***April & May Mummy & Baby***

This is the only place that I would admit this but I had a horrendous day with jack yesterday. Jack, the baby that never cries, cried ALOT yesterday!! He would have 3/4 of a bottle , I'd wind him, and then he would scream as if in pain ?? Nothing would soothe him, I tried calgel, teething granules, calpol and then eventually some squishy mummy cuddles and he would fall to sleep instantly. Obviously after the first time of crying i didn't keep giving him medicine!! But he is normally really good at falling asleep, in his swing chair , once he has finished his bottle. Think he only finished one bottle yesterday. The others he was leaving like 60ml, out of 180ml. Is was like he was soooo tired that he was angry at me!! And then for the last 2 nights, from 7-9 he has just been a devil child. I feel horrible for saying it but he has been really difficult. And then the penny finally dropped for me last night when led in bed! I think he is showing me he wants to comeup to bed! We normally feed him at 7 and let him nap in his swing chair till 10pm. We then bring him up with us as he normally sleep really well and settled downstairs. But I think he actually wants to come up in the quiet. So tonight we r gonna try just that.

Put on a plus side, when I did bring him to bed. I fed him, put him in his cot , he settled instantly, and has so far slept from 10pm till 6.45! But omg he doesn't half move and wriggle!! He has done 2 x 45 degree turns during the night!! When I went to a wee at 2.30 am he was width ways. So I turned him back. And then OH has just got up for work and just turned him back, again!!

Anyway sorry for the long post, I'm off to my mums this afternoon and I can't wait. Xxx

I hope Jack has a good night's sleep now that you're putting him to bed earlier, Brandnew.
We've just put E in her big girl's cot next to my side of the bed as she's outgrown her basket, but she also turns herself round so she's sleeping widthways! Little monkey.

Thankfully had an alright sleep with E. Feeding at 4, she started crying when I put her back & I thought that was my night done for, but when I picked her up, she did a massive burped and filled her nappy! She seemed wide awake after the nappy change but happily sat in her cot in the dark chatting to herself for a bit until she dropped off.
She woke full of beans at 7 & we're just feeding now before we're off into town. It's a bank holiday here today & we're doing a race. I'm running 6k then OH is doing the 10k & we're both doing the relay babysitting event ;)

Morning Ladies & Babies!

BB - I do fancy a night out, but I'm not sure if it would be a waste of time...would worry that LO would wake up and mum wouldn't be able to settle him again. I'm probably being silly though...he spends quite a lot of time with my mum and he would probably be fine! Not sure I have the energy to go out dancing though lol...a nice meal and a glass of wine in a nice restaurant would do me just fine!

BN - this is the one place you can come to, to get everything off your chest! I've had some terrible days with JJ...he has come across as so bad tempered and angry, I've wondered if something was really wrong with him - but the next day he can be such an angel and so content...you just need to learn to take a lot of deep breaths!! Certainly sounds like he is telling you he wants to go to bed earlier though. JJ now goes to bed at 18.30pm - 18.45pm. He then usually self settles within about 15 mins...but there are occasions he will scream the house down for extra cuddles first.

Sophie...seriously now, where do you get your energy from!!! Lol :-)

Off to sing and sign this morning, then going to see my parents. It's my mums bday today...cant wait to give her pressies from JJ :-)

Have a great day ladies xxx

Had a crape night :( up more times than I care to remember. One very very tired mummy today.

Not sure what was wrong with him, 4 month sleep regression? How the hell do you ladies cope? And how long does it last for? Lol

Xx

Morning,

Off to baby group this morning to meet with some of the sling group to have a look and see what I fancy.

Up a fair few times since 2 I saw every hour, think it's tummy ache as last time she was arching her back and trumping. She's not had a poo for a few days so think that might be it. However she's had a bit if a lie in woke at 7,15 Fed fell back to sleep and has just woken up. She's just laid in her crib trumping and playing.

BN - glad Jack slept, once you've put Libbys jammies on she kicks off till you take her to bed. Trying to change that slightly so I can leave the house but she knows what she wants.

I can't wait for a night out! Booked our girls Christmas night for the 4th Jan for cocktails, food and a bit of a boogie can't wait! Not danced since July last year in a tent at bugjam in my wellies lol

Right madams wanting me see you in a bit.

After going back to sleep around 6am T was up from about 7.15am moaning again! I'm going to be a very grumpy mummy today, I've just had a strong coffee so hope it helps perk me up!

Chezza You've got to feel ready to go out otherwise, you are right , you won't enjoy yourself!

BN T is the same will scream for no reason for 30 mins or so and will then be all smiles! Some days it'll be all day and I sometimes get really anxious if he has one of his fits while we are out or at someone's house, I worry people will think i'm crap mother for not being able to soothe him.

Off to a new baby group today then going to see my month old nephew.

Have a good day ladies.

Xxxxxxxx

Freddie's the same, smiles one minute grizzling the next - he's so grizzly and shouty today!! I can't seem to keep him entertained and he's only ever truly content when feeding, sleeping or we're out- so off christmas shopping!! I get my last full pay packet (I get an awesome 6months) and will be so skint when it drops down to statutory especially with the wedding so I'm going to so it all now!! I may even wear my christmas jumper to do it!! Hahaha!!!!

Have a nice time with your mummy chezza!!

Emma- great that you have some kind of action plan even if not what you expected xxx

No sing and sign for us this morning...Joshie decided to have an absolute mental when we were about to leave!! 25 mins to calm him down...so just off to mums now with a big tube of teething gel!!

Lol Jolly...have fun shopping!! xx

I had a better night. Evan went down (after his usual screaming) at 7. Woke at 12 for a feed and then 6.20. Unfortunately he decided that 6.20 was wake up time. I took him downstairs and went back up at 7.30, put him in his cot on his front (which he baby humped - best description I can give lol) and then went to sleep. So I took full advantage and went back to sleep myself. He woke again at 9.20.

Took him to musical monkeys today - seeing as he wasn't napping. Lots of singing and dancing and had some bubbles at the end.

Saw the beginnings of a tooth coming through as well, explains the flood of dribble.

Expecting a call from the doc later. Not sure if the teething explains Evan's symptoms or if it is silent reflux. The gaviscon is really an arse to give him as I have to express and bottle feed a bit then on to boob.

He is currently napping after sleepy boob. Seems to be the only thing that gets him to sleep in the day so I'm going with it. I'm just giving him anything (apart from biscuits and othe naughty things) to try now

The thought of weaning doesn't seem so daunting now I've had chance to sleep on it lol

I've decided I'm not gonna use the baby rice or porridge, as I've read things like gluten, wheat, rye and oats shouldn't be used before 6 months?

So I've cracked open our babycook machine and I'm currently steaming carrots for him to have at dinner times. This machine is brilliant. It looks like a blender only it has a water compartment and steams the fruit/veg. You then tip the food out the basket which is just inside the blender bit and it then blends the food, scoop it into ice tray and it's ready to freeze. It also defrost and reheats so no need to leave food out over night, unless I'm going out!

How long do you ladies stick with one food before trying another?

Xxxx

Afternoon :)

Success at the sling demo I've fallen in love with "sleepy nico" carrier just waiting to hear back from them. Soooo comfy didn't even know I had her on me.

Madam is zonked for how long nobody knows forgot to check the click when she went down but she'll wake up when she wants to anyway.

Got a stew on the hob for dinner left it too late to use slow cooker today.

Well there was a huge bang from upstairs raced up and woke madam who was still all snuggly, she had a nice big feed gave me some huge gummy smiles and fell back to sleep. She's still snuggled on my chest

Went to a new baby group which didnt start great, there were 3 other mums and it felt really awkward!! The other ones I go to there's at least 6 so you can just blend in normally! They were nice enough but I felt like I was invading there space! Just when I decided I wouldn't come back a lady from the nursery came in and told us to come to the story and singing with the toddlers, T absolutely loved it! Loved the stories and the noises that were made and really loved the singing, I think he recognised from when I sing to him ha!

There were lots more mummies there and they seemed a bit more welcoming!

Saw my nephew who is still so teeny compared to T. He stared at him for a bit and touched him a little too, I think he was amazed at something smaller than him lol

He had a teeny tantrum this afternoon but has otherwise been really good.

My mum bought us up some dinner so I don't need to cook, yay!

Bath and early night for me, Oh is putting T to bed.

Xxx

Saw the doc and she is going to prescribe Ranitidine for Evan but said I have to use it with Gaviscon as well?

He also self settled tonight! We didn't see the doc until 5.45 and he was tired then so got him back, bathed and fed and put him in his cot. He babbled for a little while then went quiet. Must have worn him out today.

Early bed for me tonight, just hope he lets me sleep in til 7 (with the obligatory two wakes ups)

Morning Ladies & Babies,

TGIF!! Looking forward to spending a nice weekend with DH (hopefully!) - its been a really busy week and I am shattered after not having a great nights sleep for too many days in a row!

Had 2 withheld calls at 03.32 and 03.57 this morning - who calls at that bloody time!!! Then LO woke up and started blowing raspberries...it was echo-ing around the house via the monitor. I just drifted back off and DH started snoring...so I was pretty much awake from 03.32am - 05.15am...dropped off and my alarm went off at 06.00am. Yawn....

Today, we are doing sweet FA!!! Waitrose are delivering my shopping this morning...aside from that, its a chill out day with my boy :-)

What's everyone else up to...? xxx

Hey Hun. I'm popping into work!! But only to shop! As an employee of marks and spencer we already get 20% discount. But now and again they send out to employees, friends and family vouchers. These r vouchers that I can give to anyone I wish, and then they too will get 20% off their shopping , excluding food. And they then usually send a 10% off voucher which I can use as well as my staff discount. But this time they have sent cardholders a 20% off voucher. So any clothes or toys that I want for jack will 40% cheaper!!! So I am going in to see what they had and then tomorrow I am taking in the OH so he can pay for it!!! See I'm not silly!! And apart from popping into wilko's on the way home, we r doing nothing. Oh apart from washing, drying, ironing and cleaning my kitchen. Hope everyone is ok. And like u chezza I'm so glad it's the weekend as my OH is NOT working for once! Xxx

Morning ladies. Tired again. Harry's nights are getting worse :( yawn.

Today I want a run out to babies r us and then this afternoon I plan on doing nothing but we'll see how that works out lol x

Morning!

Trey was up at 2.50am this time, I had to take him into the living room so not to wake oh up, he starts work at 6am! He was back to sleep at 4am and up again at 7am. I wonder of he's sleeping too much in the day? He'll usually have a late nap so I'm going try and keep him awake today to hopefully let him go back to his old sleeping routine, I'm sooo tired!

We're also having a pyjama day, i'm making some Caribbean fish for dinner which I'm going to cook in a bit and then its catch up tv for the rest of today :)

Oh will bring a nice bottle of rosé home later and we'll watch a film once T is in bed.

Bliss!!

Xxxxxxx

Morning ladies,

Had another rubbish night here too! Harrison has taken to moaning/crying in his sleep :/ not sure heat that is all about, maybe teeth?

I was woken by him moaning at 12.45, he then dropped off but started moaning again at 1.30, then bottle at 2.30, moaning again at 5.30 and again at 6.30 then up for the day at 7.15! I am not use to these wake up calls. I so want my baby back that slept through til 4.30, fed then slept again til 7.30.

I don't really have anything planned today. At the min I'm still in my PJs! I might nip to my sisters later and pop to morrisons to get some bits for tea.

I'm so glad it's Friday today, it means it's OH turn to get up with H. I still have to wake OH up mind as he'll sleep through anything, but at least I can just thump him then roll back over.....can not wait!!!

Xxxx
