***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Hi ladies, my vision is still blurry but better. I ended up at A&E in the morning because Mark scratched my eye badly - it was dark and i didnt see his hand coming. Have scratches on retina and antibiotics for a week, fx it clears up. Its very painful!

Afternoon ladies :)

Well what a day! I spent a good few hours shopping got H some lovely bits. Photos to follow :) in regards to winter wardrobe I've just got long legs and sleeve clothing, normal vest and long sleeved vest for those extra cold nights, 2.5 sleeping bag, couple of jumpers for those extra cold days, a full body winter coat thingy, wool hat and mits that my OHs nan knitted and a dressing gown for that time between bath and bed time :)

After that epic shopping trip I returned home to wait for J coming home from school. He came home in tears. Turns out my mums dog had been naughty and snook back out after being called in this morning. She had been locked out all day and the weather has been awful. I had to run round to rescue her, brought her to my house, dried her and feed her now I have 3 dogs running round the house causing trouble!! I have a fairly large house but with 3 fully grown dogs it's left the house feeling rather small!!

Quick question ladies....harrison is no longer finishing his bottles. I'm lucky to get 3-4 oz down him when before he was drinking a full 6oz. I thought they were meant to drink more as they got older? Do you think maybe he needs bigger teats? He sometimes falls to sleep on the bottle but not all the time, so I'm not sure what's going on :/ lol

Xxx

For good measure here's a picture of Harrison licking his milk from his spoon! Lol haha xxx

I feel slightly better about the bruises on my boob from where Evan has pinched so hard now! Hope it heals quickly xx

Evan had his first taste of baby rice tonight. He seemed quite happy with it to start with then he pulled the universal 'what the hell is that' baby face! I think I made it too stodgy so will have another go tomorrow with less rice and more milk.

Probably a coincidence, but he has gone down without much of a fight tonight. He has been incredibly grumpy with the teething though and wore himself out at the baby group this morning.

Hoping to go to baby massage tomorrow - after the disaster that was last weeks attempt. Wish me luck!

Hopefully my door bouncer will arrive tomorrow as well - v excited :) xx

I'm probably tempting fate but Harrison is in bed, asleep!!

This is the earliest he has ever gone to bed, ever! I changed his routine I little, he had his 6pm feed and I would normally wait til about 8pm bath him then by the time he's ready he'd be ready for his 9pm bottle but by this time he would Be knackered and often fall asleep on the bottle or scream at me to put him down to sleep.

Anyway today he had his 6pm feed, in bath for 6.30 out, dried and dressed by 7pm and in bed a sleep by 7.30!! I am shocked to say the least. There is a good chance however that he may just be having a nap and still wake for his 9pm, if he does I just hope he goes back down for the night lol

Oh and I changed the teat on his last bottle, he drank the full 6oz and didn't spill a drop. So I'm thinking maybe that was the trouble.

Jeez this parenting malarkey is all trail and error!

Knopk hope your not in too much pain.

Emma, is that snowsuit from m&s? My H has the same one. My mum treated him last week. :) it's so soft.
Love some of the outfit you have. I've been buying H bots and pieces here and there, all ready for holiday! :) x

Tambo as you know I go thru the same with Trey! I'll always feed him every 3 hours - apart from at night when he sleeps thru - but out of the 6oz he usually drinks 3 comfortably then I have to force the other 3 lol!

He's still in 0-3 clothes and sometimes even those are too big lol I bought lots of summer stuff in 3-6 months that are just too big and now he'll never wear them, must keep for baby no. 2 lol

I'm actually looking forward to winter - I love cosy sleep suits and thick blankets, I'm always bloody sweating in this heat lol

I want to get him a dressing gown but I've never seen any, where do you get urs?

Xxxxx

Hiya, I got Scotts dressing gown from tesco. It's a grey me to you bear one, in lovely soft fleecy material x

Ouch! I've had major eye surgery in the past so I know how painful eye injuries can be, I hope it heals up fast, so bloody painful! I'd definitely try and make him wear mittens in bed lol x

Evening ladies!
Been an epic couple of days and nights, Santiago is being really difficult and not sleeping well, didnt go down til 10:30 lastnight with alot of screaming until then. The last few nights he falls asleep amd then wakes up 10mins later screaming. I sometimes get wind up but hes usually so good with wind, i dont think its that thats bothering him. His teeth seem fine at the moment too so i have been pulling my hair out.
On top of that, Lina has started waking for nightfeeds again, so i have had them tag teaming for feeds all night and i dont get any long periods of sleep. Cranky mummy.
They are both more demanding in the day too, and i get very cranky babies at least a couple of times a day. Santiago had the worst screaming fit i have ever witnessed yesterday and i dont even know why

On the plus side, they are also giggling alot more and showing real enjoyment in things.
This evening we stopped at a bar during our dog walk ( as you do in spain!) babies on laps. A lady passes with her dog, stops so it can play with our dog, santiago watches them, then just starts loudly giggling! It was so cute!
So i guess the unsettledness is due to a development phase.

Anyway.... 4 months old today!!!

They are so cute Nikki, and happy 4 months :)

Santiago sounds a bit like Evan - although he has been going to bed early, he will wake screaming soon after. Thankfully he hasn't done that tonight for the first time in a week fx.

Could be the dreaded leap and/or growth spurt and/or sleep regression.

Do they entertain each other much? xx

Lovely clothes btw, i am enjoying buying their autumn and winter wardrobe too! They are now in sleepsuits at bight and i got them smafolk ones... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Smafolk-Uni...e=UTF8&qid=1378843287&sr=1-5&keywords=smafolk. Love them so much i have ordered a few things from the same brand, some bodysuits and some velvet fleecy all in ones. I just love them because they are different. I find baby clothes and motifs on the highstreet really boring and always looking for anything a bit different. Anyone have any recommendations, please share! Xxx

Have you been trying to bottle feed them or have you got your OH to try? When I first tried with Evan he pushed it away cos he was looking for my boob and didn't want this non-boob thing near him. He gave in though so I can mix some expressed milk with his gaviscon. When DH feeds them I have to be out of the room xx

I had to rearrange JJ's jab...they didn't want to do it with him being poorly. So we are now having them done next Weds instead, the day we were supposed to start our Water Babies swim course :-( Bugger.

V&B - love Libby's slippers - so cute!

Knopk - youch - saw the photo on FB!! Wishing you a speedy recovery hun x

Amy - glad Evan seemed to enjoy his BR - you never know, he might give you a nice long sleep tonight - fingers crossed!

Emma - great haul! Hope H has another good night for you!

Joshie has been in bed since 19.30pm, but is coughing so much he actually sounds like he is in pain :-( Have given him a dose of calpol, but he keeps waking up...could be a long night for my LO.

I've been trying to find a list via google of a list of basic winter clothes that Joshie might need...no success so far. If anyone has one or comes across one, please send it my way! Definitely need a couple of snow suits though - love this one:

Off to bed...shattered!! Night ladies...sleepy dust to all babies xxx

I have actually tracked what Scott has drunk today in total and it's a grand total of 16oz, that's since 4:30 am. How the hell is he supposed to gain weight on that pathetic amount :(

They do pay much more attention to each other, yes, but they get more distracted by toys than each other. Hopefully once they are sitting, they will play together more.

I have been blaming santiagos behaviour on leaps etc, but to be honest, he has always been more tricky. Very needy baby. Lina is easy, sleeps easily, sits quietly without much attention, she even feeds easier and naps better. She will be a nightmare later on, i bet!

Oooh happy 4 months to the twins!

Hope little man gets better soon chezza
