Sorry to hear you are still infected, i know exactly how you are feeling. My wound wouldnt heal because i was allergic to the catgut used to stitch me internally, they became external stitches in the end as my body pushed them out! Once they were removed and another double dose of ab's i finally healed. I had 10 lots of ab's in different combinations.

Have you had your wound checked for stitches? did they give you a swab?

p.s. because of all of the ab's youve been taken you should get some yakult or whatever is on offer to help with the good bacteria you need, the last thing you want right now is thrush or something ontop of the infection! x

I had swab taken the first time i went which showed 2 different bugs so had 2 different lots of antibiotics. No ones really checked my stitches and i have a knot at the end which is really bugging me and not disdolving im seeing the nurse tommorow so will get her to check that stitch. Its really getting to me now i just want to feel like me again x

Yes do get it checked, if youve had that many antibiotics there has to be a reason for it now. I know exactly how you are feeling, its really horrible - but you will get there, honest!

Hi ladies,

Quick question, do any of you use the aptamil comfort milk and if so how do you rate it? Harrison is still having issues with his wind, mainly on a night time. No matter how hard i try he will not give up his wind at night, and he has so much i can hear it in his guts bubbling :(

He's already on infacol and colief. I've changed his bottles to the new comfort tommee tippee bottles and tried loads of different winding positions all to no avail.

So i'm left with changing his formula. I was thinking about changing to the aptamil comfort as he's on aptamil stage one at the min. I just wanted to know is it worth it and does it work?

Sorry hun, can't help with the milk because I'm using cow and gate but what are the new tommee tippee bottles like? Was thinking about investing in some xx

Ps it's a constant battle with wind

Emma have you tried dr browns bottles?

We used to tommee tippee ones and found that Trey was very windy, he'd bring it up but he'll have loads throughout the day/ night. When he fed he gulped and I could hear the wind bubbling in his tummy. All of that has stopped now with his new bottles, I highly recommend them.

Hey hun

The bottles are great! We have one that for some reason keeps exploding on us, not sure why must just be a faulty bottle as the other 5 are fine.

There a bit time consuming to clean but i think there working which is the main thing. I dare not stop using them for fear of him suffering all day too!

I bought mine from boots, a pack of 4 for £23.99 then i went back and bought an additional 2.

I did consider getting the Dr browns bottles but from what i could see the new tommee tippee bottles are the same as the Dr browns i.e the little air vent tube thingy.

What is the difference between the 2?

Emma I promise you there is a difference!!! The doc brown bottles have changed my life!! Them and the tommee tippee perfect prep!!!

Although the tommee tippe bottles have a vent the air still goes down the teat into babba's mouth. With the doc brown bottles there is a tube inside the bottle which filters the air (no idea how) back into the bottle rather than the mouth.

I only bought two but am def getting more. Freddie is def much much happier and I couldn't speak highly enough about them!!!! Xxx

This is why i'm confused, you see the bottles i have also have the tube inside. I have these ones...

I'm so confused as i don't really see the difference other than the name! lol All this bottle business is confusing! Surely as there both similar they would work in a similar fashion?

Also i've been thinking he seems to gulp down his milk. I have him on size 2 teats as the size ones were just to slow for him and he was falling to sleep before finishing. I'm now thinking maybe i should put him back on size 1 teats and just feed him more often?

It's gonna be a killer but i hate seeing him in pain :(

Jolly - please can u post a link to the bottles you have??? The perfect prep is amazing!!! Have to agree with you there!!!

Thanks hun x

Emma - we're still using size 1 teats. It encouraged her to guzzle using size 2 xx

At you referring to the tommee tippeee ones?

I actually didn't know that they did them with the the same tube thingy's inside. It may do the same trick, I find the teat better on dr browns too.

I changed my little girl to c&g comfort and it was the best she had ever fed, she was so relaxed and just lay there beautifully! I had to change again though as she had an allergy to the protein in cows milk and is now on a prescription formula but the comfort was fab.
We use Dr Browns bottles, if you use the comfort milk you will need a size 2 teat anyway as its so much thicker

Hey these are the ones we have. Yep tommee tippee now do the vented bottles too...

They work as you can see the bubbles popping out the top of the tube thingy! I was gonna say the only difference i can see is the size of the teat. Which i don't think h has a problem with, he takes in the whole teat not just the nipple and he latches to it almost like a breastfed baby, bottom lip curled out cheeks full and not pinched etc etc

I think i'm gonna try changing him back to size 1. He does gulp it down far too quick. The comfort bottles actually came with size 1 teats so i'll just change them back x

Thank you ladies

I feel a little more in control again now.

My plan is to change back to size 1 teats. If they don't help then change to the comfort milk (using size 2 teats allowing for thicker formula)

If that doesn't help then i'm sit in the corner and pull my hair out! Lol :D

I got mine from Amaon at the same time as the perfect prep - they're cheaper than anywhere else

I can't believe I'm saying this, but we're already talking about when to plan our NEXT BABY!!!! After the crash c section the thought of either being pregnant or having another baby made me feel physically sick, but after only 4 weeks we're talking about trying again when we get married on 30th November!!!!

It took us ten months to conceive Freddie so we're thinking that November is a good starting point!

MENTAL!!!!
