***April & May Mummy & Baby***

It's about 27' c during the day here & my bedroom temp is maybe 22ish degrees. Ella sleeps in a long-sleeved sleep suit and a lightweight sleeveless sleeping bag.

Sorry you had such a rubbish day :-( Sending you a big hug xx :hugs:Keep an eye on how you are feeling and make sure you keep yur HV updated. Use your parents as much as possible too xx

I'm now finding the good days definitely outweigh the bad days...it just feels like it took a long time to get to this point - and our little ones are only 10 -11 weeks...it feels like so much longer!

Emma - whilst it's been so hot, JJ has slept in a vest suit, with a cellular blanket draped over his legs. He of course kicks the blanket off...but he is quite a hot little soul anyway - for the last 4 nights he has slept 9 hours through the night, so I know he isnt cold! xxx

Hi all,

At 22 I'd have Libby in a baby gro no blanket.

Well I've just had my dinner! Had picnic with the girls, got back had an hr with oh before he went fishing then played fed played fed, walked dogs got back stripped her off and cooled her down a bit.

We had a bath together for the first time and she loved it :)

She's just got to bed and I've just eaten pasta and sauce :/

Might just go to bed! Oh not gonna be home till 11ish

26 in our room at the min. You ladies are brave moving babies into there own rooms, I'm no where near ready to do that. Can't believe she's 3 months on Thursday, where has the time gone

Yeah, I normally find this one easier but Evan has started kicking his legs so his back goes flat on the bed and unlatches. Even when I've tried putting a rolled up towel behind him. When I feed on my lap I usually just put him on a pillow so I don't have to support his back where he gets sweaty

Awww, I'd love a little bath with JJ...totally selfish though, I'm not quite sure what I'd do if he poo'd in the bath lol!!!!

JJ has been in his own room nearly 3 weeks now - and we are all sleeping so much better. He isnt keeping us awake with his snuffling and grunting...and we arent waking him up when we get up in the night. He also has so much more room in his cot bed. I love going in to his room in the morning and leaning over the cot, for him to give me the biggest cheesiest "morning mum" grin :-) Melts my heart everytime :-) xxx

N'aww i can't wait for the 'morning mum' smiles!

So he's had a top up feed at about 10pm, feel asleep on me so i popped him in his cot. I oped for a short sleeve vest and no blanket at the min as the temp in his room is 23c!! So i'll double check on him before i go to bed, i may put a cellular on him then if he feels cool.

So far so good. He's gone down, we have fussy period i went back up to sooth him and popped dummy in he then decided it was the perfect time to have a poo!! Lol so he's been changed, he had a fuss again daddy went back up and popped dummy back in and he's nodding of now, his breathing is getting a little slower.....

....i'm sat here monitor in hand stirring at the screen and listening to the little blips!!

These monitors are amazing, i can hear him, see him, it registers his movements, alarms if he stops you know what (can't even say the words) and i can even talk to him!! When J was little i had basic it sound monitors....no of this fandangled stuff!

Morning ladies,

Well last night was pretty uneventful, thank goodness! H took to his cot like he'd always been in it no problems at all once he had settled for the night. He woke for his usual feeds at 2am and 6am. 2am feed he went back down once winded, no problems, the 6am i had the usual refusing to give wind and so woke an hour later with tummy ache. Daddy managed to get a bit from him then H spent an hour laid over my belly while i rubbed and patted his back, he's been fast asleep since 7am so should be waking anytime soon.

OH managed a full nights sleep and woke full of beans this morning lol, i think its the first time since H has been born that OH has managed to sleep the whole night. Me on the other hand i didn't fall asleep til around midnight, spent an hour watch H sleep on the monitor! Then spent another Hour after the 2am feed and been awake since H woke at 6am! Lol so i've had about 5 hours broken sleep! But not feeling too bad considering lol i think i'm getting use to the no sleep thing!

Hope everyone else has had a better nights sleep? x x x

Morning Ladies & Babies!

Glad your night was un-eventful Emma :-) I was surprised how easy JJ took to hi cot too! I was pretty obsessed with watching him through the monitor too for the first week...dont worry, you do start to chill out a little!

The monitors available these days are amazing arent they! We've got the BT video monitor - the camera zooms in and out, it plays lullabies, it has a 2 way walkie talkie function, a temp gage...it's brilliant lol!

I have a friend popping round this afternoon - prior to her 12 week scan - very excited for her and also finding myself a bit broody...eeek!!

Off out tonight to a friends for dinner. I'm only leaving JJ for about 2 hours, but I still dont like being away from him! :-(

JJ has started to pull himself up into a sitting position - I thought he was too young to be able to do that, but he's managing somehow - he's a strong little monkey!! xx

Good morning

Scott slept from half 1 till quarter past 7! glad you had an uneventful night Emma! And Chezza? Broody? Omg girl! Slow down haha

Here's my happy chappy this morning after a good long sleep

I have a Samsung galaxy tab and my OH has installed an app called air droid. It basically turns your tab into a video camera and transmits the data onto the pc monitor screen downstairs so we just pop the tab next to the cot and connect. Completely free, wireless and easy to set up! Beats paying for something lol!

Well I'm off to pick up another electric breast pump this afternoon, I really need to up my supply. Scott it's feeding so well but after 5 minutes ish gets annoyed and needs formula top ups. I just don't think I have enough milk atm so gonna go on a crazy pump fuelled week to get these tits active again for him

Morning ladies!!

Oh these high temps are getting to me...and I feel so bad for complaining haha!! Wee are 3 stories up in a flat so our place is ALWAYS roasting...I never have to put the heating on as our place is just constantly warm! Last night our room was like a sauna walking into it the heat just hit you! 1am I was still up windows wide open in every room, every door open trying to get the air in! Rhys was roasting hot and wouldn't settle! I feel for them so much in this weather it must be horrible being so warm and just relying on someone to cool you down! It's a wee bit cooler today (so far) and I'm enjoying it at the min haha! How terrible!

Glad I'm not the only one Shell!!! I'd really like another one...didnt think I'd say that after the birth I had lol! xx

You broody lot are all mad! Two of these = nightmare! Lol
Great to hear everyone is sleeping more, even my two are waking less in the night now, yay! Lina actully slept from 10 til 4 which is unheard of! Santi sleptfrom midnight til half 4, so my nights are easier now :)
Problem is, the daytimes arenconstant feeding, which is tiring in this heat. And i am still house bound due to the intense heat outside.
I had to take Santi to the docs this morning though, his heat rash had turned into eczema and he was so distressed this morning, and i felt terrible because i had nothing to soothe it. Even his ears were splitting it was so dry :( Docs have given me hydrocortisone cream, and one application has made it look heaps better already, and he is not trying to scratch hisface off anymore.
Small victory for me because i had to go alone, OH at work, and managed to speak enough spanish to explain, get a diagnosis and then pick the creams up from the pharmacy, go me!

Ohhh, poor little Santiago...but go mummy - well done you :-)

Hope this ream continues to help his skin...it's tough enough without our babies having to deal with additional problems!! xx

Poor Santiago, steroids do work wonders but do keep him moisturised too. What are you using in the bath? Liquid paraffin is good(oilam here, must be equivalent in Spain?)

Using nothing in the bath, havent found spanish version yet, so thinking about grinding some oatmeal i have in the cupboard. Two big tubs of e45 are on their wy to me too! Hoping he will jut need a few applications of the cream, really dramatic improvent in one, and much happier baby!

Oatmeal is good too. I find that water dries their skin. Atm using coconut oil for M's skin
