Hello, my lilttle lady is Ava grace, are you able to edit it? Just noticed lol.
How's everyone this morning?? Feeling really tired this morning, have had a busy week this week meeting friends ect. It's finally caught up with me. Am living off coffee at the moment :-/. Ava woke up At 11pm 2.30pm and 6.30pm. She is back to only having 4oz?? Think she must of had a growth spurt?? My app says its good to put them on their tummy for a lilttle while each day as helps strengthen their neck muscles, ad lift their head, has any one else been doing it?? Do lo like it?? X

Updated Pandabear...sorry!

Had an awful grizzly day with J yesterday, but slept well last night. Am wondering if he is going through day & night readjustments as he was totally nocturnal to begin with.

I've started to put J on his tummy...he isn't overly keen with it at the moment lol!

Hoping for a better day today - have a good Friday ladies xxx

Hello!

I had my little boy Rhys on the 28th April 2013 weighing 7lbs 11oz! Can't believe he is 3 weeks already! OH goes back to work on Monday and I am DREADING it...please tell me it's not as bad as you think?? I think I had a bit of the baby blues to begin but feel myself getting better & more confident as the weeks go on! He is piling the weight on which is good wee grubber! I'm so glad other people have noisy babies I can't believe the noise Rhys makes in his sleep he is SO loud! And like the rest of you I then spend all night watching him worrying about the wee
Monkey! Most people say to me "oh do you spend all night getting up to check on him and make sure he's ok" and I have to laugh no I can hear him loud & clearly all night lol! Some of the noises are adorable though!

Morning ladies, had another great morning with caden he slept from 3am till 9 am then fed for an hour then we cuddled and played for an hour then he zonked out. Cant believe he is a month old today, where has the time gone. We tried a colic thing on him last night and it helped his tummy and he didnt grunt all night. Cant use the infacol as im allergic to orange and thats the only flavour it is in so we r using dentinox which smells minty. I even managex to get two loads of washing done so far, i feel like im on a roll lol.

Welcome Jmc89! You have been added :-)

My DH went back on Weds this week and I wont lie, it hasn't been easy...I have been trying to get up really early to have a shower / get bottles ready etc, before he goes...but it hasn't always worked out - it's hard when you are doing both night feeds / settling...the last thing I want to do is get up at 6.30am!

J is a very noisy sleeper...sounds like a little piggy with sinus problems half the time! Like you, I don't need to get up to check on him...I can always hear him!

xx

We dont have many May mummies yet though, they are probably recovering/waiting to drop.
Mark is definitely having a growth spurt, day 2 of feeding lots.
Osteopathy helped though, he is much more relaxed.
Any of the babies losing hair? My lil man.is going bald on top.

Congratulations everyone. Can I join the thread please :)

Harry Brian 14/5/13 at 2:11 am weighing 8lb3oz.

Harry was 10 days early so I would hate to imagine how big he would have been at 40 weeks. I had to be cut too as I really struggled to push him out. X

Been to the doctors and turns out he thinks I have asthma! So, I've got tablets to see if they help my chest. Apparently after birth it's possible all your 'sensitivity' comes out like skin rashes, asthma and hay fever. My chest has a rash on that's infected so I've for steroid cream too. Xx

Hi can i join Rian Stuart was born on 14th May @ 6.55pm weighing 6lbs 6oz. I went in on the 11th to be induced which failed so had a c-section xx

Evan still seems to have all his hair, it's really long at the back though so looks a little dodgy bless him!

Seem to be in a "routine" with the night feeds; 2ish then 6ish. He is refusing to sleep in the day though. Everytime he seems sleepy I try to put him down in the carrycot but he only seems to last about 30 mins before he's awake and crying again. Any tips to help them sleep? Tried closing the curtains, talking quietly, I have an app with baby soothing sounds, changing him etc. I can tell a lot of the crying is just overtired but he is not helping himself.

DH is out for most of tonight playing a gig so fortunately have my mum on hand to give me a rest this evening if I need it.

Hello mummies,

It's good to be back and read how you're all doing! It's so reassuring to hear I'm not the only one going through some of troubles with a newborn. Chezza, can you add Ada Kate to your list please? Born April 25th, 8lb 4oz.

Can't believe my baby girl is over 3 weeks already. Can't say it's been an easy time though. Think I had been as prepared as you can be for the sleep deprivation, but I was completely overwhelmed with the emotional side of things. Every time she sobbed it broke my heart. Also cried at the slightest mention of DH going back to work. However, I think it's been 2 days since I last shed a tear, so progress indeed! Have also been flying solo now for over a week and am managing.

Ada is another colic/wind sufferer. We've been on the Infacol for some time now. It works to a degree for her. We've also switched to Dr Brown's bottles (BF didn't work out for us - another matter that caused some tears) and had 2 sessions with a Cranial Osteopath. Seeing some improvement as a combination of all I'm sure. CO was recommended by both MW and NCT BF counsellor. Apparently helpful for ventouse delivered babies.

I'm physically getting there. I'm still on the iron after hemorrhaging 2 litres of blood following the episiotomy. I also got a UTI/kidney infection from the catheter, but that seems to have cleared (although I sometimes still get a weird feeling there?). A gap was found in my stitches, so I try to bath every day in lavender and tea tree oils (I say bath, it's 1 inch deep and takes 40 seconds!) to avoid infection.

I'm envious of some of your sleep routines already! Ada tends to go a few hours max before waking for a feed. 2 hours is typical. Then sometimes she'll go straight back down, other times I'll be trying to settle her for hours. I never know what each night will bring. She's also incredibly difficult to settle in the evenings. Not sure why that is. Feel sorry for DH as she gets very grizzly just about the time he arrives home.

Haven't made it to the shower today, let alone outside, but we try to get out and about as she does like the car! She's currently asleep on my lap after refusing to nap in her basket. But at least it's given me the opportunity to catch up on here.

Big hugs to you all xx
