Chart Stalkers April 2008

Claire  no whats the betting that is exactly what will happen!! I think its called sods law!!

Well I am beginning to panic now over the cost of seeing the fertility specialist - rang the clinic and they said it would depend on what tests etc they made us have - I explained that we had had a series of blood tests done already by our GP but the nurse said that they liked to do their own!! She also said if we were to be put on chlomid the likelihood is that they will want to scan to check for ovulation..... I am excited that we may get my body sorted but also a little apprehensive that it might cost an absolute arm and a leg...... Having just had to shell out £560 to get Josh's car through it's MOT this month it seems that we are having to find very deep pockets.... :D

Hope everyone else is OK

Good luck hun  I hope you are able to do this.

I knew someone who had children at a young age, got to 40 and really wanted another child, she had to pay to get things moving and to pay for it she became a Doula.
Which is something I would love to do too, it does cost initialy, but she earnt quite a lot and was able to pay for fertility treament and concieved.

oh rom it would be really worth it, but i think its terrible that they expect you to pay for tests which you have already had done :x
tasha whats a Doula

Doula" (pronounced "doola") is a Greek word meaning "woman servant or caregiver". It now refers to an experienced woman who offers emotional and practical support to a woman (or couple) before, during and after childbirth. A doula believes in “mothering the mother” - enabling a woman to have the most satisfying and empowered time that she can during pregnancy, birth and the early days as a new mum. This type of support also helps the whole family to relax and enjoy the experience.

Birth doulas are trained and experienced in childbirth, although they may or may not have given birth themselves. They have a good knowledge and awareness of female physiology BUT the doula is not supporting the mother in a clinical role - that is the job of the midwife/medical staff.

Hey all

ff has given me dotted lines as my temp was a bit higher this morning
Don't see how I could possibly have ov'd without knowing as I was peeing on a ridiculous number of sticks
I suppose I'll just have to wait and see what my temps do.
but all my cm has dried up and my line has just about disappeared :(
Maybe i have.... maybe I haven't.....

Our shed got broken into last night. I only noticed when I went outside and saw the drill in the flowerbed. Now I am waiting on the police coming round. Not that there is any point! I don't think anything is missing, although DH will have to check when he gets in as all his tools and stuff are in there - I have no idea if anything is gone or not  but in general we don't keep anything worth nicking in there! It could be worse!

Am really confused by this whole ov thing now.... what do you girls think?

Looking back though this cycle is looking very similar to 2 cycles ago - a temp dip then only slightly higher, then falling again until ov on day 25.
Maybe I'm having the same again?

I see what you mean about it looking similar to the other chart, I would keep tracking cm and your cervix and see if this happens again and you ov later.

Hey gals

just a quickie..

FF says I have ovd but I am sceptical because it told me that I ovd earlier this month and then changed its mind! I did have quite good OPK results (although still just slightly lighter than the control line) which i put down as +. If I had ovd, wouldnt my temp jump be bigger than it has been though? Any thoughts?

No idea sally - sorry - I'm in a similar situation but I never had a good opk!

Tasha - I don't use my cervix as a sign - I wouldn't have a clue what to look for. And if the nurse couldn't get to it yesterday what hope have I got? Also the thought of it makes me feel a bit :puke: and I would get obsessive about it. I spend long enough in the bathroom as it is waiting for lines and almost doing myself an injury looking for mucus!!

Hiya,

Just been away after a few days of working away. I managed to take my trusty thermometer with me and take my morning temps. My chart is looking goodand its shows ovulation. I had a really bad bloated stomach while I was away and I think I might have an intolerance to something, but after seeing the post about post-ov features, maybe its that?

Will stalk tomorrow, off to bed now...

Babydust: That's bad they made you feel like that for asking for a smear! :x When I had my d&c they did one for me.
I hope your trip goes ok. :) WOW, a baby on Christmas day would be fab! :cheer:

Tasha: I hope you feel better soon  , you dribbler!

choklatemunky: You've been so busy!!! I hope you get your bfp!

Loola: I find I produce more saliva after ov!! So odd how the body works sometimes!!!

ROM: Sorry the clinic is so expensive but I am sure it will be worth it. Do they really have to re-do some of the tests though? That's so unfair! :x

kmac: Not sure what to say aboutt ff - if you have ov'd, I hope you caught the egg!
So sorry you got broken into! There are some right scallies around!

Sally - I am not sure either! :?

satch: It could be a post ov sign - keep an eye and see if it happens again

I have had a tooth extracted today so I'm feeling even more sorry for myself! I am not sure if I've ever mentioned it in here but I have been recovered from bulimia for over 2 years now but unfortunately the affects on my teeth are long lasting! Nevermind!

Sending lots of babydust!

Glad you are feeling better Rach - lots of luck for this next month.

Welshpolly - sorry to hear about your teeth and previous problems but congratulations on recovering from such an awful thing

FF has changed its mind (again) and think I ovd on April fools day! Does FF always change its mind this much? This is my first month charting and i think i am confusing the system!

Im not on the net for the rest of the day but will be back on tomorrow. Hope you all have a good day x

 Rach I hope af leaves for you soon.

Sally that must be so confusing, I can see why FF thinks that, I hope you get your bfp soon

Well im sure I ov'd but FF hasn't picked it up :(

Hope everyone else is ok

Tasha - if you get another high temp tomorrow you will get those crosshairs

My temp was lower again today - so my lines have gone....
WHich is right because I'm sure I didn't ov.

So now I'm back to waiting and waiting...... worried I get AF first like last cycle. not.

I'm getting tired of this. Why can't I have vaguely normal cycles????????
:(

Feeling sorry for myself now. Will look at charts later.
This is almost the end of the holidays so today I need to do everything i brought home from school which I have left to the last minute (just to clarify I am a teacher, not a pupil - I'm not a faker!). Have got monday off as well but I would like to have it out the way so I can do something nice!
