***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Hi ladies! Sorry been awol :-D

Lexi was 10 weeks on Monday and weighs 11lb 4oz. Sleeping through still beautifully. 9-9 last night!

Tapatalking :-D Can't see tickers...

Oh pudds... Lexi is just beautiful, she looks so content and happy too :-) xx

Jazz: she's amazing. Such a cutie & what a brilliant expression lol! Where did you get the ladybird suit from? I love it!

WOOHOO!

Evan slept from 10 - 5.45! It's a bloody miracle. I would have gone back to sleep with him but I have the docs at half 9. He was straight back to sleep though. He might be grumpy in the evenings but he is fantastic about sleeping in the night

Go Evan!

Libby went 9.30 till 6.30 last night so normality had resumed :) put her in her crib at 9.30 and me and OH had an hr together before bed :)

Just having brekkie and a cuppa in bed before I get ready to take on the world lol. Might dig out Davina workout and give that a go before she wakes up again.

Stargirl,

The scan was easy, they're popped all snug in a dip on there side and then they wizz over the hip with the scanner, it took 5 minutes start to finish for both hips with no messing.

Vinandbella- thank you- sounds so much easier and calmer then I was imagining.

April and may babies are the cutest. And they all do seen to be fab sleepers apart from my little man. He settled in his cot again last night but once again woke for a feed around midnight and then wouldn't go back down.

As soon as I lie him on our bed though he closes his eyes. He'd be perfect if we co-slept but I'm just too scared to try it.

Hey Tinkerbates! Nice to see you on here....you have been added :-)

Lol - I had tears in my eyes when I read your message above...then saw your other message and was so relieved for you!!

I'm good thanks - JJ is 8 weeks on Monday - was 11lb 7 as his last weigh in and at least 5cm longer than average...he is growing far too fast and is in 3 - 6 month sleep suits already.

I saw your other message in the main section of the forum and you have lots of lovely messages of support. There are some terrific ladies on here, always ready and willing to offer advice and support...remember that! xx[/QUOTE]

8 weeks already, that has flown! So glad he's doing well :-)

Had Joseph weighed yesterday, he is 12lbs already! Still somehow getting in his 0-3's!

I am really touched by the comments on my other post, lovely to have advice and support xx

I have to agree all these april and may babies are absolutely beautiful, and i'm not even bias as my little man is a June baby! (May baby is spirit lol)

Which is evident in the fact my little man is not a good sleeper! haha He woke last night for a bottle at 10.30pm and didn't settle again til 12.40am! I think it was a combination of him being over tired and his colic playing up. He then woke again at 4.15am for a bottle and refused to give me wind. So i put him back down and waited for him to wake, which he did an hour later. Managed to get his wind up and a little sick for good measure :) He then settled back down til 7.30am.

So in all he's not a bad sleeper and eventually i'm sure he'll drop the 4am feed. But i'm just not sure how to get him to settle on an evening? He fights his sleep so much.

He is only 3 weeks tomorrow so i don't expect miracles but how do you settle your little ones? I've read that a few of your babies are sleeping from 9.30! I would love to be able to out him down at 9.30 and have some time with just the OH xxx

Awwww all these babies are gorgeous! Here's some of my little man, 8 weeks on Sunday cannot believe it!!

Hey Emma! JJ still wakes for a 4am-ish feed...but goes down every night without fail for around 21.30pm. We bath him at 20.30m, using a tiny amount of Johnsons bedtime bubbles, then he has cuddles and a 5oz bottle with daddy...and without fail drops off - and is put in his basket straight away.

As I said he has another feed at around 4am - usually 4oz...then sleeps til 06.30am. I wish he didn't get up so early...but I haven't worked out how to change that yet lol! xx

Although we are on day 3 of near enough permanent grizzling....here's my little dude during some quieter moments!!

I'm really curious too Emma! Chezza I've seen you get ur little one down for 8.30 was it? Does he sleep all night? Did he just fall into the routine himself?

T is 6 weeks and will have a feed between 6-8, 11pm-1am, 3am-5am, 7am-10am. I tried for a couple days to bathe him around the same time but on the 3rd day he cried for his bottle around 5.30 and then slept untill about 9pm!! It changes everyday tho depending on what his day has been like, he sleeps for varied hours too, sometimes 2 hours sometimes 4 so it's hard to get his bottle ready before he screams the place down!

Xxxx

I just missed that post lol!!

Did you coax JJ into that routine or did he fall into it himself?

Out fit from mother care.

Lol no worries! Initially he wasn't really falling asleep until 11pm, but we were still only top and tailing at that point as his cord hadn't dropped off - so couldn't do the whole bath / feed / bed thing.

As soon as it had dropped off and we knew we could bath him every day (so from about 2.5 weeks old I think) - we started bathing him at 20.30pm, giving a bottle and daddy cuddles straight after - and my DH would rock him to sleep - then we would put him down in the lounge with us and take him to bed around 10.30pm-ish.

Now, DH gives him a bottle and he falls asleep on his own around 21.30pm every night - and last week we started putting him to bed upstairs on his own and it has worked every night so far. It took a few weeks to get there, but it worked in the end :-) xx

Nurse checked me out and all is good. Swabs weren't nice, reminded me what the stretch & sweeps were like. She asked if there was any chance I could be pregnant and I laughed!

Try not to worry about routines, they will find their own rountine. We don't bath every night (I try lol!) but he will always start to fall asleep about 10ish. But he doesn't nap in the day for longer than half an hour so is knackered by bedtime xx
