***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Goodness I can't believe your planning number 2 already!

Tambo - I'd be able holding off even longer but it's not fair on the OH!

.

well it took us 9 long years to fall so we kinda wanna try as soon as thats even if i can fall again! Do think im kinda mad thou!! X

Has anyone been to a baby group yet?

There is a local one to me for babies under one and I'd love to go and make some friends (none of my close friends have kids yet so I'm feeling a bit lonely during the day time!) but I'm nervous??? Also T is barely holding up his own head so can't really do much so it will literally mean is have to just talk to the mums there and not use T as a distraction

No I haven't yet - and wont for a couple of months either...the only group I am going to join is baby signing and that wont be til JJ is 4 months old.

I want to make sure we are in a more established routine before we attempt anything else, socially.

I have a friend who took her little girl to baby sensory classes - she paid for 6 sessions and bubba slept through 5 of them lol! xx

I'm going to go to one as soon as I find one. Babies are always a good point of conversation regardless of age and ability. Even Trey just lying in your arms looking cute will be a distraction lol. Wish we all lived close then we wouldn't have this problem would we!

I can no longer wear my hair down! Scott just grabs, tugs and hangs off it at every opportunity. So bloody annoying! He has such a strong grip :(

Libby is 10 weeks old today, the bumbo was pushed to the back so if she did manage to eject she would have landed on the counter, she won't be up there much longer as she's getting more active, the new ones have a harness in.

It's jab day today so making the most if my happy baby thus morning we're laid on my bed pulling faces at each other.

I had such a bad night with H last night. He just won't settle for long unless he's in bed with me or on his belly! I'm too scared to let him sleep on his belly while I'm sleeping and I don't want to co- sleep with him. I refuse to put him in bed with me before 5 am because I'm just too tired so am too scared. (Sorry if that makes no sense, very tired mummy today)

Hope everyone is well ? X

I thought about if i'd want more the other day, and at the min i can honestly say NO! haha I think i'm done now, we tried for 3 years for H so i plan on making the absolute most of him, TTC again may take my full focus off him, i kinda got addicted to TTC what with researching vits, HTPs, OPKs etc etc etc. I like to think my family is complete now.

That's not to say i don't mind the practice side! Me and OH have been at it since week 2! It's been amazing, almost like our sex life has been renewed! I'll be honest i was so big in pregnancy i could only get in certain positions which soon became boring, and OH was so nervous about hurting me or baby!

I feel your pain hun.

H is exactly the same most nights! He goes down about 11pm, wakes again at around 3-4am and is a nightmare to get back to sleep. He'll be yawning like mad, rubbing his face pulling his ear (all ques for him being tired) and just will not settle unless he's on my chest!

And like you i don't want to begin co-sleeping, it can be done safely but i'd be so worried i probably wouldn't sleep, EVER! And my H would rather sleep on his side than his back, which your not meant to allow as they can roll over on to there front. Apparently it's fine once baby can roll over themselves, but not before. So i allow him to sleep on his side for naps when i'm able to watch him like a hawk, but other than that it's back only and in his cot!

Am i the only one that can't wait for the 3 month mark when things settle down? Lol

I'm glad I'm not the only one 2 months down the line and starving poor DH of naughtiness! He is very patient (thank god!) but I don't feel properly healed down there. It's still a little sore and having had issues down there before I'm very cautious. Not that if I felt in the mood I would have the energy to do anything anyway!

I have really bad hayfever and/or a cold (thanks to my dad) so feel like death today.

We have been out to a mums n tots group. It was nice even though the next youngest baby was 9 months. I've only been twice since he was 3 weeks. Everything seems to be in the mornings and Evan has started getting into a habit of having long naps in the morning so I leave him to it.

Morning Ladies! Hope mummies and babies are all well today!

I am SOOO pleased to report that JJ has settled right down and we have had a wonderful day so far!

I definitely think he was going through his 2nd Leap - and (fingers crossed) coming out the other end now. I was able to put him down for a nap today and he hasn't grizzled or cried once - hooray!! So I'm now running around like a mad thing, doing the housework whilst I have the chance...

Then I'm sitting down to catch up on some soaps, to have a nice cuppa and a massive jammy donut.

Bliss :-) xxx

Haha Chezza there is nothing more satisfying than a peacefully sleeping baby, a tidy house & a great snack! Rhys is loads better than yest after his jags, he's currently totally fighting sleep just now but I know he's almost there:D then I'm going to chill until my dreaded metafit at 5.30:(!!

Can i just ask how do you know when to expect a leap/growth spurt? Have i missed a vital instructions manual??!!

I'm probably going to jinx myself but i think we have combated H's wind problems, i sawpped him to the hungry baby milk, which he seems to be doing great on and i've not been giving his infacol. Mainly because we ran out and OH forgot to pick some more up on his way home. Well he's been 2 days without it now and i can get wind out of him everytime!! :D

He's so much happier! And so am i :D x x x

@MrsHope:
If you are going to supplement with water, make sure it's cooled boiled water so that all bacteria is killed off. My midwife said you can also give babies a bit of unsweetened fennel tea.

I'm trying colocynth crystals at the moment for Ella to help with her colic. Has anyone else tried these? My friend recommended them.k

Sorry I'm month hopping here but without a word of a lie these crystals saved my sanity!!! They worked a treat on Spencer!

Little tip though if you're struggling with that stupid little spoon, make sure your hands are clean, dip your finger in a bit of water and stick the granules to your finger. Much easier to get them all in the mouth!

Thanks for the tip! Can I ask how you use them? Do you give a few sprinkles before each feed or do you just give them when your baby's crying & colicy? Also, how long do they take until you sre an effect?
Thanks!

How have you been getting on with the granules?

It's great - so pleased he has settled a bit!! Glad Rhys is good today - hopefully he'll get a proper nap soon and wake up feeling much better.

I really should think about exercise classes...just cant bring myself to do it yet lol! Starting swimming with JJ this weekend though, so that should be fun. Good luck with your metafit - even the title sounds a bit brutal!! xx

Hey Emma, I recently bought an app on my iphone called "The Wonder Weeks" - it guides you through babies leaps and growth spurts...tells what baby is going through, how to help them and gives you a week by week warning of "stormy" periods, when they are at their crankiest lol! There is a website you can look at for background info:

http://www.thewonderweeks.com/mental-leap-1/

The app is £1.49 - and is totally worth it IMO!

Brilliant news about Harrison!! Long may it continue :-) xxx
