***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Good luck for your run, Jolly. Hope the weather's ok for you. Let us know how it goes.

Poor you & your neck, Amy. Can you get to a chiropractor or anything? Hope you're not in too much pain.

We went out for dinner with our triathlon club. It was in a pub at the top of a massive hill. Sometimes I was literally pushing the pram up vertically it was so steep! Got a good workout at least! E was really good but took ages to get to sleep as everything was too exciting. It was cold out last night so got to wrap her up in her all in one bear suit... she looked so cute!

Been trying to reply to this thread since 9am and kept failing fx!

Hiya PP good to see you :) the puppys are fab with her the boxer is so protective but a bit of a bugger as she won't settle unless we are together she's always been like that though she's a real nervous dog, the staff is not bothered in the slightest he likes toddlers best they are the right height for licking! Libby lives them she's just stares and smiles at them.

Daisy is soooo cute and we have serious hair envy!!

Well last night was good by our standards! First wake up at 1am then 3.30 then 6 and up at 7.30 :)

Just trying to get Libby to have a miny snooze as she was rudely awoken from her afternoon nap by a huuuuggggggeeeeeee poop, it was daddy's first poopy nappy since they've changed he was not impressed lol

At lunchtime today we had porridge and melon, random I know we have some porridge left to use so thought we'd do it that way, worked really well, she ate a lot of the porridge and gave the melon a right good gumming think it was nice on her gums as it was out of the fridge.

Don't want to speak to soon but think I've installed phase 1 of routine change!

Bottle, bit of a fuss but she was shattered, 3oz not huge amount but more than last week! (None) upstairs jammies on, back down cuddle and play for 5minutes boob, she dozed off popped her in her for bag, upstairs cuddle and twinkle twinkle on bed, in crib music box on and not a peep! Straight to sleep :) :) :)
OH is fishing not sure what to have to eat? Fancy curry but don't know decent takeaway.

Evening ladies

How are you all?

Jolly how did the run go Hun? Xx

Well last night was uneventful, little bugger slept through til 3.30am for his dad, then woke up for the day at 7.45am, unbelievable!

We've had a less than exciting day, just done a tab bit of shopping. Went for lunch with the OH and the boys, went to see my parents, home bath and bed for little one, eldest is watching a film and I'm about to shave my OH hair off. He has lovely curly hair, I love it but he hates it and so makes me shave it off, I feel like crying every time I do it! I had hoped H would have his dads curly hair, but so far it looks to be straight.

H has Been in bed since 7.30, here's hoping for another settled night!

Night night to all you ladies and lovely little bubas :D xxx

Hey ladies, anyone wanna shed some light on my situation.. lol. Grace has her two front teeth through & they didnt seem to cause her much pain, and when they did teething granules did the trick..

but now shes teething again, its a top side tooth & teething granules, gel, paracetamol, teething toys, teething dummies and even a frozen tea towel (i read it online) isnt working!

she screams and screams and nothing will settle it..
/
has anyone got ideas

Had another Rubbish bedtime for Evan. Half an hour of screaming. Really struggled to rock him cos my neck and shoulder are so sore.

Anyway bedtime for me. Just watched some of the x factor and its pretty much sent me to sleep, I remembered why I don't bother watching it anymore.

Sending sleepy dust to the babies. Don't mind if Evan wakes early tomorrow cos i can watch the F1!

Thanks ladies!!

The run was bloody hard work, I've never been particularly fit so did train for this 5k but I totally screwed up my strategy and went hell for leather during the first km and burnt out!! Oh well!! I spent the race reflecting on what happened with Freddie and I feel like this race was my way of saying thank you to the neonatal unit that looked after him. I finally feel at peace with it all so it was an awesome thing for me to do for myself, as well as for the unit.

Absolutely HUGE thank you to everyone that sponsored me. It's easier to ignore the pleas for sponsorship than it is to log on and donate so I am massively grateful.

The only downer of the event was that my oh has been struggling with his asthma and last night had a very dodgy stomach so we agreed he wouldn't run. We were supposed to be doing it together and he's gutted :-(

On a total high now and the route was incredible. It was on the beach at bournemouth and incorporated the pier- we all had flashing armbands and it was quite a sight :-)

Thank you again, you guys have been such a huge support through my pregnancy and now and it's touching that you all give time to see us all through Our difficult times as well as share the funny and exciting times.

Love you my pf ladies <3 xxx

It was oh's turn to do the night feed last night and T slept from 9.30ish right through till 7.30!!! Not fair!!

Oh was fab today and was totally in charge so I had a nice lil break.

I did Zumba for the first time in over a year and it was fab! I know ill be so sore tomorrow but it'll be worth it when I'm back into to my size 10's :) It'll be 2 days a week now and I'm looking forward to getting fit again.

Went to asda home and went a bit mad on bed linen towels and frames! Spent over £100 which is very naughty but with this month being my last pay before smp only, I think we deserved a treat!

As its my night I really hope T sleeps till at least 4am!

Hope you all get good nights sleep

Xxxxxxx

Jolly- you did really well and for such a good cause, well done Hun. :)

Harry's up at least 3 or 4 times in the night. I doubt he will ever sleep through. I get so upset over how tired I am sometimes that I have to give myself a firm telling off! "Chin up and get on with it!"

Had a lovely day yesterday. Went for lunch with my two friends who haven't got children. I'm the first out are little group who's had a baby. We had a love catch up and H loved the attention off them :).

Today we are going to walk to the in laws. The sun is shining so we're going to make the most of the nice weather while we can.

Harry had porridge and fruit for his breakfast this morning and loved every mouthful :)

Hope everyone's had a nice weekend. :)

Morning Ladies & Babies!

Wow, lots to catch up on...hope everyone is well this morning?? :-)

Had a superb weekend so far...a lovely night in with DH on Friday night...up and out yesterday for a birthday / anniversary celebration at a really exclusive and utterly fabulous hotel/restaurant...the food was AMAZING :-)

This morning we gave Joshie his first bottle at 06.00am, then all got togged up for a sunrise walk along the river at the nearby marina - it was beautiful watching the sun rise over a very misty river. Back for bacon rolls and copious amounts of tea - bliss!

Not much else planned for the day...hot bubble baths and back into PJ's I think!

Hope everyone has a good weekend and has a great Sunday! xxx

Morning ladies

Well done jolly, it sounds absolutely physically exhausting, but mentally it seems you've made peace with everything and said your thank yous. What a good cause too, you should be very pleased. Bet you feel sore this morning tho?! Lol xxx

Well OH took night shift again last night I got up with him this morning so OH could up on slep before work tomorrow. H slept through til 2am, had a shaky night at first with him waking up wittering, but he soothed himself and nodded back off.

I just had a complete melt down, H is so overtired and has usually napped by now but he's not having any of it. He got so worked up, and I couldn't sooth him so then I got worked up...needless to say we were both a crying mess. I had to wake OH up and hand him over. As soon as I handed him over he calmed down and started smiling! I felt like a failure, it's the first time he's had such a crying fit and me not been able to calm him :( all is ok for now tho, he's in his bouncer playing.

Weaning question ladies! When do you start to introduce breakfast, lunch and dinner? So far H is only having lunch. Just wondered how long I had to wait before introducing the other meals. I'm clueless can't you tell! Lol

Also I'm going to morrisons for veg for sunday dinner, thinking I might make some other purées for H to try. I'm thinking sweet potato, and may be swede and parsnip mix?!

Xx

Morning all,

Well done jolly! Do you have a link to your sponsorship page?

Shocking night here after such a fab start! She woke up.constantly and would only sleep on me, her second tooth feels like it's about to pop through, so we are all shattered today, popped her in her cot for her nap so me and OH could have a cuddle :o and she's still shouting telling me this isn't where I have my morning nap!! Think I'm going to have to get her in a minute.

Glad you've had a lovely weekend Chezza enjoy a lazy Sunday.

Not sure what's on the cards for today? Lazy one here too watch f1 and chill.

Hi ladies. Hope u r all well. Jack has been a little angel this weekend. Made things nice and relaxed. I have a question for u all. How much r u buying ur LO for christmas? I was only going to get jack a couple of presents. But I'm wondering whether it's enough? Then I feel guilty for not getting him lots. But then I think he won't really understand. What do u ladies think? X

I'm only going to get Libs a couple of bits for Christmas BN, she doesn't need a great deal and will get spoilt rotten anyway.
Just managed to get her down for a nap took 20 mins to be able to put her down once she was asleep, poor babe :( she's not grumpy whilst she's awake but that pesky tooth seems to really bother her when she's asleep.

Roast beef for dinner with cauli and broccoli cheese, yorkies, roasties and carrots. :)

Progress here! After a half hour screaming fit to go to sleep at 7pm last night, he only woke at 2.40 and then not again until 7.40. I haven't had a 'one-nighter' for weeks. FX it long continues. Bit annoyed though cos I slept crap cos my neck and shoulder are still really sore.

We are loving BLW. I'm just giving him a little of what I'm eating (apart from cake, chocolate etc). We went shopping today and had pub lunch. He sat on my lap and 'ate' a chip, some ham, carrot and yorkshire pudding. He has taken to BLW so well. Only problem is when he gets bored with 'eating' he keeps trying to steal my cutlery from my hands!

Had a bit of a scream before bed tonight again. It took 3 attempts on the boob to get him to sleep.

I'm not getting Evan much for christmas. 1. he'll get spoiled rotten and 2. he's too young to understand and we can't afford to go silly. Probably a bit bah humbug but when he's older and understands it will be different.

We're not getting Harry too much for Christmas either. We've bought him loads this year and so it's not like he hasn't had stuff. We both have big families so he's going to be getting lots off them. I've picked up a few bits and bobs for him but we're not getting him one main present.

H is loving having breakfast as well as tea. A week or so and I'll then introduce lunch and I'll be a bit more adventurous with what I give him.

I do have one question though - might be a bit of a daft one... Can you freeze avocado and bananas? My mum works for the co-op and bought home with her quite a few avocados that go out of date tomorrow. I was going to purée it and freeze it but as I've only ever eaten that and banana fresh I don't know if you can or not? Any advice?

Asked my avocado question on fb - thanks for the reply chezza :)

Evening All!

Just enjoyed a Tuna Arrabiata Pasta bake...now having a well deserved glass of red :-)

Sounds like great progress Amy - fingers crossed for you! Sounds like Evan is doing well with BLW! We haven't ventured past carrots / melon / apple sticks yet, but Joshie seems to enjoy it!

BN - We bought Joshie a V Tech Baby Walker (on sale at Argos!) - as his "main" present, then 4 smaller presents - 2 x push and go cars, a shape sorter and a musical steering wheel. We are also giving him a box on Christmas Eve, which will have a pair of Christmas PJ's, a Christmas DVD, Christmas Book...and something else...not sure what yet lol. We didn't see the point in going mad - he will no doubt be more interested in the wrapping paper. Plus, my parents / our friends will probably spoil him rotten too!

xxx
