Hi ladies,

Quick question, do any of you use the aptamil comfort milk and if so how do you rate it? Harrison is still having issues with his wind, mainly on a night time. No matter how hard i try he will not give up his wind at night, and he has so much i can hear it in his guts bubbling :(

He's already on infacol and colief. I've changed his bottles to the new comfort tommee tippee bottles and tried loads of different winding positions all to no avail.

So i'm left with changing his formula. I was thinking about changing to the aptamil comfort as he's on aptamil stage one at the min. I just wanted to know is it worth it and does it work?

Hi Emma, Ive had JJ on Aptamil Comfort milk for nearly 2 weeks now - and its like having a different baby! Before he was on this, we tried infacol, colief and gripe water and they all worked well for the first few days, but he was in so much pain again soon after.

I use Tom Tip bottles, with size 2 anti colic teats - and he feeds like a dream with minimal wind.

The downside is smelly full nappies and BIG loud farts lol...but I'll take that over him being in pain any day xx

Thank you chezza.

I'm still undecided on what to do for the best. I've changed his teats over for now to size 1's. He took 3 and half oz at 3 o'clock and another oz and half at 5 o'clock. He did seem to guzzle it down either.

He's due some more formula in the next day or so so i may try him on the comfort. Does it affect there feeding? With it being thicker does that mean he'll drink less but more often? Or should his feeding pattern remain the same?

Also i've read that the formula has to be done wit boiling water for it to dissolve properly, which is fine in the day. But at night i take a flask of hot water to bed, will this be hot enough to dissolve the formula? How to you manage your night feeds?

Sorry for the millions of questions x x

I got mine from Amaon at the same time as the perfect prep - they're cheaper than anywhere else

I can't believe I'm saying this, but we're already talking about when to plan our NEXT BABY!!!! After the crash c section the thought of either being pregnant or having another baby made me feel physically sick, but after only 4 weeks we're talking about trying again when we get married on 30th November!!!!

It took us ten months to conceive Freddie so we're thinking that November is a good starting point!

MENTAL!!!!

Thanks hun, I've ordered them. She screams blue murder towards the end of the bottle and I assume its wind related.

As for trying for a baby, I was adamant I would not have another baby too but I'm coming round to the idea lol I'm glad for you xx

No worries at all! I actually batch make my bottles - and make 4 at a time - all with very hot water so the powder dissolves properly and any supposed bacteria from the powder is killed off. I then leave them to cool down sufficiently and store them in the fridge until I need them. I use all 4 within 12 hours and although the formula tub states you should make each bottle fresh, so many friends that I know have always and continue to do it this way - it's so much easier for me and JJ - I know he appreciates only having to wait about 45 seconds for a bottle at 4am when he is very hungry!

No problems so far and I have a much happier baby - I love comfort milk!

Ha ha! It not mental at all! I feel like I want talk about baby number 2 soon as well! I always said I'd wait 3-5 yrs for the next one but as I see Trey growing so quickly cant wait to do it all again! Although I was in soo much discomfort for the last few months of pregnancy I actually miss the anticipation and the excitement as well as having bubs all to myself!! Haven't told oh yet tho, he'll have a nervous breakdown lol

After having Rian and the traumatic labour i was like NO WAY.
