Morning ladies

Well OH went out yesterday and bought comfort milk, were starting him on it today. He's just had his morning bottle, drank 3 oz gave me wind :) and is now snuggled up on my chest sleeping ♥♥

I'm praying to god this helps his colic, last night was awful. He woke round 9.30 screaming and didn't settle again til midnight :( I was in tears because I couldn't help him :(

I'm going to speak to the health visitor this morning to see if there is anything else I can be doing. She's coming this morning to weigh him etc, she's meant to be here at 11 but always turns up half hour earlier :/

She was meant to be here yesterday but I stupidly locked my keys in my OH car, who was at work. The dogs were going mental coz she kept banging on the door, I tipped the draws out looking for the spare key, bottles all over the side as I was up late due to being up with Harrison most the night. Couldn't find the key so had to shout out the kitchen window, then Harrison started screaming. I must have looked shot to pieces she looked so concerned and asked how I was coping!

I'm not usually that disorganised, so I'm going to have to try to convince her that I'm not normally like that!! Lol

hi ladies, hope you're all well x

Just catching up a bit on this thread and I noticed some comments about the Dr Brown bottles. I bought Scott some and tbh I just can't tell the difference. He is just as windy as he was before and we still have to pause feeding him to burp him exactly the same. I read so many reviews about them before I wasted over £30 on them and I wish I hadn't bothered. I just honestly haven't noticed a scrap of difference except the the milk leaks out the top if you warm the bottle with the lid on. They are also annoying to clean. If they did a satisfaction guaranteed or your money back I would get a refund lol x

Hi Chezza,

As per my presense on here has been zero! I'm such a bad forum-er! Lol.

Anyway, Joseph Benjamin Bowden arrived at 10.30pm on 19th May weighing a hufe 19lb 1oz!

How are you doing? Xx

19lb 1oz? !?!

I just spat my tea over my phone, jeez he sure is a Big bundle of joy! Please tell me you had a section? Xx

Well health visitor has been.

She weighed him he's now 9lb 13oz, nothing in conparison to tinkerbates little boy, but i was shocked to find he'd put on 1lb in 8 days! Apparently for his age and birth weigh this is fine and he's still around the 75% percentile, so she's happy with him.

I also spoke to her about his colic and she said it pretty much sounds like i'm doing/trying all i can. She has said the comfort milk should help, however it's not for every baby, it's just trial and error. And has also said once he's old enough we could try him on gripe water. Until then it's just a case of waiting it out.

He seems settled enough today, he's just had his second bottle of comfort milk and again i managed to get wind out of him...so that's put me in a good mood. He's now sleeping, again! Lol

Oh and also the HV made a note of how shit i look lol Wrote in her little book 'mum looks shattered and baby colicy'....urm thanks :/

H has to go for a scan on his hips on the 28th. I'm dreading it. Glad Libby is ok.

My little man is 5 weeks old and weighs 9lb 14 1/2 oz's. he's put 5 oz on in a week :)

Got her big girl cot :) just need to pick it up, wouldn't fit in the car with baby in so will have to send oh without us.

The scan itself was a doddle, was h breech or did they find a clicky hip?

Hey Tinkerbates! Nice to see you on here....you have been added :-)

Lol - I had tears in my eyes when I read your message above...then saw your other message and was so relieved for you!!

I'm good thanks - JJ is 8 weeks on Monday - was 11lb 7 as his last weigh in and at least 5cm longer than average...he is growing far too fast and is in 3 - 6 month sleep suits already.

I saw your other message in the main section of the forum and you have lots of lovely messages of support. There are some terrific ladies on here, always ready and willing to offer advice and support...remember that! xx

Stick with the comfort milk Emma - I saw changes in JJ within 2 days, but I would recommend giving it at least 1 week - I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me - JJ's colic has pretty much disappeared now

Good luck xxx

No he wasn't breech. The doctor was concerned about clicky hips and a turn in his foot. I'm not to concerned as his hips seem loads better, but he hates being messed with so I'm really not looking forward to the scan. :(

Hey girls,

Had a lovely visit from two of my work friends today and I just wanted to share the beautiful gifts they gave me. If anyone ever wants the details of where they're from let me know as they're so lovely!!! The picture of the frame doesn't do it enough justice- it's a bit bigger than a4 size and has little blue crystals on it :-)

Got my appointment with the family planning nurse tomorrow for swabs before I get the coil fitted (not that I need contraception lol - poor DH!). Relieved as someone will actually be able to check my episiotomy. Still paranoid that it's not right but I just need someone to tell me it's all fine.

After Evan's guitar playing the other day I'm not sure whether I should get him started on any other instruments lol!

Your pressies are lovely Jolly xx

7 weeks and 6lb 6 :)
