what a crap month it's turned out to be for the chart-stalkers! Big

to everyone, especially Bagpuss.
I thought it might have been IB the first couple of days, with the pale pinkish stuff. But today's the third day, and it's now the brown watery stuff that you might get at the very end of AF. I think my body's playing silly buggers. Just waiting for AF to start properly now, and then it'll confirm that I did ov on CD14 after all.
I suppose the good thing is that with AF coming a week earlier than anticipated, the expected December ov date moves forward to (and even further forward if I ov on CD 14 again!) - looks like it'll now be the week/week-end before Xmas, rather than Xmas itself when we have a house stuffed full of parents. That would be good - DH will be relaxed, we can have some fun, and then the 2ww will go really quickly with all the festivities.
Bagpuss - how long do you need to take the tablets? and are you likely to be similar timing to me next month as well? If so, you too can look forward to the fastest 2ww ever!
sookie - sorry to hear about your charting troubles too. Hope you have a really relaxing time!
CB23 - hope your cold's better (gosh, we really are a bunch of crocks, aren't we?!)
Chrissy - come on, you have to get that BFP for several of us!

FX for a fab birthday surprise!
ShellBham - hope the result today was better than you were expecting... FX for you, and will look for your post later.
Babydust, hope you're feeling a bit better after the stress of the past couple of days
Mildly, I'm doing my best to catch you up! When do you expect to ov this month?
ROM - I'm not going to ask when you expect to ov!

I think DH and I might try the SMEP this month, and BD every other day from CD8 till I get a +OPK or a Peak CBEFM or really stretchy EWCM - or anything, in fact, since none of those seem to be reliable indicators - and then BD every day. If we can. Sounds like you're doing the same! At least the tests were clear, that must be a huge relief.
If you're excited about the car, I can't begin to imagine how excited your son will be! I remember when my parents gave me my first car, for my 17th (yes, I was lucky to be given the car so early - but there was a hidden agenda, I had to drive my brothers the 45 min journey each way from school and back from then on, saving my mother the drive!) - I was so thrilled, and so surprised. I was also absolutely terrified. I sat in the car for three hours, reading the manual and checking things. I was so absorbed in it, I didn't notice my parents practically wetting themselves with laughter and taking lots of photos! I also remember that for at least two years afterwards, I kept asking my parents if they wanted to be driven anywhere, or collected from anywhere - I was almost forcing them to go out for dinner so that I could drive to pick them up! FX your son does the same for you, that would be a good investment in the car and insurance!
So - do any of you think that I should see the doctor about having a 27-day cycle and pre-menstrual spotting, when I usually have 33-day cycles and no spotting, or do you think I should just make a note, and see what happens next month? I'd feel a bit silly going, especially after going last month, but last month the doctor said that if the spotting was just a one-off, and we knew it was a chem, we had a reason and I shouldn't worry. Well, now it's not a one-off... so I'm trying to work out if that means I should worry? Or put it to the back of my mind for a few days and see if anything else odd happens? It's so difficult not to worry when unusual things happen, isn't it?
