chart stalkers

Hello all

Can I join you? First month charting properly. Cycle settling down after depo but started to look a bit more regular last month. By that reckoning due AF on Sunday.

Was quite hopeful, everything well timed. But have a really icky tummy today and suspect PMS. Should stop me symptom spotting anyway (I hope) - very sore boobs, haedaches, nausea, bloating and a few others I think I've invented!

I need to take 2 tablets for 3 days, there also supposed to help prevent recurrent infections. Bloomin hope so. Never had cystitis before and I go and get it in the 2WW probably because of all the BD'ing we've been doing :wall:

If my cycle is 32/33 days as it is usually, it means I will be ov'ing xmas week :( Not so bad because we won't have any visitors or anything but I was looking forward to just chilling out over xmas. BD'ing lots is so tiring but at least we can have lie-ins (ofsorts with a toddler in tow).

I would just make a note of your cycle this month. I've had a 26 day cycle this year and then it went back to normal the month after.

   chill - welcome for chart stalkers. We've all missed out in November so we're all hoping for Xmas BFP's

Kitty - I think if you doc mentioned about it being ok for a one off bleed then I would go and see him now it's happened again. He may just say it's nothing to worry about but it's better to be safe than sorry.

On the car story, I can remember I worked all summer when I was 17 to buy myself a car and because I was working so much my mum and dad found me one which was ace. When I got it I was so excited that I spent hours and hours cleaning it..... I even got my polish out and cleaned the engine!! :rotfl: :rotfl: Funnily enough I don't that anymore!! :?

Bagpuss - good news about your Xmas OV date being earlier. At least christmas will be spent enjoying yourself rather than stressing that it's OV time.

  to everyone

It's Kitty whose ov date will be early as her af is shorter this month.

Unfortunately for me I will ovulate Dec 29th so xmas week will be busy for me. Hmmm...

Not much drinking either, rubbish timing :(

Hi chill and welcome  Bad luck you've joined us at the grumbling stage! We'll all be a lot more positive in a week or so!

Can you put your FF link in your signature file, so it comes up at the bottom of every message? I'm sure Babydust will add your link to the front page if you ask her nicely  but sometimes it's a faff to go back and hunt for the link, so much easier if you can read the post, then click!

If you don't know how, I posted a thread somewhere (and it's on an earlier page in this thread) - go to My Profile, then insert it in the signature file, but you need to take out all the crap from round it, or that comes up too.

Bagpuss, well, at least if you have only a toddler in the house, you don't need to worry too much about the noise! I was dreading TTC with my parents in the room on one side, and DH's parents in the room on the other - not that we scream and moan a lot  :rotfl: but the whole creaky bed thing, going to the bathroom half an hour later, etc etc, is just too awful to contemplate. Really puts me off anyway.

By the way, on the cystitis front, I've read quite a few stories of women who've had it for the first time when TTC because of trying to keep everything inside. I've read medical advice (including in the Zita West book) that says the sperm should be well inside within 10 minutes, but to play it safe, you should remain still for half an hour. However, it's a good idea to then go to the loo - one of the causes of cystitis can be NOT going to the loo after sex. If you wait 30 mins, anything that comes out is the stuff you don't want/need inside anyway.

Again - I'm not a doctor. I've followed this advice, and I don't have cystitis (touch wood) - but then, I don't have a BFP either. So it's entirely up to you what you make of the recommendation!

Chrissy - I laughed about you cleaning the car engine. I cleaned the dipstick    :rotfl: You can imagine what my family called me after that! That's definitely one of the stupidest things I've done!

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll wait till Af has finished (just in case the doc needs to do an examination  :puke: !) and then go. Otherwise I'll just be told to come back later, I think, especially if I can't say how many days of spotting I had, and how many days of full flow (I guess I'm still calling this spotting, as it's not yet on the liner, let alone needing a pad/tampon, but there's lots when I wipe?).

Kitty - I will be very strict with going to the loo afterwards next month. Definitely, I don't want anything else getting in our way of a BFP for my birthday.

I always get spotting before my af arrives. If it's unusual for you, perhaps it's an IB? I got one on 11/12 DPO with my first.

Welcome Chill, good luck with TTC.

Kitty I think its a great idea to wait until you see where the spotting leads - you just never know - but a would book an appointment after AF (if it ever comes) and just talk it through - if you then have to take things further at least they have a note on your files. They may want to do BW at 7 dpo if you have just started spotting to check your progesterone and the more you can rule out the better I think........

Interestingly if I put in a higher temp for tomorrow and the next day ff puts dashed lines in for yesterday - I have to be honest though I think this month is a write off as I cannot see how I can have any lining left after the bleeding I had!! Decided not to take the AC after seeing the stuff you posted for me so it will have to build naturally.......

I am now in the self doubt stage about the car - what happens if its the wrong make or colour :wall: I was thrilled when my parents gave me my first car I had Hannah who was 3 and Josh was 6 months and it gave me my independence back - but 17 - 18 year old boys are very different than girls!!!

 hi, i just wanted to say goodbye im taking time out of ttc just now it has got too stressfull i just want to give my dh and my girls all my attention just now, i hope you all dont have to wait too long for your bfp, i will come back now and again to check how you are all doing :D

Babydust, I've posted on your other thread but I think it's a really good idea - you sound like you really need some time out, and time to relax. Do come back and say hello though!

rom - AF seems to have arrived in a light bright red rush this evening :x Still doesn't look like normal AF though - but it's definitely red. TBH, I'm starting to lose my memory of what's normal! What's 'BW'? Sorry, I'm probably being thick. But yes, I think I will see the doctor - that was a 26-day cycle. Not short for some, but a full week shorter than my normal cycles.

Hmm, I'll watch your next two days' temps with interest!

I don't think a gifted car - especially one you're not expecting - could ever be the wrong make or colour! Unless, of course, you've bought him a pink SmartCar. If it's a standard Fiesta or Polo or Micra, or something like that (see how much I know about cars!!!) and it doesn't look like something Barbie and Ken would drive, then your son is simply going to see it as wheels and be over the moon. Though he may later customise it with spoilers, tinted window film, strip lights under the chassis, custom hub caps and a bootful of speakers...

p.s. Babydust - have you told your DH that's what you're doing? Especially - have you spelt out to him that you felt selfish and upset the other day, and you want to concentrate on him for a bit? Men don't seem to get the subtleties so much of the time, and after what you posted, I think your DH would feel so much better if he knew you were doing it because you care about him - you may find that with you both happy and relaxed, things happen without you trying! :) Anyway, wishing you all the best, and see you back here in the New Year!

Sorry Kitty BW = Blood Work. :D I spend too much time on these bloody forums

Evening :)

Welcome chill

Claire  sorry you're finding it stressful, hopefully the break will leave you happier and in a better frame of mind. I haven't read your other thread yet as I always open this one first but will go read it shortly.

Bagpuss :( about the cystitis. I really hope the tablets don't affect your chances but so much better for you to get it dealt with - it can be really nasty if its a severe bout and left. As to the thing about not emptying bladder after it is also important to empty bladder before (god that sounds like a tedious sex manual) as if it is full then it can get bruised easier I think.

Kittykins so crap about AF and early too. I think from looking at your chart you have had a LP of 12 days? How does that compare to other times? Lets just hope its a one off. I don't understand why short LP's aren't good though - I was only 11 days last month (1st month charting) so waiting to see what it is this month.

ROM so fab about your boys car! What is it you are looking at? £1700 for insurance is ridiculous though :wall:

Chrissy     at you cleaning the engine. I have a classic car and I polished it once and moaned the whole time and that was just the exterior. I normally persuade my OH to do it for me.

Hello to everyone else

CB23 we got him a Fiat Seicento sx - its dead cute and because its a SX its got electric windows, sunroof, central locking and electric mirrors - its so tiny only 999 cc so we could actually get a big box and wrap it up for Christmas morning!! :D :D Just had a call from his Grandad and he is going to pay for half his insurance for the first year for his 18th Birthday pressie (he's 18 on the 29th December), Dave has said he will pay for the other half so he doesnt have to worry for the first year so he is one lucky boy!! I just cant wait now....... how many sleeps is it???

How fab ROM what a lucky lad. ummmm uses fingers to count

loses count, starts again

umm 22 sleeps and its Christmas day :cheer: I think. This may or may not be wrong.

I love the idea of his dinky little car in a box all wrapped up  [/i]

Hi Again,

Just checking I got the chart into my sig file OK.

Fingers crossed for everyone for xmas BFPs. If I get a BFN this week, I'm taking Christmas month off from the BD pressure so I can overindulge in cocktails on hols ;-) Then refocus in Jan, I think.

C

Morning all

I've had a bigger rise today but because I forgot to temp on Sunday FF won't confirm OV date until tomorrow :x I think I'll leave it a couple more days before I start to actively symptom spot.. :rotfl: :rotfl:

ROM - I wouldn't worry too much about the car. As Kitty says.... so long as it's nothing too girly I'm sure your son will be pleased with whatever you get him. after all at that age a car to drive around in is soooo cool.

Babydust -  I'm glad you've decided to take a break. It will give you and you DH the chance to re-focus your energy and it may just get you in the mood again and take some of the stress off. We'll miss you though so make sure you keep popping back to say hello to us all and you're welcome to still stalk my chart while you're having a break.

Chill - I'm with you on taking next cycle off so I can enjoy christmas and new year and take in a few cocktails! Only rubbish thing is though that because of my birthday weekend away the only christmas party I've got this year is 3 days before I'm due to test so I won't be able to have a drink.... :( :(

Morning all - welcome Chill - your chart is looking good :D

Kitty I am so sorry, I'm not sure what to say but that was some short cycle for you - I do think that after a loss the body does shift its balance a little so hopefullly its sorted itself all out for next month..... If you OV early you can get loads of bedding in without the stress of visitors....

I am now seriously thinking of spliting my chart - just have to work out how to do it - had a chat with the lady doctor who rang me with the results and she thinks I just had a short cycle in which I didnt ovulate and the bleeding last week was actually AF. If my temp had risen today I would have thought differently but actually it dropped slightly which makes me think she may be right..... :D

Hope the tablets are starting to work Bagpuss x

Chrissy if your temps rise tomorrow then FF should put your lines in fx hey.....

:cheer: now only 21 sleeps till Chistmas...... :D

Morning all!

This is a quick one - have promised myself that I'll spend less time on the forum and only in the evening (yeah right) - obviously starting after this post!

rom - to split a cycle, bring your chart up, then on the left click on the cycles tab - it will bring up a short list of options, including 'split cycle'.

How strange for you though!

Yes, I'm really, really confused by mine. It was a 26-day cycle, fp of 14 days, lp of 12 - but spotting on 11 and 12dpo. The first cycle in which ov was detected, which was normal, was 33 days, fp of 20, lp of 13. The only other cycle that I know about ov was the chem, so the lp may have been a couple of days longer because of that - it was 15. Anyway, my temp plummeted this morning. Actually, I had a great night's sleep - I've noticed that when my temps are high, I sleep really badly, waking up lots because I'm too hot!

Right, I'd better get back to work. From now on, I will update my FF chart in the morning, but save forum posting till the evening. I think for my own sanity I need to start thinking about TTC less - even just popping on here to see how you're all doing makes me start to think about myself, and our chances, and I don't think that's good. I also think that this month, I'm going to chart till ov, but then simply record my temps in the diary and not put them into FF - just to stop me obsessing so much. Don't know if that will work though - I can easily visualise the graph in my head!

TTYL!

Thanks Kitty - I have now split my cycle and started a new one from last Tuesday - so I am back at CD8 :wall: On a plus note I got my new supply of OPK's this morning so of course had to poas and it is very close to positive!! Will test again later see that it wasnt a fluke...... :D Dave had just got dressed and had gone down to his office but as he is in London this evening until very late made him come home :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Really determined not to miss our opportunity this month now - having had such a strange start to the cycle.....

Kitty do you think that just making a note of your temps will stop you obsessing???? :rotfl: I have thought that perhaps after Ov has been decected I might stop temping then until AF comes but i know me I would panic..... :rotfl: Absolutely no will power at all!!!!

Hope everyone else is OK today

I think that even if I decided not to temp I would still be looking for all the signs that I was OV and testing my CM daily and everything so I'm not even going to kid myself and bother.

Me and DH have decided though that if I don't get a BFP for my birthday this month that we are having a month off. I'm still going to temp, just so I can keep my chart going, but we're going to let the pressure off......it's only so I divulge in a few cocktails over christmas and new year without worrying about whether I'm PG or not! :rotfl:
