***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Oh my goodness.....tired is not the word!!!! No matter what we did last night, he just would not settle...went through all the motions, doing all the usual checks...he would fall asleep on one of us - and as soon as we tried to put him down, he started screaming!!! He has slept so soundly in his moses basket since we brought him home - but last night it was like having a different baby!! :-(

Hoping this is just a blip and not a sign of things to come...

Hope all you ladies are well today xxx

Hi girls!!! How'd i miss this thread?

Can you add Lexi Marie born 08/04/13 weighing 8lb 1oz.

How is everyone? Lexi has done amazingly through the night for a while now. She only gets me up once around 4am so not too much trouble at all. :-D she still loves her sleep and is a really easy baby to read.

Its mega hard work with a 2.5 year old and a newborn however. Cam is 100x more exhausting than the baby through. He's been excellent with her but is demanding a lot of attention which can be expected.

Xx

Tapatalking :-D Can't see tickers...

Omg Pudds86 how much lovely hair does your lo have!

Can you add me to the list Olivia Grace 05/04/13 weighing 6lb 10oz.
This last week Olivia has decided to make it more complicated for mum by changing what she wants each day, some days could sleep all day others just wont sleep at all which is then affecting night sleeps. BF was going well but now she's feeding nearly 1-2 hours at the most and varying from 10-45 minutes feeding which a fuss and a cry between breasts! Anyone else feel like they don't know where they are at the moment?

Totally with you Shinnyshoe...I thought I had it all under control up until last night - it was all going really well! Today I feel like a bit of a failure.

Caught up on some sleep this morning which has helped, just have no idea how I'm going to cope with recurring nights like last night...guess I will just have to find a way!!! xx

Chezza I was like the walking dead after one night being awake from midnight-4.30am and the next night up every hr! But the following night was so much better and now she seems to have a little routine creeping in. So just keep your chin up, it may be he was having a growth spurt? That's what the doc said to me anyway! Who knows!!

Pudds Lexi is soooooo adorable! Both our little girls have loads of hair - is it everyone's favourite thing to comment on?! It seems to be here ;)
Also - where did you get her lovely babygro? She looks beautiful!

Shinnyshoe - my plan at the moment is to just go with the flow! I feel like I'm feeding allllll the time at the moment. I wonder if half of it is comfort sucking?

Right now I'm just thankful OH is such a heavy sleeper - means I can watch tv while feeding without waking him!...not so keen on his snoring mind...

Took this pic this morning - thought it was cute :)

Poor DH got pooed on yesterday. I fed Evan and then handed him over to be winded and said he needed a change. Unfortunately the little man hadn't finished his business. Couldn't help but laugh and DH found it quite funny.

Managed to take him out to do some food shopping yesterday, only needed a few bits and he was well behaved. Still anxious about doing a bigger trip. I have no idea how I'd be able to bf in public, at the moment I just have to get everything out lol. I suppose it will come with practice.

Evan woke every 3 hours in the night for a feed. Kind of getting used to it now, but struggling to sleep in the day when he does so get very grumpy in the early evening.

And how much noise do babies make when they're sleeping?! Grunting, groaning, animal sounds lol!

Pudds and Petit Pois - your LOs are adorable xx

Hello, finally made it to this thread! My boy Miles born 03/05/13 at 7.44am.

Just been to see the doc as I have mastitis. Boo. Been super struggling with bfing it's soooooo painful and on the infected side he has never fed properly. It's making me really sad and I'm having to give him bottle feeds which is fine, but you'd think I'd said I was going to starve him or something with the way the midwives react! I will keep persevering but it's soooo draining when it's not going well along with all the other post-birth stuff.

We had him back at hospital last two days as he was jaundiced, he's much better now though and we are home again. Hated having him in the incubator and not being able to have snuggles all the time.

Hope everyone is ok xxxxxxx

Can me and my little lady join you Eliza was born at 33+2 she is 4lb 13 :) trying to find clothes to fit as you can see tiny baby is massive x

Ohhhhhh bless her! Such a little dink! How is she getting on?

We are struggling with sleeping tonight!!!! Fell asleep on the boob at about 9.30 as usual, then woke when I put her down. Was up with her til midnight and now she's just woken again. Fingers crossed after some milk she'll have a good few hours!

Plus, OH is snoring like an effing pig and want to punch him in the face!

She is doing well but wants to be glued to me, working on her sucking reflex bought different bottles to try today. Sleep isn't really happening yet as she mews when she isn't on me and Layla (other daughter) having seizures x

Oh dear sounds like you're having a bit of a stressful time!
Hope you all manage to get some sleep soon, and hope Layla's ok! xxx

Omg I have seen every hour tonight!
She will only settle with her head slightly raised, I'm not sure if its cos she's a bit sniffly and can breathe easier? Or if it's something else? Reflux? I don't know. I'm tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired.

Got Daisy an appointment at docs today at 11, I want them to check her over as earlier this morning during one of her half hour sleeps (lol) she sounded like she was really struggling to breathe clearly and also sneezed a few times. Probably me being paranoid but I'd feel better if someone listened to her chest!

Jazz - your little girl is gorgeous!! Such a dinky angel! Hope she and your other little one are doing better today?

PP - how's Daisy doing now? Hope the Dr's apt goes well.

JJ has been sneezing and wheezing a little bit over the last couple of days...have read that bubba's born by C Section can be prone to having a little more mucus on their chests...not sure why or how it disperses...? A question for the health visitor on Tuesday I think!

We had our 10 day check yesterday - JJ put on 8oz in the last 5 days!! Little chubba :-)

We are registering his birth on Monday before DH has to go back to work on Weds. Dreading the latter!!

Hope everyone is well today xxxx

Hi all!

Can you please add Riley Stewart born 20/04/13 weighing 8lb 1 & 1/2oz

I cant believe Riley will be 3 weeks old tomorrow! Seems like only yesterday I was going in to be induced!

My mum took over having Layla last night who was up every hour, Eliza woke at 1 and would only settle on my chest with me sat up manged to peal her off at 7am so hanging a bit! Layla is better today seizures due to teething. I just got to start getting in a routine x

Hey openeyes - how are you doing??

Hi Jazz - how old is Layla - and what are the seizures she is having? Sounds like you are having a really rough time.

I cant wait to get into some sort of routine now - we have managed to change JJ's evening sleep pattern a little more to suit us - so instead of waking at 11pm and staying awake til 1am - he now wakes at 8pm and settles at 11pm...it took a week, but we got there in the end.

He usually wakes at 1.30am-ish and again at 4.30am-ish - and then sleeps through til around 8am, so not too bad really. Really, really hoping he will go to just one night feed very soon!

We bought him this big snuggly cushioned bouncer chair from John Lewis and that appears to be his favourite place to sleep - even more so than his moses basket...tempted to try and put him down in that overnight to see if he sleeps a little longer lol! xxx

I'm good thanks Chezza. Bleedin knackered, but loving every minute of it! I think Riley is going through a bit of a growth spurt as he is wanting to feed every hour or so at the moment. My boobs are killing me! lol.

How are you doing? It sounds as though you are getting into a good routine with JJ already! Riley has a similar pattern. Last night he went down at about 1am and didn't wake up for the next feed until nearly 6!
