chart stalkers

Bagpuss, I'd started to wonder about the spotting and lp deficiency. Thing is the spotting only started after I read about it...  The first month of spotting was when I had a chem pg, and my GP told me that the spotting was nothing to worry about, it was simply the body trying to hang on to the embryo and not being sure whether it was coming or going. But then I had spotting last cycle too... I don't know at what point it stops becoming a one-off and starts becoming something to worry about! I decided to see what happens this month, and if I spot again, then go to the doctor in the new year. It looks like my hormones were completely messed up last cycle, with the LH surge being missed by OPKs and the CBEFM, and ov happening several days early, so it might turn out that the chem mucked up the cycle afterwards and the spotting was linked to that. I feel like I can go to the doctor only when I've had at least one 'clean' cycle! Both the last two periods were heavier than usual - the chem was very heavy, but even the last one surprised me. The earliest day I've spotted has been 11dpo, and I think the lp is considered short only if it's shorter than 10dpo - so I'm not sure that the lp length is necessarily a problem, it's whether the spotting is symptomatic of anything else that I'm concerned about (e.g. PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis - anything really, the more I read, the more hypochondriacal I become!)

 about your friend. I think a lot of us feel this way at the moment - I think it's probably particularly bad because it's the run-up to Christmas, there are kids' toys and clothes everywhere and it's a child-orientated time of year.

I just realised that my next period is due sometime between 28 Dec and 4 Jan (depending on ov!). I'll be spending New Year's Eve with two couples with a baby each and one couple 7 months pg. Hmmmm

Mildly - when do you think you're likely to ov?

Yep, CB, gearing up for Ov :D We have been busy practising as I'm just not convinced about those OPKs and don't want to get caught out ;) I have just read the intro to the Zita West book, it sounds really interesting already - *whispers* buy them CB, you know you want to :rotfl: Lol that reminds me I must order some more pre seed too :D

Bagpuss, it is really hard when friends say they're pregnant. Makes me very glad my best friend is a gay man ;) I don't think I would chart through my pregnancy either, I'd be too paranoid! I'll be interested to hear what your doctor says next week about the spotting.

Edit - Kitty, no idea when I expect to ovulate :( OPK was a little less faint today but nowhere near dark enough. Also I have been trying to CM spot but haven't really had much and certainly no EWCM. In fact nothing that will make any attempt at stretching. I think we will just BD every other or every day and wait for the temp rise. I don't really have enough charts under my belt to make a good prediction either

Wow, Kitty, reading your situation with the spotting at the moment is like reading back my own story.

I've had several days of pre AF spotting for 3 of the last 4 cycles now. This cycle at 9DPO, think last cycle it was at 10DPO and in August it was a couple of days after ov'ing. Other than that, in every other cycle I've started spotting the day before my AF.

My last 2 cycles have been much heavier than normal too and clotty. Last cycle I had one big clot. This cycle, the spotting was clotty as well as my bleeding.

I was dithering about whether to wait until the new year too but I'm so worried about it I want to get to the docs this month. They might test for any infections. As you say it may be a symptom of something else.

My temps have been very up and down this cycle too post ov, that's not very encouraging but it could be due to the UTI.

Frustrating because I always have plenty of fertile CM, I know I'm ovulating, even had pink streaks in my CM last cycle on ov day but the 2nd half of my cycle is letting me down.

I will keep you all posted on what the doc says, lets hope they will be of use.

CB - Sorry AF has got you. Your LP was a good length though this month :D

Keep BD'ing mildly, get your little swimmers ready and waiting for the egg :D

I also keep reading about how vitamin B6 helps with short LPs. It helps to increase progesterone levels. So miffed that my pregnacare tablets disagree with me, that has all the essential b vitamins in them.

I will ask my doc about this too.....see what they say.

Good moring everyone. I feel much brighter this morning - Dave actually picked me up at 10.30 last night from my mums - bless him December is his busiest month and he is all over the country, I have been so worried about him as we havent actually got to see each other since I had had my scan on Tuesday - it was just so lovely to have a hug and the chance to talk face to face. He is a typical man - bloody awful at emotions but we had a good cry together and have promised each other that no matter what the outcome to all this we will stay strong and together  Didnt actually get to bed until nearly 2 but did atleast sleep for the first time this week, although I was still awake by 7.00 am!! I'm off to the hospital to have more blood tests at 10 am - Dave has to go back to London so his mum is taking me, but his business partner has arranged to do all the deliveries on Tuesday so he can come to the scan and see the consultant then to see how things are going - I suppose we will know then more of a time scale about how things are progressing and also have a chance to ask more questions - starting a list as things keep on popping into my head and I know when I get there they will disappear!!

Anyway I'm so sorry Bagpuss that you are having this worry - I am honestly beginning to wonder if all this charting really helps - sometimes it seems the pressure it puts on us makes things more difficult!!!!

Kitty I hope that the day goes as well as it can on Friday - gosh she was no age and the thought of those children being left without a mum just breaks my heart too :(

Mildly less reading more bedding young lady!! :D

CB sorry she got you - its so frustrating isnt it - I cannot believe how many years I have worried about getting pregnant by accident!!

Sookie if you log in I really hope your holiday is going well and you are getting lots of relaxation with your DH!!

Chrissy :rotfl: come on dont give up - just enjoy the trying!!!!

Gypsy and Chill I hope you are both OK.

Sorry if I have missed anyone but love to you all x x x

And she got me!

Stopping now for Xmas, will keep up the temping just to check if things are getting/keeping regular.

Don't think I'll log the drinks though, that could be a lot!!

Have a fantastic Christmas, merry New Year. I've just sprinked lots of babydust into this thread and I hope when I come back in Jan that you ALL have BFPs!

Chill

So sorry Chill :( hope you do pop back the odd time over Christmas to say hi - if not I'll wish you a Merry Christmas now

Good luck for today ROM. Glad you and Dave can be there for each other, I've read so many sad stories from people where their partner withdraws emotionally and its not what you need.

Bagpuss are you saying that you already take B6 in the pregnacare?

I have to admit I don't take any other supplements other than my folic acid.

Morning everyone....

Chill - so sorry that AF got you.. Make sure you have a very MERRY christmas to make up for it. Hope Santa brings you everything you want and have a great new year

ROM - so nice to hear your feeling a bit brighter and even though you and Dave had a good cry it's sometimes nice to know that the other halves care as much about all this as we do. Hope your tests go well today.

Kitty - I've ordered the Weschler book the 'taking control of your fertility or whatever it's called. It's one more attempt... if that doesn't work then I've pretty much tried everything and might just call it a day.

Bagpuss - I'm with you on it being annoying when friends get PG. Although I'm happy for them in a way 3 of my friends have all started TTC and got BFP's since I started and it's pants! all I can hope is that I get mine soon so I'll be the last one to have the baby! Hope you LP sorts itsefl out soon or that the doc does somethign useful for you

CB23 - if you get the book from Amazon let me know and we can be reading buddies and spur each other on.... in the hope it does some good

Mildly - Hope you get plenty of BDing in now your OV is due.

Gotta get some work done now so will have to quicken up...  to anyone I've missed.

It's my last day at work today becuase I'm off on a short break for my birthday on Sunday, by the time I come back on here on Tuesday I should know if AF has arrived or I've had a BFP!!    I'm due on Saturday, my temps are still looking ok and haven't dropped but I don't expect them to until tomoorw or Sat TBH so I'm going to be keeping my fx. Hopefully I'll be coming back with good news for you all........ I doubt it, but you never know....

Everyone wish me luck and throw me some babydust for the weekend

good luck to anyone else testing this weekend too

Chrissy your temps are looking good, I had a dip on day 9 and got a BFP on day 12

They say that having a dip on day 9/10 could mean implantation, finger crossed for you  Have a good weekend

Hi Guys!!!

ROM - I was reading back on a few posts to try to catch up and saw your horrid news.

I am so sorry that that happened to you. I can´t believe it. Just goes to show that you do have to push for what you need and listen to your body. I am so happy that you are recovering. Get well.

Everybody else - no BFPs yet? :( Still hoping that someone will get there for xmas.

Our holiday is lovely. Colombia is so beautiful. It really is incredible. We have been traveling thorugh the andes and going up to high altitudes. We stayed at a friends country house on top of a mountain with the most stunning views of this lake and many little inlets down below. It was just like the Austrian or Swiss alps. Absolutely incredible. We had a roaring fire each night. Now we have come down to a valley and are staying in this gorgeous colonial town. Picture perfect and hot. Had a swim. The best thing is there´s no touritst here! You have the whole country to yourselves.

Anyway, I am confused about my cycle. My temps have dropped but still no AF. I am now 15 DPO and my last luteal phase was only 11 days. I have been taking vitamin B6 as I read it helps to lengthen luteal phases. So maybe it has worked and AF is just around the corner (probably on my nest bus ride), or could I be preggers!!!! I tested yesterday and a BFN. I would really not expect a positive, but can´t help but hope...

The other poss is that I Oved later or not at all. Do you think it could be an anovulatory cycle??? Any thoughts?

Sorry to waltz in and demand stalking privileges. Promise I will make it up to you all when I am not on the move :D

Sorry - forgot to mention that had to sleep with Air con onlast night and woke up really cold. Not sure how much that would affect today´s temp though.

Hey all,

ROM - So glad that you are feeling brighter today and that you and your DH have had a good heart to heart. You sound like you have a solid relationship there, you've got to work through all of this turmoil together.

I think you're right about the charting, it can perhaps cause more stress. I think I'm only going to chart for 3 months or so then stop. I just want to see what's going on and see if my LP improves and pray my spotting goes. No embryo will implant if I keep spotting. :(

Chrissy - Your chart is looking fantastic. I really have a good feeling for you this month. If it isn't your month, it won't take long looking at those temps. It all looks really healthy for you.

CB23 - No I'm not taking pregnacare because they gave me IBS pains the first day I took them. I only took 2 and stopped. I'm going to take 1 vitamin b6 tablet a day from tomorrow. Folic Acid is a B vitamin and doesn't aggravate my IBS so I'm hoping the B6 will be OK. It's water soluable so I'm hoping it won't upset my stomach.

Sookie - Hi hun. Your LP is so much healthier this month. It does look as though you have ov'd from your chart. Your holiday sounds fab!!!! Enjoy!

Hey all

sookie, please show us a picture of the mountains the next time you drop in :) Glad you and OH are having a fab time. I would say you have definitely ovulated on CD25. Make sure you let us know the next time you test

Chrissy, chart is looking really good. It's triphasic too :cheer: Hope you have a great birthday and fingers crossed for your testing hun

Chill sorry AF got you  You make sure you enjoy your Christmas and New Year :cheer:

ROM, your Dave sounds lovely, you lucky thing you :D Hope the blood tests went ok xx

Bagpuss, I'm really hoping that you doctor can suggest a strategy for reducing your spotting next week. Hopefully then you won't even need to chart for another three months as you'll have got your BFP before then :D

Hi to everyone else

I've just finished my late night at work and am happy to report that OH did not insist on rushing to work and BDing in the loos :rotfl: Still no real sign of ovulation though, maybe in the next couple of days :D Do people's temps tend to reflect the same range from month to month? Pretty much all my temps so far this month have been below last month's cover line. Is it safe to assume that unless I get a temp as high as last month post-Ov temps, I probably won't have ovulated?

In unrelated news, my boss had his Nintendo Wii delivered to work today and we all had a go. I really want one now, they are so much fun! I beat him at golf and beat one of the other guys at bowling :rotfl: I think everywhere is out of stock at the moment anyway so we will probably wait until next year to treat ourselves - it's bound to be cheaper too :D

Just wanted tosay good morning to everyone.....so

 good Morning Ladies.

Sending you all baby dust and sticky glue, and wishing you all a very merry xmas

Love

Shell

Morning ladies,

I just wanted to wish you well today Kitty - I know words dont really help but I will be thinking about you and your parents and that poor ladies family - sort of puts everything into perspective a bit x x x x x

Not feeling too good myself so I wont go on (posted a thread on the loss section about yesterday at the hospital) but I hope you all have a great day too x x x x

Evening,

Kitty, hope you are OK after the funeral today. It must have been a tough time all around.

ROM - Read your posts in the loss section. It beggars belief the way some nurses treat patients. So many of them just aren't cut out for the job when it comes to bedside manners so to speak. Take things easy and give yourself plenty of time to recover.

Mildly, I haven't charted 2 months consecutively yet so not sure about the temp ranges. But it could well be quite normal to have a different temp range this month. I wouldn't be looking at last months chart to base your ov on. You can only confirm ov after 3 elevated temps on your current chart. Lots of factors can affect the temp range.

Keep BD'ing. Does it look as though you are going to ov later than normal this month?

I've got a Nintendo Wii, it's fab! Lots of places are getting them back in stock by the way. I don't think they'll come down in price for ages, the demand is too high.

Hey

It feels like our numbers are waning - everytime I return to this thread there are less replies :( But I know people said they were going to take a bit of a break over Christmas, fingers crossed the relaxation will mean BFPs a plenty come January

Kitty, hope the funeral went ok

ROM, just replied in your other thread

Chrissy, your chart is looking great :D I really hope you get your birthday wish!

gypsy, have a great Christmas

Bagpuss thanks for the reply, this is only my second month too so I guess I'll wait and see if my temps vary more towards the end of the month. There certainly hasn't been any real sign of ovulation yet.

I was playing with the work Wii all afternoon and was beating all the guys at bowling and golf. Heh, either they are geekier or I am better at sports than I first thought  Will you be having a Wii tornament on Christmas day Bagpuss? :D

Are you using opks Mildly? Are you also still taking the agnus castus?

Frustrating for you that ov signs aren't there yet but keep bd'ing. I know when I ov'd late the in Sept and Oct my body geared up to ov normal time. Plenty of EWCM etcc no lh surge on the opks. Then my CM went sticky as if I had ov'd and out of the blue got a + on the opks. Your body can play tricks some times.

We've got Mario Olympics and Mario Galaxy, they're fab. So yes, hoping to have lots of time to play on it over xmas. We bought it a few months back but don't seem to have much time to play on it. Our LO loves watching Mario. Of course we don't encourage him to play computer games at his age but the bright colours etc are really attracting his attention. Wii Sports is good fun too. We've got 2 controllers so I think me and my DH need to have a go at the olympics against each other, especially after a couple of vinos. It should be fun :rotfl:

 Normal and sane Rom this mornning :rotfl: DH was home last night albeit not until 1.00 am so I am feeling much better - had a good cry again and he sets me off on the right road!!! Much closer to tuesday too so this wait to know whats going on is hopefully a day nearer.

Anyway just had a good old stalk and I think there is only a couple of us that have anything exciting going on :-

Babydust - where did that temp drop come from????? 7 DPO so I am keeping my fingers crossed for you - could be a classic implantation dip! :D If it is you should have your answer before christmas - how exciting

Kitty - looks like your temp is dropping ready to ovulate - just in time before your visitors arrive  great timing lady.

Chrissy - gosh not sure how I have missed the fact your temps are looking so good this month - well above the coverline at 13 dpo - wonder what they will do today? they are going the right way and you will get that BFP we all dream of.

Sookie - not sure why your temp dropped so low - does aircon make that much difference? Anyway I hope it does and it goes back up again today - if not then at least you will get the chance to relax a bit over the next few days and still be on hols when you next ovulate.

To everyone else - at least if your AF has just arrived you can relax a bit and enjoy a few drinkies over the christmas period without feeling guilty and I am sure I have seen a statistic somewhere that says more babies are conceived at Christmas than at any other time of the year!!

Love to all - I'm having the rest of our carpets fitted this morning then hopefully picking up my car - its been stuck at my brothers since I went into hospital!!!
:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
