Trudy - looks to me like you're in the 1ww now?! Looking good... for a BFP for you...

oooo i'd not even realised. Doesn't time fly when you're having fun!? I'm spending so much time wondering why my temps aren't higher I've not look at the days. No symptoms so don't think it's worked but on the plus side I used an OV stick successfully. Will def use again next month.

ROM just admit you're POAS addict like the rest of us!

ROM :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am getting to play with my ov sticks at the moment and it makes me happy.

 hope you dont mind me posting here, i am going out my mind with worry, i think i might have shingles on saturday i had very itchy skin on my belly but thought it was just the skin streatching due to my bloat, but today when i got out the bath this appeard, its very red and hot, in the red areas there are about 12 tiny blisters. i have posted a pic of the rash to see what you all think, i have never seen anyone with shingles before but i went to to chemist to try and get some cream and she said it looked like shingles to see my dr asap, i called my dr but cant be seen until until 5pm.

thought i would take this horrible pic away :puke:

oh gosh babydust I don't know but  it must feel awful  hope the doctor can give you good news, will be thinking ofyou at 5

Babydust,
I havent had shingles but my oh has and it does look very similar to me....

The blisters are a bit of a sign Im afraid (although it could just be an allergic reaction to something)

You have done the right thing by getting in touch with the Dr already.

One thing I would say is try not to touch the blistered bits - as if it is shingles they are the dodgy bits - and if you keep touching them and other parts of your body it could spread. Its not contagious to others as long as they have had chicken pox (as far as i can remember).

I hope it isnt shingles as from what I recall with my o/h it was pretty painful - but at least you mgiht have caught it early xx

Congratulations, Loola! You appear to be in the 2ww!

Oh my gosh! So I am! How on earth did that happen? :rotfl:

Ill only keep it manually overrided until I have some more temps I promise!! Otherwise looking at it normally makes me irritable. :rotfl:

ROM - keep POAS!! Hopefully that faint line will become stronger over the next few days. I pee on way more OPK's than HPT's. Im obviously more obsessed with ovulating than I am pregnancy.

Kitty - Temps looking good! SO hope they stay up, in fact get higher!

Sookie - Hope your temps stay up too and hope the 2WW goes quickly for you with a BFP at the end. :cheer:

CB23 - Glad your smear was useful, I read about having a tilted pelvis somewhere else and that it could have been the cause of not conceiving if sex was in the wrong position. That has to be good news for you as now you will have alot more chance! :cheer:

Scones - I got my thermometer from Babymad - but their ebay store I think. Its a babymad thermometer anyway. It has worked well for me and cost about £4 I think.

Chrissy - Good luck for tonight  Im sure you will be fine and whatever happens its the first step to sorting out any problems or putting your mind at rest so that has to be a good thing. Good luck!

Kmac - Sorry AF got you

Babydust - I dont know what the rash is but  bless you that looks sore! Are you feeling ok? Hope it gets sorted out for you quickly hun.

Hi  to everyone else. Hope everyone is well and happy :D

Claire dont panic.... I am sure its not but incase it is read below.....

Shingles is caused by the herpes zoster virus, and it appears as a painful rash of tiny blisters, usually on the arms, legs or body. You can't 'catch' shingles from anyone else -- it appears in people who have had chicken pox. The virus tends to lay dormant for a number of years, but then can reactivate and manifest itself as the painful shingles rash.

Whilst there is a close connection between shingles and chicken pox, there is no evidence to suggest that shingles in pregnancy will lead to any problems with your baby. This is probably because you have immunity to the virus, and this immunity is passed on to your baby. This is not the case with chicken pox, as a small percentage of babies whose mothers catch chicken pox when they are pregnant have birth defects.

Although you cannot give anybody shingles, it is possible to pass the virus on as chicken pox. For this reason, you should avoid other pregnant women if you are suffering from shingles, waiting until the lesions on your skin have healed up before you make contact.

Your doctor will be able to discuss which treatment can help to relieve your symptoms with you. You may find that the treatment you are considering is not licensed for use during pregnancy, so you may want to talk this through, and think about whether the benefits outweigh any possible risks.

It looks like you are doing all the right things - going to see the doctor is the best thing to do - in the meantime maybe using a cold compress on the spots will take the itch out.

     let us know how you get on x x x

ow! Babydust, you poor thing!   what bad luck. Really hope you get better soon.

Trudyscrumptious, I cannot believe you made it a week through the 2ww without noticing! You're so letting the side down, you should have spotted loads of symptoms by now! :rotfl: Maybe that's 'pregnancy brain' already?!

ROM - POASing already?! outrageous!

Well, thanks Loola for hoping my temps go higher, but this is as high as they've ever been so I think it's downhill from here...

Hi,

Loola - FF took a few days to get my ov pin pointed. I used the manual override but kept flicking back to the FF detection and after 3 or 4 days it detected it to the day I thought I'd ov'd on. I bet tomorrow FF will detect it for you.

Babydust - So sorry to hear that you've got Shingles. Poor you.

There's so many of you in the 2WW, really hope we see some more BFPS next week.

Chrissy - Hope things went OK at the docs and that they were helpful.

Sorry to anybody whose AF has arrived or looks to be arriving :(

back from the hospital and everything should be fine for the baby, but as for me i feel terrible, i cant take anything for it as well as my shingles killing me my (.)(.) are killing me, but im still so happy and releived. Im going to bed now as no doubt the girls will be up in the morning with chicken pox
I will stalk tomorrow ive kind of lost track of it

Glad to hear all is OK Babydust - better to be safe than sorry - look after yourself

Very relieved to hear its all OK babydust    I hope they clear up quickly and stop hurting.

Been thinking about Chrissy - I hope she got on OK at docs.

Chrissy - How did you go at the docs?

Babydust - get well soon.

Kitty - I have been secretly symptom spotting I've had the wierd cramps I had last time, but it's prob more to do with the fact that I'm doing sit ups again!!
:rotfl:

Morning all....sorry to keep you waiting.

Well we had our appointment at the docs last night and it was really good. I took my charts with me and he was really impressed with my knowledge about TTC and fertily etc... even though I did mention that we BD'd at the right time ever month and I had to explain what BDing was :rotfl:

I told him that we'd both done home tests and both were fine so he said that if my Ov is fine and DH spermies are fine there's a problem with them meeting up in the middle which could be a problem with my tubes or if I have antibodies that could kill DH spermies if they are not perfect. The other problem could if DH doesn't have a high enough morphology count. The home test we did only tests for count and motility.

He says that although my charts look really good and show clear OV that they still need to send me for the official tests before they can refer us to a fertility clinic, apparently they can't just take my word that the home tests were all clear!!!

I've got to have two blood tests. One at CD 3 - 5 and the other at CD 21 to show an increase in progesterone which will confirm I've OV'd. He's also reffered DH for a proper sperm test and we should be getting a call from the doc today to let us know when they've made the appointment for us (I mean DH) and where we'll have to go for it.

He did suggest taking Clomid but then said that it's probably better to wait until we know what, if anything is wrong before we take any sort of medication.

Only annoying thing is that I've got have my first blood test on CD 3 - 5 and yesterday was CD 6 :x Why didn't I ring up last week!!!!!

 Hope everyone is ok

Great news Chrissy - can you have your CD21 test still? I know I did, that is the one that really shows them you have ovulated they like to see a figure of above 30 if I remember rightly..... The CD3 is usually the full blood count for FSH, LH and progesterone (and some other stuff I cant remember now). I was to do that on the CD3 after my CD21 test.

Anyway at least you are starting to get things moving...... cant remember if you have used pre-seed? That seems to be something that is helping lots of people - am considering trying it myself as although I get ewcm its not always that much..... It is supposed to give the little swimmers the ideal environment.

But all in all its sounds like excellent news that your doctor is taking you seriously :D

Chrissy - so glad your appointment went well :) It must be such a relief to know that things are on their way to getting sorted. Good luck with your test results. You know the sperm tests, do the Docs do 2 tests and do you have to abstain from sex or at least ejaculating in between tests? If so Im going to have trouble getting my OH to do a reliable test! :rotfl:

We are definitely going to go to the Docs in a few months if we dont get our BFP. May will be 12 months of TTC for us, so I will have some more charts to show the Doc by then too.

My temp has risen quite a bit today :) But OV still not showing from FF, I have kept my chart overridden for now, hopefully if it stays high tomorrow FF will show ovulation.

How is everyone? I was having a bad day yesterday, very emotional, irritable and teary about the whole TTC thing. Feeling alot better today now that Ive had a high temp and also because Ive lost 6lbs in just over 2 weeks without really trying that hard! Just been walking and eating healthily :) Im sure my scales are lying mind you!
