glad olivia is better tasha hun :D

wow its quiet on here today where is everyone???

heres a question for everyone who uses opks
ive noticed some people saying they dont get lines until right before ov is due is this the same for everyone reason im asking is when i used them before i always had a faint line which would get stronger leading up to ov then weaker again after ov but there was always 2 lines
well mine arrived today and just to see if i still get 2 lines i poas and yep even though its only cd5 i got 2 lines the test line is only half the strength of the control line but def got 2 lines what about everyone else what do your opks do?
xxxxxxxx

Hi all

It certainly has been quiet today! I have just been recovering - was up sick in the night - v unusual for me! No idea what caused it either. We had prawn risotto for dinner but DH was fine (slept throught the whole thing in fact) so maybe there was just one dodgy prawn and I got it!
There was no point taking my temp at 6am though as i had been awake since 2.30!

Anyhoo, in answer to your opk q rach (although I must be the worst person to give opinions on opks) i nearly always have a second line of some sort, but it varies in darkness. Last week it did get stronger so I really thought i would ov, but then it went to nothing. Haven't done one today yet.

How / Where is everyone?

hi all.

rach - I get two lines almost all of the time. The second one is pretty faint for most of the month but is definitely there.

Looks like Loola's been having fun :rotfl:

I've got the pc sorted (well, mostly!) so I'm around again. However, although I'm going to pop in from time to time, I won't be spending much time on here for at least a few weeks. It probably sounds selfish, but there doesn't seem much point in spending time on the forum when we're not TTC ourselves, I feel like I'm not really joining in with anything! So I'll just check up on you all every so often, but probably won't be doing daily posts :fib:  I couldn't be bothered to temp the last couple of days either. Again, it doesn't seem quite so critical to have a daily record - and I'm still using the CBEFM anyway.

DH is recovering well, but still a bit sore. We needed a new CD storage unit, so have just been to buy one. I suggested DH might want to wait in the car, but he followed me into the store - and then was so embarrassed when we left because obviously he's not allowed to carry anything, so he had to walk next to me looking perfectly ok and healthy, whilst I carried a 7ft long box which had - in HUGE writing - "VERY HEAVY: 23.2KG" all over the side :rotfl: He said he was so sure everyone was staring at him disapprovingly! I did point out that was why I'd thought he might prefer to stay with the car...

Ah well, hopefully one day he'll get the opportunity to repay me when I'm unable to carry anything heavy

Hope everyone's ok. I'm off to join Loola with that bottle of wine - if she's left any for me! :rotfl: We should definitely have a virtual bar thread which we could turn to when AF hits, or when we're having an enforced break from TTC! Hmm, now there's an idea...

Kitty -- we need you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Kitty we need you! Glad your DH is recovering well :D

Sookie - I am noting that you have better things to do with your 30th birthday than be on here! Hope you are having a great day x

Rach - i think i always get two lines.

Tasha - glad Olivia is feeling better

I must say that it is nice having a break from POAS and BDing at the moment! Im sure I must win some kind of prize for how many 'BDs' are on my chart this month...a prize of a baby maybe? :rotfl:

 Hi everyone.

Hope you are all well.

My chart looks really pretty, following a line, nothing like last month.

Hi everyone!

Look what I've got........................

IMG000004.jpg

It's nearly a + (the closest Ive seen in a while anyway!)
explains why I woke DH up at 2am as I was in the mood!!
Was only going to do one a day but i'll probably have to do another one later now!

It's vey quiet on here again today - hope everyone is ok
xx

Its been quiet on here today, what have you all been upto?

So for some stalking from over the weekend news

Kmac - I hope that you not on here because you're making the most of your almost positive OPK :D Good luck! I hope this is OV for you. Let us know what the stick show tomorrow, or will you be testing tonight

Tasha20 - Oooooh temps getting higher :cheer:

Sally12 - seem to have been busy... Let's hope you caught the egg

Kittykins - glad to read that your DH is on the mend.

Loola - how's the head? :D Sounds like you were going to have a good weekend. Any more wedding plans?

Rach - for the OPKS, I think you take the darkest line as the prediction that OV is coming because the darker the line the more of the luteinising hormone is detecting and this is the last hormone to be released before the egg is released.

reallyoldmum - its a bit annoying to have to have tests done you had before, but its better for the clinic to get the full picture. Good luck

Satch xxx

just noticed something, I seem to be colder than other people!

I got down to 35.4 during in Jan!

Hi Guys!!

Well thanks for the birthday wishes, especially Sally  I went to the national park near here with my DH and 3 friends. It's a beach park and really gorgeous. We stayed in a lovely cabana and lay on the beach and went hiking during the day. It was very nice. We just got back.

I need some advice ladies. I don't think you're going to know, but maybe Kitty will be able to make an educated guess based on everything else she knows about charting. So I hope you check in soon!

I am taking this hormone replacement medication to regulate my cycle. It's not a contraceptive but it's not clomid either. It's called Progyluton and consists of 11 tablets containing 2mg of estradiol valerate each to be taken from CD5 to 15, and then 10 tablets for CD16 to 26 containing 2mg of estradiol valerate plus 0.5mg of norgestrel (a synthetic progesterone).

Since I started taking the post CD15 tablets, my temp has risen thus showing Ov on my chart. BUT, is this a real rise due to Ov, or is it due to the increased progesterone and therefore unreliable? I never seem to get a +OPK, so I can't take that as a sign that I didn't Ov.

It is said to not inhibit Ov, but it does not promote it like clomid. I can't find any info online as to how to confirm ov with it.

How much progesterone do you need to produce to provide evidence that you have Oved? This is said to be a very small amount but I don't know if that is all it would take to produce a temp increase?

What do you think? Any advice would be appreciated.

Morning all

Sookie - I would love to be able to advise you on your meds but I haven't got a clue. KITTY - COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you using opks as well - that might help you to know if ov is approaching, then if your temp went up after a + you would know it wasn't just the meds?
Sorry I'm not more help.

I have done an opk this morning - it's not as strong as yesterday afternoon, but I guess it's a bit early in the day yet as it doesn't get detected in your urine until later in the day so I'm hoping for an even stronger line later. Maybe even a proper +! Bd'd anyway last night but no temp rise so will just have to keep going.
I really really really hope this is ov. The signs are good - I've had more cm than ever in the last week, and now these strong lines.......
I'll keep you posted.

Right must go and get on. Last day of holiday today, so going to have a go on my thigh trainer and do my ironing before I go and meet DH for lunch (and a sneaky look round the shops if I get into town early enough).

Will be back later.
xx

Kmac - hope this is ov!
Sookie - sorry I really dont know!

Hope everyone else is ok

 all

Rach - I don't always get a line on opks. Only for the few days around ov and I never seem to get a line quite as strong as the control either.

Kmac, hope you have recovered from your dodgy prawn. :cheer: on the pos opk.

 Kitty. Good to hear that DH is doing well. Keep checking in on us though. You never know what we'll be getting up to otherwise :rotfl:

Sally 12 - you have been a busy girl this month!! FXed for you.

Tasha - Nice chart, FXed for you too

Satch - my temps are quite low too I think. Usually between 35.5 and 36.7. (Must've had a premonition with the user name).

Sookie - sounds like you had a great birthday! Hope that's ov on your chart, certainly looks like it, though not sure about the meds

chokmunky - Hiya, how are you doing this month?.

 to everyone else

Well, I'm just about to crash and burn into the old witch again. Despite a "high" on FF. Getting a bit down about it now. Thought this would be easy ?!? One more cycle and then off to the docs I think.

Onwards and downwards (the temps anyway!)

Chill
x
