***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Thanks ladies...just feel like utter sh*te this morning...so tired and can never usually sleep in the day.

I don't know why I didn't think of it last night, but I have moved the bedding he was laying in, in his basket, into the cot - hoping that the familiar smells might help him settle a bit more.

Never had to re-settle JJ in his basket...so not sure of the "right way" to do it...do you pick up baby when they are crying to comfort and then re-settle, or try and leave them in the cot and just reassure through a hand on the chest or something?!? Any advice GREATLY appreciated! Thank you xx

Good luck with your hosp apt Stargirl - let us know how it goes xx

Aww yeah the tiredness doesn't help. But he will soon get used to it, it is just because it is a change. When he is tired enough he will soon sleep there lol.

Does he have a projector thingy? Anna has a winnie the pooh projector thing that plays a night time song thats really calming and projects some night time winnie the pooh things on the cieling and it knocks her straight out. Maybe try one of those? My nephew had his for agggges and just the first sounds he would be asleep...worked up until he was about 4 lol. xxx

Yes, we have a Freddie Frog slumber buddy - he projects the night sky onto the ceiling and plays lullabies...but JJ is too busy screaming with his eyes shut to hear / see Freddie's delightful show lol!

Just going to stick with it and see how it goes...yawn....! xx

Oh just read this :(

You certainly haven't failed though! He'll get used to it hun, just takes a bit of time to adjust to a bigger space. Try and get some sleep today x

Glad to hear your little one doesn't need anymore follow-ups stargirl, it's great news!

I have a similar thing going on at the min, but was too impatient to order the teddy and wait for it, so i have womb noise playing on my ipod! Lol

It was our first time with it on last night, and i have to say i'm impressed so far. He doesn't normally settle upstairs without us but last night we managed to get him upstairs and settled in his carrycot for around 9pm! Which is the earliest that he's ever gone down! He's usually still hanging on at around 11pm! Lol

Can i just ask ladies, when your little ones go down for a nap, where do you put them? Do they stay downstairs and only go up to bed at night time, or do they nap upstairs in the place that they sleep at night?

I'm thinking of letting H nap in his cotbed during the day to help him get use to his bed/room, but i don't want him thinking his cotbed is just for his day time naps! Lol He currently naps downstairs on his bear gym thingy then sleeps in his carrycot as he hated his moses basket.

Lexi currently naps in her bouncer with me in the lounge. I'll soon put her in her cot though Xx

Tapatalking :-D Can't see tickers...

What a god awful night...up 5 times with JJ screaming the house down...in tears, so tired and feeling like I've failed...

I've had this with Ruby it's awful when they won't sleep :( x

Afternoon ladies,

Hope all is well, I've been bf Olivia since she was born but I return to work in 6 weeks and OH will then be taking some paternity leave to look after her, as I can't express enough of my milk to feed her while I'm at work we've decided to give her formula. So for the last week we have started to change 2 feeds currently to formula to ween her on to it. She's been quite happily having them (phEW!) but what I wanted to ask you guys is what are your lo's like after, so far Olive seems to be doing like straining motions even though she's been going poop no problem and then in the early evening she's become really agitated but I'm not sure if that's the bottles or that she's going through a change as she's 3 months today.

Rian naps downstairs either on settee surrounded by pillows or in his chair x

ladies i am desperate to show my little one off but i have no idea how to upload a pic, please can someone help xx

Hi Ladies, I'm late joining you all here. My little Grace Isabella was born 10th May, 9lbs 7oz! I also have a nearly 20 month old little boy so second time round for me but loving having a little bubba in the house again :) To those of you wanting to try for another baby for a close age gap, I say go for it. The first few weeks were hard -especially with my toddler adjusting to not having my full attention all the time but now its easy and I love that my two will grow up together :) xx

I have a possibly stupid question but ah well lol...

You know when people ask "how many oz's she have now?" well...we fill the bottles to 6oz but when we add the formula it goes to 8oz...so is she on 6 or 8? *blush*

Hahaha I think it's lovely that your broody again!!

We're hoping for a wedding baby which is when ds will be 6 months, so baby no 2 would hopefully be along when ds1 is about 15-1months old- I just don't want him to grow up at all though!!!

Awwww hun, I bet it was a shock for you because he has been so good and I was very jel of you getting so much sleep. It could just be a phase! Ruby is on 3hr feeds still. The odd time she will go shorter or longer. She has just screamed for a bottle, hubby has made one and she is asleep in my arms! Little minx. They r so naughty! You could try upping his feed but he might not want it all. It's trial and error is suppose xxx

Shock isnt the word lol my happy content baby has gone replaced by this right grumpy monster lol

We have upped his milk to 6oz and hes drinking it all but hes only going 3hrs between feeds. x[/QUOTE]

I am so glad im not the only one with a big eater! i am considering upping J's to 7oz as he is always mouthing for more xx
