MW been to retake blood test.. Will have results in 7-10 days and if she has got hypothyroidism someone from the children's hospital will come out to us. Midwife thinks it is a possibility because Graces dads family all have thyroid problems and it *can* be hereditary. Fingers crossed for my baba x

We registered Evan last week while DH was off.

Had to go to the docs today to see the nurse about his belly button. The stump dropped off on day 6 but it's still oozing a little. Looks like his belly button has folded in on itself so it's not healing inside. It doesn't smell but the nurse took a swab just to be safe. I did feel like a hypochondriac ringing the HV this morning to ask though.

Anyone else's LO make a huge racket while they're asleep? I'm surprised he doesn't wake himself up with the loud grunting and limb flailing!

Hope all goes well CeeCee

Hope Evans belly button swab comes back okay. :)
Grace makes loads of noise in her sleep which means 0 sleep for me because I'm up watching her worrying lol xx

Libby flings herself all over whilst she's asleep. She's not that loud though.

I was worried something was wrong with J...the mewing, snorting, snuffling and grunting is enough to wake the dead lol! He sometimes does this flailing arm movement - kind of like watching someone celebrate scoring a goal lol...

DH has a bad cold at the moment, so last night I had J in one ear grunting away and DH in the other ear, snoring away...not sure who was loudest!! xx

I normally have 2 dogs and my OH snoring so Libs is easy compared to the racket they make lol!

Yeahy i got the all clear from gp regarding my wound so no more antibiotics. He wanted to know if i needed my meds starting again for my illnesses and he was surprised and shocked when i said no ill put up with the symptoms meds free while breastfeeding. I dont want to risk the meds on caden.
Caden did great today he had a bottle in bed with his daddy this morning as woke up five mins before i had to go out then he fed from me for ten mins when i got home and sat and played in his bouncer for a bit pulling on the rattle bit. Then he got weighed by health visitor and is now 8lbs 10 1/5oz then he slept from one pm all through shopping and woke up on way home at four then fed for a bit and sat n cuddled and is now sleeping. I dont know how we got so lucky with him being good.

I feel like its all gone wrong today...J has been pretty much crying non stop since about 2pm. No amount of feeding, changing, cleaning, cuddling or burping can soothe him. I am still using infacol before every feed as well.

As soon as I get him settled and go to put him in his chair, he starts screaming again - with such intensity...it's absolutely breaking my heart. He would normally have a few hours sleep in his chair in the afternoon, but he doesn't want to be put down today at all.

DH has been home from work for 2 hours and we are already at each others throats because neither of us can comfort him...feel like I am losing the plot again and am dreading another sleepless night...

Please tell me it gets easier...???

Chezza I'm so sorry you've had a rough day. I hope J settles soon :( xx

Oh hun, do you have a sling for during the day? I.find leaps and growth spurts are the worst times. It does get better....and then they hit terrible twos

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

I don't have a sling - do you think it would be worth getting one?? I keep being told that if I pick J up too much, then it will "spoil him"...I truly don't know what is best!

Is there a guide anywhere online which tells you about leaps and growth spurts...? So desperate to understand what he is going through...

Thank you xxx

I know there's an app on iPhone called wonder weeks & it tells you when leaps are xx

Please dont listen.to stupud things like that hun. Our babies are tiny and crying is their only way of communicating.
Sling is working great for me. If you can, borrow a sling from.someone to.see if it works for both of you. Xxx
