Chart Stalkers

it's all over now. Just started spotting. I was quite surprised - this will be the shortest cycle of my life. It's CD30 today, my previous (joint) shortest cycle was last month, 33 days.

Worst of all, I still feel really nauseous and dizzy, so I'm guessing I have picked up some stomach bug or ear infection after all. Totally gutted - AF and ill! I'd planned to have a drink when AF arrived, but I feel so sick I can't even bear the thought of wine!

Good luck to all you who are charting.

I stopped charting/temping, but I feel your pain!
I should've been keeping up with it, bc my cycle's starting to stretch out and now I have no idea what's going on :(

Just wanted to pop in and say good luck!!! Hope it's a BFP for all of you!!!

Hi Ladies,

I have just spent some time reading through your past posts and would like some advice.

I started charting this month (half way through as I couldn't get a BBT thermometer where I live in Colombia and had to wait for a trip to the States) but have had tremendous trouble with wake up times.

As I was travelling when I started temping I was sleeping in and was also new to the whole thing and not very knowledgeable. Also I made some mistakes early on - jumping up to get the thermometer or go to the loo before temping.

Plus travelling... was expecting ovulation based on past cycle counting and got a dip and a confused OPK - was almost the same colour as the control line. Did lots of BD as thought was prob O.

Got home to Colombia - major change in temperature here - tropical climate. In the States I was FREEZING, so this could also have messed things up a bit. A week after being back at work I saw a good blob of EWCM (sorry if TMI) so bd. Next day got a +OPK so bd again and then the following day.

I get up at 5.30 for work but this week since O have been waking almost exactly every night at 3.30am. Could this just be stress about wanting to conceive? Normally I sleep soundly right through the night - always at least 7 to 8 hours.

Any suggestions on what I should do with my temping given my erratic wake up times? Do you agree that it at least looks like I ovulated?

I am 11DPO and got a BFN today

Am going crazy waiting for AF. My cycle is long - usually about 38 - 40 days. This month it will be 49.

Sorry to come into your forum and go and on. I am also ashamed about my pathetic charting skills

Hi Sookie, so glad you have joined us :D we need some new 'chart-stalkers' as we have had quite a few BFP's recently.

I agree your chart looks a little eratic (because of travelling etc) and I think you have done really well in a difficult situation. I think you have definatley ovulated and I think you have got the BD'ing covered :rotfl: With your long cycles I would carry on testing until AF arrives (or hopefully not  ) Good luck to you

Hi Flick,

Thanks for taking a look. I am already feeling a lot more relaxed about the situation than I was a few days ago. I am expecting a BFN but am now looking forward to next cycle.

I am definitely gonna stick around so thanks for the welcome and baby dust to you all :D

ROM - look at those temps!!! Wow, looking really good. Best of luck for this month.

Kitty - I am so sorry if it is AF but at least you have managed a full- charting month so you can take consolation from that (and I am sure your DH will not mind another month  )

Ok girls, I'll put you out of your misery ....... tested today and ....... ?

Used CB this morning and got a very faint + (well, I think so) so I decided to nip out to tescos to get some more tests, and as I had saved my FMU and .... well, I got to lines but trouble is the line was horizontal   :? (not the one in the control box)

Welcome Sookie

ROM - def looking good, now I'm out I'll be stalking you extra hard!

Flick - there seem to be a lot of dodgy tests about - I tried an ASDA this morning, and got exactly the same result as you, a horizontal in the test box and a vertical in the control. It fits pics of evaps in the 2ww photo gallery. I just can't quite believe I managed 2 evaps in 3 days! However, if you got a faint + on CB, that's a quality test, and a 'proper' result. Doesn't matter how faint it is, it sounds like congratulations are in order! :cheer: (I'm being restrained because of your 'I think so'!) Can you test again tomorrow? I'll hold in my cheers and dancing smilies till then!!! Really hope you get a darker line tomorrow, and that you manage to get some sleep tonight - sounds like great news to me. btw - if you can get to Boots, they have an offer on First Response at the moment - one single test free with any FR purchase. The twin pack is only a couple of quid more than the single pack, so you can get 3 FRERs for under a tenner at the moment.

Oh, and DH didn't seem to be disappointed at all! What's really odd is that I hadn't ever 'spotted' before TTC - I'd never even heard of it - and I had it before AF for the first time last month, and then today. Literally three spots. Last month I had three to five spots every day for three days before AF started properly so I guess I'm in for something similar this time. I'm beginning to wonder if it's all psychological! I'm also quite pleased that my cycles are getting shorter - means less time to wait till trying again. Now if I can do a ROM and ov on CD8 or something, I'll be really happy! :D

well, we've guests here, so I'd better go now, will check in tomorrow morning and see how you're all getting on - and  ing for Flick!

Kitty you make me smile :D I still cant believe that I ov'd that early..... Anyway so much for great temps - look at my drop this morning!! Its too early for implantation too I think - this usually happens between 7 and 10 dpo - so now I am wondering whether I did ov on cd 11!!!! Anyway only time will tell - up early as yesterday I thought I was starting with a water infection - I had the most awful pains in my lower back and tummy and ended up sleeping most of the day. So far so good today, woke up early but pain seems to have gone. :D

Flick that is so exciting - Tesco tests are usually really good - cant wait to see what happens today.......

Welcome Sookie - believe me it doesnt take long to get into this charting stuff - becomes almost obsessive at times......

That drop's really weird. FF hasn't taken away your crosshairs though, and the temp's still above the coverline. I'm coming to the conclusion that speculation is pointless - I saw one chart on FF yesterday that had a very obvious dip at 3 dpo, and +HPTs from 5 dpo onwards. On 2ww, there are a number of women who've had BFPs at 6 dpo. Obviously implantation is possible before 7-10dpo, if rare. What really gets me about your chart is that the high temp is definitely not an anomaly, because of the temps leading up to it.

FLICK - WILL YOU PLEASE WAKE UP AND TEST AGAIN! I'm getting impatient! I'd test for you, but I don't think you want my results!

To be honest I think my body is all messed up due to the early loss I had last cycle - we will see what my temp does tomorrow  Did poa opk this morning incase I was actually ovulating now but that was - slight coloured line but about the same as I would normally get a couple of days after OV (I'm a fade in fade out kind of person). TMI my cervix is still really high and firm and I have tons of cwm so I am pretty sure I am post ovulation.......

Now down to the important stuff - FLICK - where are you???????? I keep on checking your chart and you are obviously still in bed you lazy mare :rotfl:

ROM - do you get the impression Flick's avoiding us?! :rotfl:

temps def looking good Flick - do let us know, we're probably in more suspense than you now!
Hope all's well...

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the friendly welcomes ladies. I already feel part of the 'chartstalkers' posse.

Flick - that's so exciting! I really hope for you that it is a BFP

Kitty, I have read your posts and story and I am really sorry for your BFN. Best luck for next cycle.

ROM - I'd like a bit of early o thanks! Mine was day 34 this cycle. Arrgh.

I don't think it's looking good for me. My temperature has been dropping steadily. I tried to give myself hope yesterday by thinking maybe it was a late implantation dip. But seems unlikey. What do you think?

ooooooh Fliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccccckkkkkkkkkk, where aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuuuu?

Thanks Sookie. I wasn't expecting much from the first cycle charting, but then I did start getting a bit excited with the high temp yesterday morning. So I was more disappointed than I thought I would be by yesterday afternoon's spotting :( Oh well, I'm over that now - but just wanting AF to start properly so that I can open a bottle of wine!!!

I had a look at your chart again (after your other post) but I really couldn't guess what might happen. I agree it's not looking too great with the lower temps, but anything could yet happen. Not over till the witch sings, or at least whispers! !

well, fingers crossed for everyone for tomorrow...

Kitty if AF hasn't started properly yet then maybe it's IB or even early pregnancy bleeding. I read 25% of women bleed.

A good friend of mine told me she bleed for 3 days thinking it was AF then it stopped (usually she is 6-7 days long). She was preggers. Her little girl is one of my favourite people!

I'm still holding out hope for you.

I started bleeding today  But it is also a bit strange. Started then stopped, then started again. And now my chest is all blue/veiny and my areolas are getting bigger. No tenderness though.

Probably just something that happens with AF that I have never noticed before.

Anyway, will wait and see how the next few days go.

All over for me. AF is pretty much here now.

Oh well - get to have a few drinks when some friends come over for a round of trivial pursuit.

What's happening Flick?

Sorry Sookie

Know what you mean about the upside though. I was planning to have a glass of wine last night with dinner, but DH said I wasn't allowed one until AF started properly. B*****d!

ROM - wow! what's going on?! whatever it is, it looks promising!

Flick, hope everything's ok with you

Well, my temp's gone down again today, as expected. Wondering if AF will deign to show properly today, or if she's going to hang on until tomorrow. I did two HPTs this morning - a FRER and an i/c. Big Fat Negatives, both of them. FF thinks AF is due today (based on last month's luteal phase length), I would have guessed Wednesday (based on overall cycle length), though the spotting on Saturday would suggest FF is right. Either way it's not too early to test with the FRER, and the i/c is 10mi. Getting fed up now :x Sookie, thanks for trying to give me hope, but the temps and the BFNs aren't looking good! I searched for charts like mine in the FF chart gallery and they were all ovulatory or miscarriage...

Ok Flick - no im getting a little impatient with you (please blame it on the hormones!) Will you be joining me soon in first tri or not!?

Hope you are ok.

Good luck to the rest of you ladies testing this week and welcome Sookie to the group. How you have a short and pleasant stay x x x

Kitty and Sookie - I'm so sorry AF turned up - somehow it seems worse I think when you chart as you can see all the rises and falls in your temps - its hard not to build up your hopes - enjoy your wine tonight :D The good news with ttc I find is that as you drink so little it only takes one glass to make me feel tiddled!! Hey I'm just a cheap date!!

Flick I really hope your silence is because you dont want to tempt fate??? I am keeping everything crossed here in shropshire for you - you were so lovely last month with me a BFP couldnt happen to a nicer person

Well goodness only knows whats going on with me  That huge dip and then a rise today - I think to be an implantation dip you have to go back up to the same or higher temp so its not that - maybe a fallback dip but I'm not sure what that means I've just seen some people on FF talking about it. Anyway I'm having my blood test tomorrow - pretty sure I did ov on cd 11 so I will be 7 dpo. The good news is the awful backache and pains in my legs seem to have eased just a twinge now on my right side just above my hip bone....... Putting it down to too much bedding so a mild water infection.
