I'm not sure if I've just had my first one or not or if it was just bleeding from my coil or not. Will have to wait and see what happens next month.

I've just fed E & put her to bed awake. Am trying to get her to self settle now & not just fall asleep on the boob. I'm also going to try & get her to go down sleepy but awake for daytime naps. Has anyone got any tips or advise for me?

If you find out let me know! I've decided if Evan needs boob to sleep that is what he gets - for my sanity and for him to get quality sleep xxx

Sorry sophie no clues here.

Here's madam having a play earlier

I'm trying this too. As soon as she rubs her eyes during the day I take her upstairs and put her in the cot (dummy in) then I turn her musical seahorse on. Today she lay in her cot talking to herself, spat dummy out but when she was ready for her nap she shouted for her dummy and way away listening to her seahorse. It's a funny one. I know they are all different. She always cried when I tried to put her in the cot before but since getting tough during the night she's going down better. Just keep going, that's what I'm doing. Even now when she's down and is waking constantly due to her cold, I just pop the dummy back in, rub her tummy and put the seahorse on xx

Well she's down and I'm watching bake off :)

Lets see how long for tonight

I cant get JJ to nap in his cot for love nor money! He sleeps on a big cushion that I originally bought for my Westie, lol!! He wasn't interested in it though, so after a good wash, we tried JJ on it (it's like a poddle pod) - and he naps really well on it most days now.

I've probably made a rod for my own back not persisting with a cot (I did try for weeks and weeks!) - especially as he is starting nursery in 8 weeks...eeeeek!! xx

Can you try cushion inside the cot so he gets used to it?

Surely nursery will have cushions on the floor for naps?

Libby is just a pain with naps she will either fall asleep easily on our bed in her cot or she will fight it with every inch of her being!
Easiest way at the minute is buggy so I'm doing lots of walking, burning off that baby weight lol every cloud :)

Mrs Hope:what do you do if she starts crying though? I tried to get E to sleep in her basket in our room where she sleeps at night for her daytime nap but she fused for a bit & then got more worked up. I tried going up & calming her 3 times without lifting her out but it didn't work, so went for the tried & tested walk with the pram.
Am not sure how to get her to go down in her basket & what to do when she wont settle.

Such a complicated business! At the moment I either bounce her on the Pezzi ball, put her in her swing or take her for a walk in the pram.

Am off to bed now. Have a good night, ladies!

Sorry for broken msg she woke up made a little cry but has gone back off without me needing to move off the sofa :)

It's the length of naps we really struggle with 30 minutes is standard hoping as she gets more active we'll get longer easily
But tomorrows another day!

I tried that, but the little tinker can roll now - and he started to roll off it! I was worried he would roll straight into the bars :-( Thanks for the tip though xx

hmm, how big is the cushion vs the cot? I am sure he will eventually do it. My eldest slept on the mat at the nursery btw, not the cot. But they get so tired at the nursery, they normally conk out

Afternoon Ladies & Babies!

Had a busy one today - shopping, another nursery tour, cooking and lots of housework...lovely! /the sun has been shining all day though, which helps :-)

What have everyones periods been like since having LO? I had JJ on 29/04, no period in May, one in June, nothing in July, one in August, now "late" for my Sept...?? Slightly worried, but thinking that they are all out of sync anyway...?!?! Hmmmm......xxxx

Mine have been up the creek. I had 2 in July then didn't have one till September and they have been so heavy and painfull too x

Evening ladies - Just catching up!

Chezza I've STILL not had a period since having Rhys on the 28th April....don't know what the hell is going on! And I'm not BF as I know that can delay it a little longer! Hmmmm

I have a washer dryer & never use it as a dryer...tried it once & it was awful...my next washing had fluff all over it and the dry clothes smelt a bit weird? We are actually going to buy a separate tumble dryer!

x

Hi girls not been on much today as been feeling very poorly. My tummy is very bloated and I've had (TMI) sickness and diahorrea all day. Hope it's just a bug. On the other hand jack has been happy and wanting to play , when I just needed him to be chilled and tired!! Always the way. Hope I'm better by tomorrow. It's hard work trying to look after jack 100% when I'm in the loo the whole time. Didn't even have enough energy to have our hour play time. Managed ten minutes before I had to dash off!! Feel like I've neglects the poor little mite today. Hope everyone is well. Xx

Morning Ladies & Babies,

LO slept from 18.45pm - 06.00am thank goodness...hopefully back into the old routine. I think I know why he was so unsettled those 2 nights...this morning we have a little tooth poking through at the bottom :-) Bless him.

Off to Water Babies swimming lessons this morning, It clashes with his nap time though - am hoping he doesn't get cranky!

Thanks for the feedback re: periods ladies...I guess I'll just hang in there and see what happens!!

BN - hope you are feeling much better today x

Have a good day everyone xxx
