***April & May Mummy & Baby***

Heya thank you for advice girls :D
I think it's just tummy ache. She was a bit windy but I can imagine all the food she had really stretched her newborn belly. (made a new thread about formula feeds...this feeding malarkey is hard lol)
I hand expressed and now boobs go hard a lot. I am honna express some tonight and pop in fridge just so she gets some BM top ups atleast.
Been chaos with feeding all day lol. I feel Rediculous not knowing how much she should have but I know it's all part of the parenting adventure lol. Xxx

Eliza today poor little lady was bringing up her feeds and hiccuping until 5:30am but settled on chest in the end x

Hello - can i butt in and ask a question please?!

I have a 7wk old who is just an insomniac at times, take this evening for example she has been awake since 4pm and is showing no signs of being sleepy at the moment. If she does fall asleep or even look drowsy she goes in her basket and her eyes ping open! How on earth do i get her to sleep - how do you get your lo's asleep?!

I have a 6 day old who is exactly the same she can be in a really deep sleep lying on me or oh but as soon as you lie her in the basket she pings awake! Midwife suggested putting one of my tops that I had been wearing down in the bottom of the basket so she can smell my scent but doesn't seem to be working so far!

Tambo, it is indeed easier to drink.from a bottle, i hope BF specialist can help. Its worth persevering to get him to latch as i found BFing becomes a doddle after 3 months (and easier by 6 weeks). And i would hate to pay for formula if i can help it.
Good luck hun, hope you find a solution. Well done for getting this far, you are doing a brilliant job!

J woke me at 4am for a feed...didn't feel too well at all and nearly fell back asleep in my rocking chair whilst holding him! Got up properly at 7am with a bad headache and hugely swollen tonsils :-( It's going to be a long day today...

Hope everyone else is ok...have a good day xxx

So I'm sat here with tears dripping off my chin, not because I'm sad but because I am so happy. I have Scott in my arms snoring peacefully and his head is so close to my face I can smell him without moving, I just love the smell of him so much, I wish I could bottle it and keep it forever. Babies just lose that newborn smell so fast :(

I just feel so in love. I am now complete. He is my last baby and I'm going to savour every second. Photograph every single different face he makes and spend every spare second in his company.

8 years ago I went to get sterilised and the doctor refused because my bmi was to high. At the time I was mad and ashamed, to fat to get sterilised! Yet now I could squeeze that doctors cheeks, give him a kiss and say thank you to my fat for preventing the op lol

Sorry for my waffle! I'm just loved up and happy and grateful!

Also, I had full intentions of mowing the front garden this morning but just heard the rain banging off my window  guess I'll just have to spend the extra time snuggling my precious little bundle of gorgeousness  xxx

Here I am right now cuddling my little dude :) xxx

Poor little sausage :-( But at least his bellybutton is looking better!

Have you tried a variety of different nappies..? I hear that Aldi do some really good ones that keep winning awards, but we don't have an Aldi supermarket anywhere near us! I've tried Pampers and they were ok, although did seem to soak through really easily? Little Angels from Asda seemed to work quite well and Morrisons own brand range are pretty good too?

Any recommendations from anyone else...?

xxx

Yeah I bought all the brands Tesco, Asda, Naty, Huggies (which were rubbish) he just seems to be a little wee machine. Bought the next size up in Tesco nappies which worked better overnight.

I woke up before him in the night. Normally feeds around 2-2.30 but I was wide awake at 2.30 and he wasn't. Left him til 3 but then had to wake him up for a feed and a change.

He was so grumpy last night, DH had to play guitar to calm him down. Finally settled around midnight.

Yeah I love weighing days. When I have to go weigh her myself ill probably go every week lol I find it so exciting, she is so small but tiny baby is finally starting to fit her properly now so :yay:

I'm a bit confused with clothes sizes. Grace is in tiny baby ATM which is upto seven pound.. Can she go straight into 0-3 then or to newborn then 0-3?

Still feeling rubbish...very sore head & very sore throat :-(

J has also been asking for a lot of milk today - he is usually like clockwork, 3oz every 2.5 to 3 hours during the day and every 4.5 to 5 overnight. But today, aside from a 3 hour nap this afternoon, he has been crying for a feed approx. every 90 mins! Could it be a growth spurt...? xxx

Oh Chezza I hope you feel better soon.. :( no idea about the feeding though. Hope someone has an answer for you. grace is usually like clockwork but she has had the odd day where she fusses a lot more for a bottle xx

I would imagine she will go into Newborn - J is just over 8lb and is still in newborn sizes...0 to 3 is still too big for him :-) xx

Lol I think I'll need to go shopping then!! I was under the illusion I'd have a big baby & stocked up on 0-3 had to rush buying tiny baby when I was induced early so, looks like a shopping spree for me and Graceyy xx thanks!!! Xx

Remember ladie your babies are not robots,.they will most likely want different quantities plus there are growth spurts etc.
Ran out of 0-3 babygrows today and put 3-6 on Mark today, wasnt actually that big
