***April & May Mummy & Baby***

She stirred about 10 mins ago left her just gone up to check and she's gone back to sleep! Result.

Fx we are turning a corner.

Sorry MrsH I have no tips at all what works one day has zero effect the next day.
I've not changed anything at all that we've done since day one and now nothing works lol managed to boob her to sleep yesterday afternoon for the first time in ages (has only fell asleep on boob at bedtime and through the night)

Got my Christmas skipper socks on today as my ankles got cold in my slippers

V&B - rubes is waking now out of habit so I'm encouraging her to settle herself during the night (she does it for her naps). She doesn't wake up crying, it's just a tiny whinge so now we leave her longer and don't get her out of the cot. In the end she does
go back to sleep. So we just pop the dummy in to encourage her. Now going to persevere with it xx

I know it's habit now sometimes she will whine and go straight back off other times the whine gets louder so I get her so she doesn't wake oh up. She doesn't have a dummy her dummy is me, she's back off to sleep within minutes of me putting her on boob.

She never parties or refuses to back to sleep I just need to help her learn how to settle herself.

Evan nearly fell asleep in the door bouncer! His head kept dropping, then he lifted it bounced a bit more and then dropped it again. I got him out, put him in the cot and now he is napping. Best money spend ever (well clubcard points).

Now to get on with the mountain of washing from our week away...

V&B, please dont be disheartened. My eldest was a horrible sleeper, he sleeps through now. Some babies just need that reassurance mummy is still there and Mark doesnt have a dummy either so its me.
I know its difficult but it wont last forever. Its normal for babies not to self settle(they are all different!).

Poor mite is knackered again is crying her little heart out, think teeth and cold are really bothering her given a dose of calpol and popped her in her swing.

Will go for a walk if this doesn't work but can't see her fighting it that long.

She's just so upset she doesn't know what to do. Hate seeing her upset she's not a crier so throws me completely :(

Re sleep...just remembered that Joshie didn't nap at all yesterday - very unlike him as he is usually a good napper - and he had a crap nights sleep - I know he was constipated too, but I definitely think the two are connected!

Well, he has had 3 ginormous VERY stinky poops so far today...the nappies haven't let me down yet - somehow!! I love Kiddicare nappies!! :-)

Emma - hope you feel much better soon hun x

Love the socks V&B!! x

Thanks knopk I know it won't last forever and really don't mind her waking for feeds if she wants/needs them it's the hourly wake ups to resettle that are killing me, the annoying part is she can settle herself sometimes.

Libster had 30 mins in the buggy this afternoon I walked for an hr and 1/2 she should have a little snooze on our way to his mums in a bit.

I got Rubes a Clevamama pillow and use it all the time. She really like it and it helps with the flat head apparently. Got it off eBay hun xx

Oh dear. I just got back from 2 hours out for my pelvic floor repair class (these Germans!). I left a happy baby & husband & came back to baby screaming & OH in tears! No idea what happened yet as he left the room when I came back to get away from the screaming. Managed to calm her down before feeding her. Very strange.

Hope everyone else is having better nights.

I'm in for a long night :( fed her but she's still crying. i don't know what's wrong with her...tummy, teeth...?
Poor baby. Hope she doesn't keep me up all night. I could really do with some sleep.

Poor soul sophie hope she's better soon.

Sleepy dust to all the babes

Oh Sophie...bless you xx

As knopk said, would a little calpol be any use as a last resort?? Hope Ella settles for you soon.

Sleepy dust to all babies xxxx

Chezza- hooray for JJ and his poooooo!!!!

Sophie J- I find that sometimes with my oh- Freddie cried when he started to feed him earlier and as soon as I took over he was fine- I think often (not always) daddy isn't as patient or as calm as mummy!

Everyone else I really hope those babies sleep well for you tonight- and remember they have to sleep at some point!!! <3

Oh, and I'm totally down with the Xmas getup!!!

Oh jolly I love those!! Jeez I'm all in a tizzy about Christmas. I'm really excited as obviously it's Jacks first Christmas and he will be nearly 9 months old. And then I get really depressed thinkin about how soon after Christmas I will be going avo to wrk!! The 4th January! I'm dreading going back!! It actually reduces me to tears as I'm sure it does with other mummies. I so wish we was lucky enough for me not to have to work. But unfortunately, what with buying a bigger house and general bills, needs must!! God I hate work so much too. So it's not like I even enjoy it. Sorry for the depressing post it's just I needed to get that out. On the other hand jack has been a bit cheerier today. Yesterday the poor little mites teeth were driving him mad but today things have settled for a bit. But I now had a cold that I bet I end up giving to jack But im trying everything in my power to prevent it.

Hope all those gorgeous babies r ok. I think we need some updated pictures on here as I'm not on Facebook to see any!!! Xxx

Hahaha yes bn he's in his shorts- has skinny little legs!!!

I dread going back to work too- gives me such a sinking feeling :-( x

Thanks for the support ladies. Actually managed to get E off to sleep by 11. She must have been exhausted from all her crying. I know what you mean about OH's not being as patient with them. I cane home to find OH had E on the sofa on her own screaming. Apparently he had pushed her round in her pram for 40 mins, but she did eventually stop crying when I picked her up.
Glad I didn't have to resort to any calpol. I really hate not knowing what's wrong though.

I'm not going back to work until next Sept but am already dreading it.
A girl from my antenatal class has just gone back to work full time with her son at 4 months as she earns more than her husband. She still has to get up to do the nightfeeds as she's breastfeeding & at work she has to cycle 5 mins to a special room to express milk every 4 hours as that's the closest room suitable on the complex she works on. How shot does that sound?!

Am just feeding E. Really hope she goes down ok afterwards. We've got our baby massage class in the morning.

I second the photo updates of babies too please. Love seeing your scrummy little ones!

Night everyone
