedding and do it often if you can...... (hmmm pot calling the kettle black here!!)

Chrissy know what you mean about straighteners - mine keep on dissapearing into my sons room!!! along with my hairdryer - was going to get him some for christmas but mine are GHD's and when I suggested it to him he said not to bother if I didnt buy him some of them!!! Goodness only knows what will happen when he goes to uni!!

Kitty I am thinking of investing in a CBFM once everything is sorted out - are they easy to use? Need to do some investigation I think....

Anyway - need to go and start the ironing - not done any since I have been ill and the laundry room is full!! Determined to finish it all today even though I have to sit down to do it at the moment!!

Have a good day everyone x x x x x x

Morning ladies.....

Babydust - I hope that you having no AF is more than just a lengthening of you LP and more because your about to get a BFP

Mildly - Try not to be too down about things..... your herbalist sounds like they know what they are on about and I'm sure that whatever the results of your test that they will do whatever they can to help you out

Scones - Welcome back.... Love the attitude of just sticking you legs in the air a couple of times a month..... that's how I started and look at me now!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Bagpuss - I get the same thing with OPK's, they generally fade in then back out again after I've have a positive. At least it means you can get some early BDing in

ROM - How did you go on at your scan???? Did they answer all your questions? Hope it was what you wanted to hear

 to everyone else

I was on a bit of a downer with TTC yesterday but I'm feeling a bit better today......can't believe it's only 6 days until santa comes..... :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Morning Chrissy - you must have been typing as I was :rotfl:

Thanks for asking about the scan - dont want to take over this positive thread so I have posted about it on the main board if you are interested - there was good news and bad news and no news at all!!! :rotfl: But at least I am getting better at the waiting game...... :wall:

Just read it on the other post ROM and I was about to reply on there......I'll pop in there and put a post on there

hi all,

ROM -

Babydust - F very firmly X for you!

Mildly - probably worth getting the test just to rule it out. If you go to your doc's and complain of tiredness, it's one of the tests they automatically do (that and glandular fever). So you could be a bit sneaky and say you're absolutely knackered (at this time of year, I'm sure most of us are!)... However, my temps are remarkably similar to yours - I think my range goes 0.1 lower and 0.1 higher. I don't think I have a thyroid problem - it was ruled out 18 months ago. Then again, I don't have a baby either!

Sookie - glad you're having a great time! Sorry AF came - but at least you're getting it out the way and it won't be hanging over you in a 'is it, isn't it?' kind of way. Crap timing though. The pics look great - I love looking at other people's photos!

Chrissy - Know how you feel. I was like that earlier this month too. I felt like flouncing off and saying 'well I didn't want a baby anyway, so there!' :rotfl:

Bagpuss - don't you normally have a faint line on all your OPKs? I've been POAS since CD9 and every single one has a faint line. I thought that was normal  Last month's OPKs all had a faint line too - even though I was POAS right up until 3 days before AF started because I didn't think I'd ov'ed. I'm collecting this month's - I'll take a photo of the series at the end of the cycle and post it on here.

 to everyone else!

Well, I'm on CD17 and still no sign of the egg... CBEFM is still on low, which suggests ov is at least 3 or 4 days away, if not more. ROM - the CBEFM is really easy to use, but it is yet another thing to obsess about. And it did miss my surge last month - but then again, it obviously wasn't a good one, because until AF arrived I was convinced from my temps that I hadn't ov'ed until CD18. The previous months were great. Lows, four Highs, then the Peak. Plus it's all very neat and tidy - you pee on the stick, replace the cap, stick it in the monitor, and hey presto. You're not supposed to read the lines on the stick, but I'm saving this cycle's 'for research purposes' anyway - I'll post a pic at the end of the cycle!

On the other hand, I have upped the ante on the domestic front. I've simmered the weekend's roast chicken carcass for stock, which will make the Xmas Day gravy, I've stuck cloves in oranges for the scent (actually, a pain in the arse, but my mother always does it so I thought I'd better too, to escape criticism!), and I've made a big batch of cinnamon ice cream to go with the Xmas pud. Yum yum. I was feeling so pleased with myself until half an hour ago when I realised I still hadn't bought FIL's present! So that's this evening's task!

Maybe my body's just delaying ov until the stress of Xmas has passed

  OMG kitty....how organized are you!!! I still haven't even ordered a Turkey yet......never mind started making stock for the gravy!!! :rotfl: I was wrapping pressies at 6 this morning because I realised that it's nearly last posting day and I still haven't put any of my posting ones in the post yet!! :rotfl:

I'm normally sooo organized but this year I'm totally useless... I think it's because I'm too busy obsessing about peeing on stikcs and temping that I haven't got time to think about anything else.. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi all, happy wednesday to you all. Ive finished work today for xmas so im happy to be at home before my son finishes school, ah its quiet.....

 still no af i havent tested yet since a couple of days ago im just scared to incase my hope are trashed

ROM here is the link about the cream
www.progesterone.co.uk i think it was £17.99 including postage and one tub last about 3 months.

Thanks Claire - your temps look good today too so we will keep everything crossed for you - we need a Christmas BFP to keep us going :D I will send for that cream after christmas - I cant see that it can do any harm - just wish things would get back to normal for me - the stonographer said the bleeding I had wouldnt have been a true AF so if I took it from what I think my last proper AF was I would have been due last Sunday - having said that I was probably pregnant during my last bleed I thought was a period - grrrr I just wish I knew where I am in my cycle!!! Decided to start temping again this morning just so I can see what is happening........

Well - I've now bought all my pressies, wrapped them all, put them under my beautiful but odd tree, cleaned the house from top to bottom and have done the 3 baskets of ironing that have mounted up since before I was poorly - pain is back this evening but think that is because I have done too much  Oh yes got all excited and made a big pot of French Onion soup for tea then realised they were all out this evening so cried..... :rotfl: Also got around to buying the stamps and posting my christmas cards so now I feel Christmas can begin........

Hope you all have had productive days - when do you all finish work for the holidays???

Hey all,

Kitty - You are a domestic goddess. You put me to shame. We are extremely disorganised this year, ho hum.

In answer to your question regarding the opks, no I only ever get a faint line 1 or 2 days before I ov normally and usually the day after. The rest of the time it's completely blank, no line at all apart from the control line of course.

Babydust - fingers crossed for you. Where's the link to your chart gone? Sounds really hopeful for you, I really hope you get your BFP. Kickstart the good fortune in our chart stalkers group.

Mildly - Have you looked at FF for charts with hypo/hyperthyroidism to compare. The Taking Charge of your Fertility book has a couple of examples also. Defo worth getting a blood test to rule it out. Try not to worry about it though because it may not be an issue for you at all.

ROM - You've been busy today, very productive. Make sure you take things easy now. You've been and still are going through a lot, you need to make sure you rest up a bit. You're absolutely right about relaxing about things, easier said than done eh. I hope that when I finish for xmas on Friday, I will chill out a bit more.

Just heard another friend is 11 weeks pregnant with their 2nd child, that's 3 friends preggers expecting babies June/July/August. To keep the trend going I think that means I have a seat reserved for a September baby :)

 everybody else

Morning all

Kitty you have been busy. I try to do as much as possible in advance too makes it so much easier.

Babydust I really hope AF is still absent   for that Christmas BFP!!

Mildly hope you are OK  I think a trip to the docs to know where you are after the herbalists comments is called for.

Bagpuss  for a September baby for you!

ROM    I read your thread, hope you are feeling better today after doing too much (naughty!) yesterday. Take it easy.

Scones - lucky you on Christmas hols already. I still have two days at work :(

Chrissy I have been distracted this year too, normally I'm well ahead of myself at Christmas but this year I was too busy obsessing and worrying about 2008 coming with no baby, now I've calmed down and realised I now have to panic about getting Christmas stocking fillers for my dad and my OH so something new to worry about now!

Sad news from Flick in the miscarriage and loss section

well i have a dilema :wall:

af still not here
got a faint positive this morning
but had a little pink when i wiped
my temp is also down but i dont know if its to do with the temp in the house as dh was too hot last night and put the heating off :x

i think only time will tell.

Claire!!!!!! Get to your doctors now........ Go see them and get them to do a progesterone test - how exciting - our very own BFP for christmas x x x x x Pink spotting isnt always bad you know :D Fingers crossed here for you and your DH x x x If you implanted when you got the dip on 7 dpo and you dont check your cervix it may take that long to travel down..... I hope :D

Morning all

Well you Kitty and ROM you inspired me to get some christmas stuff done last night so I wrote all my cards out and stamped the ones that need them..... I wrapped all the pressies, apart from two which I found in the wardrobe this morning, and I stuck pretty bows and tags on all my DH's presents. After that I give the house a quick tidy round to make it look presnetable again and then I cleaned all the upstairs windows..... How good am I!!

Very sad news about Flick.... it's so horrible when something like that happens to anyone!

Bagpuss - Looks like we're in the same boat because I've got 3 pregnant friends too and all due June/July time as well!! It's so pants.

It's my last day at work tomorrow.....thank goodness and I can't wait to finish!

  hope everyone is well

:wall: :wall: :wall: went to the toilet again and af is here so i dont know whats going on.
