Chart Stalkers January 2008

Thanks for the hugs bagpus. I have been feeling a bit disheartened.

It's too early for AF for you. Hopefully they are preg symptoms. Your chart is looking good.    for a BFP for you.

You're welcome :)

Have you ever been to your docs about your long cycles? Sorry if you have mentioned previously.

 hi sookie good to have you back
bagpuss and loola i pm'd u
 welcome lynsey

p.s i did a digital today and it came up straight away :cheer: so im finished poas

So happy for you claire. Implantation must have been at a perfect time to get such strong +s so quickly. I read that that's a great sign for a sticky pregnancy. Yay! :)

Bagpus - I am seeing a gyno here. He hasn't done tests yet but wants me in on the first day of my next AF. I have a feeling he is going to prescribe clomid. I am not sure how I feel about that. But I am really sick of these cycles. I am thinking now that ovulation last cycle might have been later than I thought and that my LP was actually still only 11 days. I don't know.

I do know that it would be really nice to get to cycle day 15 and expect ov. Even cd20! Now its cd32... But you would know all about this too!

Pm'd you Claire, thanks :D

Fab news that the digital test has confirmed your BFP too. Must be a wonderful feeling.

Sookie - I know what you mean. What I'd give to have a regular average 28 day cycle. I think I'd be inclined to give Clomid a try. I've read there can be some horrible side affects but not everybody is affected in the same way and it may do the trick for you.

Keep us posted with how things go.

Hey Bagpuss
I did an OPK - still negative although I think it is a little darker than yesterday. I stare at it so long I don't know if I imagine it getting darker. Poor husband has had a peed on stick waved in his face twice now to see what he thinks. Hope it keeps getting darker. I keep convincing myself I'm not going to ovulate. BDing every day just in case anyway. Have to say today is the first time I have thought how unromantic ttc is. I wasn't in the mood at all! I was thinking about other things entirely. :(
Thanks for asking!

Sookie - a friend of mine was ttc for 2 years, then had a miscarriage, then she was put on Clomid - worked very well for her and she now has a baby girl.

Hi Bagpuss, thanks for your reply on the last page :D
I came on on 1st Jan so Im on cycle day 13 right now, I have been having cycles of 26 days for the last 3 months. Did another opk today, faint line again so im not sure whether Ive missed the surge or not????

I dont mean to sound like Im not interested in everyones stories cos I really am, but you are such experts I dont want to embarrass myself by commenting on your charts etc

Yes, on my last visit the gyno said clomid could help me and I think I am ready to try it. I have been researching online and it seems that it is often prescribed for irregular ovulation like mine. With meds like that the side effects we hear about are often at the extreme end of the spectrum. People post when they have negative experiences. So if it is what he suggests then I think I will try it for a month. Thanks for your comments Bagpus and Kmac.

Scones - you have been quiet for ages!!! Don't feel nervous about posting on here. Most of us aren't expert at all!

Scones - I only just started charting this month. I don't comment on peoples charts yet either, just because I don't really know what to look for! I am interested too, but don't want to sound like a tit! I guess it just takes a bit of time to understand it all!

LOL, kmac.

Scones, NEVER be embarrassed about anything here. Feel free to put your two peneth in :)

Scones - lucky you having 26 day cycles. Keep BD'ing just in case. Have you got much egg white cm or creamy CM? Rule of thumb is whenever you feel wet down there, BD!

Kmac, perhaps go for it every other day. I did that this cycle until I got a positive and then we bd on consecutive days. Every other day is hard enough, every day would be pushing it. If you have fertile CM, defo do it on those days.

Sookie - I think you're right. People are quick to post negative things but you never hear many positive stories about these things. It would defo be worth giving it a go. If it turns out its not right for you at least you know you've given it a shot.

Good morning everyone.

I added Lynsey's chart link and Claire's BFP to the front page yesterday - think that's now up-to-date?

Scones, are you able to add your chart link to your signature? Then we can stalk by clicking on your posts, rather than going back to page 1  If you think you're due to ov around now, it's worth doing 2 or even 3 OPKs a day - say 11am, 3pm and 8pm. If you have a look at the site http://www.peeonastick.com and go to 'my OPK odyssey' it's got some good photos showing just how short the surge can be. My obvious +OPK at 8pm on Saturday was a -OPK, with a faint line (3/10?), by 8am Sunday and by 2pm Sunday the line was very faint indeed (1/10!). Of course, I have no idea when the surge started  :x Probably whilst my period was still here! if you see a sustained rise in temps, that's the only sign that can confirm ov has been and gone...

I don't think any of us on here are experts, but maybe some of us are slightly more obsessive than others :rotfl:

Sookie, so what's up with the microscope then? From your chart, it looks like you're gearing up to ov, then it doesn't happen, then you're gearing up again - is that what you think too? And do the OPKs concur - i.e. does the second line get stronger then fainter again, then stronger? What a complete pain. I can certainly sympathise with the irregularity and not knowing

Well, my temps have risen, so it looks like it may have been the big O after all. Unfortunately last week I had high temps because of the cold, and as it's still so early in the cycle, it looks like there aren't enough low temps for FF to detect ovulation... we'll see! But I think we may :bd: every other night now, until I can see one way or the other whether I ov'ed or whether it was a false alarm. OPKs are def negative again.[/url]

Good morning

Sookie I'm really interested how you get on with the ferning - have thought about trying it myself but apparently coffee can effect it - and I do love my morning coffee even if its decaf!!

Chrissy you have willpower of steel - if my chart looked like yours I would be peeing on every stick I could find..... :D

Welcome to all the new ladies - please dont feel that any of us are experts, as Kitty said some of us have just been here a long time and spend too much time on the internet!!! :rotfl: Anyones opinions and suggestions are very welcome.

Kitty it definately looks like you may have Ov'd - how strange perhaps its a really strong one this month..... :D You've got me peeing on OPK's now and I'm only on CD2!!! Purely experimental of course..... :D Absolutely - this morning not even a faint line - I did just come back from having my bloods done though, it was only for hcg but I did think about adding LH, FSH and progesterone to the form too just to see!! Do you think my consultant would have noticed  I have now decided to obsess about progesterone as obviously last time it was tested I was actually pregnant and it was only 18.7 - to think I was worried at the time that I hadnt ovulated......!!! OK need to rein myself in and wait - but then I was never very good at being paitent.....

Morning all

sorry can't stop around for long enough to read through all the posts because I'm so ruddy busy at work today I've actually got to do some work!!! :(

My temps has dropped a bit today, only back down to normal post OV temps so looks like it was just a fluke.

Saying that my bbs are really hurting today. Every time I so much as touch them, even putting my shirt on this morning was hurting, it feels like there is an electric shock inside them, needless to say it's not much fun!!

  hope everyone is ok and welcome to Lynsey.

hopefully I'll get chance to catch up on everything later

Morning all

Kitty so glad you did that OPK and spotted your ovulation, can't believe its so early for you but at least you caught. Everything crossed for you.

Chrissy its still looking good!

Sookie sounds like trying clomid is a good idea.

Scones I'm not an expert at all I've only been doing this for 3 months!

KMAC how you doing today? Hopefully you get a +ve OPK today.

ROM you should have added the extra tests   the doc would never have known it was you that did it!

Bagpuss what is your temp up to today?

I'm feeling a bit down about the whole ttc thing at the moment. I know it has only been a few months but I just keep wondering what we're doing wrong.

Chrissy - its still looking good hun!! Hope those sore bbs are a good sign too

CB23 - Keep thinking positive lady  which is rich coming from me as I have been the most negative thinking person ever over the weekend. (See my 'meh, maybe this is why Im not getting pregnant' thread for details).

I am feeling more positive now - dont think I have a chance of getting pregnant this month mind you but we will still try and at least I have a practice charting. I was just very excited to find copious amounts of CM a little while ago. Think all this water drinking has done the trick. I wouldnt say it was EW as its not very stretchy, but it is clear and wet so I think ovulation is on its way. We havent BD'd at all this cycle yet as OH has been ill and miserable. Hopefully he will be more up for it over the next few days. :?

Who is waiting to test then? Chrissy you are so strong not testing!!

Hello everyone else  Im still getting to grips with understanding charting, so If I dont comment its because Im still learning, Im not ignoring you! :o

hi everyone
rom you should try natural progesterone cream i have been using it for the past couple of cycles as i dr woldnt test my levels, but as far as i can see it doesnt do any harm as long as you use it after u ovulate

i agree with the others chrissy your chart still looks good i think because your temp shot way up it looks like more of a drop today but todays temp in itself is still a good temp.

kitty you have really ov'd really early hope this is a good sign :)

sookie could you not end up with multiple pregnancies on clomid :D a previous chart stalker a while ago used clomid she did get a bfp but unfortunatly m/c you could post to see if anyone has had experience of it and what the effects were.

 to everyone else

i feel a bit weird, i am inbetween places just now i dont feel like i belong anywere :? hope you all dont mind me staying here

Hi all,

It's my birthday today! Just had lots of friends around with their LO's, I'm shattered now. I need to lie down whilst LO is napping.

Chrissy - your temp is still well above the coverline so things are still looking good for you.

I'm sure I've seen some little blobs of brown discharge. I'm fully expecting to start spotting tomorrow. If I do then I'm going to give the natural progesterone cream a whirl next cycle.

Kitty - Yeah, it certainly does look like you've ov'd. A nice short cycle for you this month by the looks of it.

I bought the fertility tests that Chrissy bought. I did the fsh test, it was negative :) DH hasn't done his yet. He's quite prepared to he said if we don't get pg this month but I won't push him on it to be truthful.

Claire, you're always welcome here :D

I got a nintendo DS, as if it's not bad that I'm now a year older. My brain age is in the 80s!!!! :x
