lost 8% but not gaining any, Eliza decided to curl in a ball on my chest hope she settles soon as half hr till next feed! x

Grace has been awake since 12 & I'm so tired I would really appreciate a little bit of sleep. Every time she settles on me ill put her in her Moses basket & she'll be wide eyed! X

knopk i have no idea how you do it. My poor cats have had nothing from me, so how you have time and energy for another LO is beyond me.

DH is back at work today. He was not happy and I tried not to wake him in the night. Did mean I got up at 6.30 after the morning feed so he could have an hour more to sleep. Yawn

Has anyone else's baby's started moving round the crib? Put Libby to bed
last night at the bottom woke up to find her at the top! Little wriggle bum

Wondering whether to move her into gro bag from being swaddled in blankets.

Not made it out today goes from Sun to hail and sideways rain in seconds.

She gets registered as a proper person tomorrow

Amy, i just have to. DS one had a meltdown.for about 30 mins. He is so stubborn and was having a tantrum. Its a battle of wills here and i dont feel like i am winning atm.
Mark is quite good, i sometimes put him in the sling as he likes being upright or in the swing so i.can have some time with DS1.
I was so frustrated that i went and got myself a cheesecake, i really shouldnt have but it was nice with a cuppa. No wonder i am not losibg weight

Feeling a lot better today - had a really good nights sleep - JJ only got me up once at 3.15am, then slept through til 7.45am! Yay! I know every night wont be like this, but it's such an improvement from every 45 mins! God bless infacol

Vinandbella - JJ is a little wrigglebum too - He doesn't tend to move himself up in the moses basket, but does appear to roll a little, which worries me somewhat!

We registered his birth today, so he is officially legal

We have our first HV meeting tmrw afternoon - and then DH is back to work on Weds...dreading that tbh. Especially as we both started feeling a bit unwell today - sore throat / ear ache / sneezing...hope we aren't coming down with colds.

Hello, how are you and your Lo doing? Can't believe Ava will be 4 weeks on Wednesday it has flown by. Scary really. Feeling a bit braver about taking her out on my own now, managed a few coffee mornings at costa!! some days she is really settled, I'm able to put her down to sleep and she goes off on her own, then there's days like today she sleep for 5 mins then wakes up again. I feel like I don't always know what she wants.
Hope every one else is getting on ok? Loving the pictures, very cute babas xx

Hey Pandabear...good to hear from you - glad all is going well!

It's crazy how quickly the days are whipping by at the moment isn't it? Joshua is 2 weeks old today, although have to say it feels longer! We had a few dodgy nights over the last week resulting in not enough sleep and zombie days...but last night was great and without wishing to jinx it, tonight seems to be going well too

Totally with you though - I feel like I don't always know what Joshua wants either and it makes me feel a little inadequate sometimes...have to keep reminding myself that we haven't done this before and that every day we learn something new!

My oh my, I feel like the walking dead this morning! This girl just does not fancy sleeping the last couple of days/nights! She's well up for a bit of milk though. I did a desperate 4am google and apparently it might be a growth spurt?

She's 4 weeks today! I can't believe how fast it's gone

He is so gorgeous!! How was last nite?
I remember reading they go through a growth spurt.
Ava had her bottle 10.30 last nite only had about 3oz then 4oz at 2.30, she woke up 6.30 wouldn't settle back down so done her a bottle but se only had 2oz! Last week she was guzzling 4 so hv said to offer her 5! She hasn't had no where near that tho!! Lil minx!! Am off to do school run now!! Hope the rain holds off xx

hi every one and congratulations to all who had their babies. sorry ive not been around the past few weeks but not been up to the laptop much and its not easy on the kindle to get on line. ive hand written my labor thread so will get that up as soon as i can. we are both doing ok caden is amazing and such a good baby. i developed a cellulitis infection in my wound so have been fighting that but its still not fixed yet so trying to get gp appointment.
its amazing how fast time goes my wee man is 3 weeks and 3 days old already. he only wakes once in the night for a feed and he only cries when he has to get naked for a bath or to be changed.

Really struggling at the moment. Thank god me and DH moved in with my parents or I might just have lost the plot. Had to hand him over to my mum last night cos he was just inconsolable. Really finding it hard not to take it personally and get angry. Poor DH is struggling with being back at work, although I haven't got him up in the night so he can sleep. I know it gets easier, or so I'm led to believe...

At least the little guy has no problem feeding; 1lb 5oz gained in 16 days just from BF. Just a shame he always seems really uncomfortable after a feed. Still can't work out whether it's overfeeding or colic. Nothing we do seems to work

Welcome DL! Nice to get a little update from you Hope you manage to get your infection sorted out asap...sounds like it has been a bit of a nightmare for you. Caden is gorgeous!

Bless you AmyQ - I can totally empathise...had a few bad nights on the trot with little one and just felt useless! I kept wondering how on earth I was going to cope if I couldn't even do something so simple like settle him for a nap. Having had 2 good nights in a row now - and not feeling like a complete zombie, I feel much more confident...it's amazing how tiredness can affect you.

We have been using the infacol for 3 days now and it's like having a different baby! He feeds really well, he is burping well after every feed and settles fairly quickly afterwards too. If you think he may have a touch of colic, there is no harm in using the infacol before every feed.

Just had our first HV meeting - another 7oz on - taking Joshua up to 8lb 7oz...very pleased with his weight gain He has a touch of nappy rash though, poor little sausage...hoping to have a lot of nappy-free time to try and help get rid of it!

Midwife has not long been., Grace is back up to her birth weight of 4lb 9oz which she seemed happy with. Still a tinge of jaundice but she's not too bothered with that. Next weigh in will be next Wednesday and Grace will be 3 weeks old

Registering her tomorrow she'll be a real person & HV for the first time on Thursday.. Can anyone tell me what happened at their first HV appt? Xx

I've just had my first HV meeting...I was quite surprised that there were 2 of them actually - found it a bit intimidating!

She was only here for about 30 mins or so - we went through the little red baby book in great detail and then she questioned me on how I fed Joshua - how I prepped his bottles etc - and how we changed his bum, kept him clean etc! She asked about my wellbeing and then weighed Joshua - that was about it! I did feel like I was being questioned an awful lot, but I guess that's their job at the end of the day.

Glad little Grace is doing well and putting on weight xxx
