~*~* September Mummies 2017 - The Final Hurdle! *~*~

Misskth you'll probably have your baby before any of us at this rate x

The heat has been shocking today, feet are so swollen that they're all itchy and hot, and can barely waddle. Thank goodness tomorrow will be cooler. Convinced now that this baby will be a September one. Bit gutted but praying he comes before an induction

It was too hot to cook/have the oven on, so I thought as OH was at work and I can't get away with it much longer that I'd order some chinese food.
Not only was it horrible, but I found a prawn in my vegetable chow mien (I'm a vegetarian) so now I feel sick and really regret it :( Sad now.

Still really hot and sweaty, woke up with aches and cramps this morning and increased discharge again, but still no sign of labour. Gah

I'm completely with you ladies. Also naughty baby decided to give me painful bh whilst the ds had a nap so I couldn't sleep and I was so sore yet nothing came of it. Booking a curry for Friday night and told oh that he better get ready for a night of passion! My back is so painful not long now though x

Oh my God ladies, same here. So hot, itchy, swollen everything, sore everything and also struggling with (TMI alert) nr 2s - maybe 5 attempts and nothing plus had to send my OH to get me some hemorrhoid cream as my ring is on fire :-) so it's been pain in the bottom literally for me today GOd how long more???? also another disasters: left the freezer door opened for the whole day and dropped a full plate of spag bolo on our 2week old light beige carpet... oh joy of the 40th week lol

Heeeeeeeelppp

Today very nearly broke me, I sat on my toddler's bed and a few tears fell. My hubby, who is normally so good, has massively dropped the ball in the last few weeks and my pain has shot up. Every baby movement hurts, my swollen trotters are itchy and it hurts to walk, my bladder is being completely crushed, and my pubic muscles are pulling constantly. My youngest toddler is all knees and elbows too, and loves cuddles so I'm constantly being hurt, and my skin is so taut and painful, I feel like I'm bruised right down in my skin.

And then on top of that, I found out that the cat mating I was hoping for hasn't worked so I'm gonna have to reassess those options. Only a small thing in the grand scheme but it was the final straw.

I just need to have this baby now.

I keep checkting the first page expecting to see more early babies. I can't believe none of us are officially due yet but we're all ready to burst!

Let's keep picturing those little smiles and get through this!x

I'm so sorry you're struggling so much. I hope it's not much longer for you. When is your next sweep?

Could you talk to your OH about how difficult it is and explain the pain again to him? Say that you need extra support in the last few days? I find mine tends to forget that it's so difficult for us to do even the simplest of things sometimes and I need to remind him that I'm not at 100%.

As for your little one, how old is he? Is he old enough to understand that your body hurts and encourage him to be gentle because baby is so big now that he's smooshing you on the inside? I worked with babies and toddlers and found that when they're explained things they usually understand, you just have to word it so they can relate.
Perhaps make it a game where instead of jumping on you he has to sneak and give you the tiniest softest hugs ever or you'll eat him up. Like a dragon, idk :P But seriously, maybe sit him down if he's old enough and explain your body is sore because of baby and he has to be gentle.

You're amazing I honestly don't know how you've coped this far. I was telling OH today that I don't know how you guys with bubbas already do it because even bending down to refill the cat bowl is a hard task for me. Not long now, Kumber - we're so so so close to that amazing newborn cuddle x

I send himself a big long woe is me text that was really passive aggressive  I think in fairness to him, the painting has thrown the normal routine right off and he struggles without the regular routine. Not an excuse but I have mellowed a bit. I think I was just so hot and tired this morning.

My current youngest/soon to be middle has just turned two and he's a tornado of chaos, bless him. He's always been a bit rough, even when he was a squish in my belly, I've never known pain like it. Quite frequently I would feel his hands scrape down my spine, especially on the trace. This child has no care for me  I tell him to be gentle, so he doesn't hurt me and the baby but it goes in one ear and out the other. Hey ho, not long left to go.

My eldest is great, he'll kiss my feet and tummy better and asks if I'm ok when I'm grunting and groaning. He's just turned 3 and has suddenly grown up

Hoping I'll get a sweep tomorrow after my scan, but not 100% sure on that one. Not that the other one did much really! But hopefully the next one will be more successful

Oh Kumber sounds uncomfortable :( Here's to baby arriving soon.

Today was super hot! I popped into school this morning to help someone out and it was so nice to walk out and not think about getting classrooms ready etc! Then I popped into town for Afternoon Tea with another colleague and ex colleague and then got a few more baby bits I was missing. So nearly there! I am paying for it now though!

How vital is a nursing chair ladies? It will take up so much room in the Nursery (and so expensive!) and I am debating whether to bother. Any thoughts welcome!

Misskth I've got a rocking chair in our nursery which was given to my mum by a dear friend before she died, and my mum refurbished for baby. I don't know how vital they are though! Guess it depends on where you plan to do most of the feeding etc

Kumber - I'm sure it's because he loves you so much he doesn't know how to be gentle :P Hopefully you get a second sweep tomorrow that'll kick start things for you and you can queue jump to being the first of us to meet their squish. If not, it's only a few extra days before your due date .. you got this! x

Thanks, I am thinking that as she will be in with us to start with I won't want to go into the Nursery to feed and during the day when I am downstairs I probably won't want to go upstairs just to feed. I will keep thinking!

I've never had a nursing chair I've always found lying down the easiest to feed or surrounding myself with pillows.
Kumber your day sounds crappy no wonder you've had enough. I had 2 1/2 hours of contractions raging from 2 minutes apart to five minutes apart then as quickly as they came they went I'm so ready for this baby to be out now or the heat to go away. I'm shocked we haven't had lots of September babies becoming August babies xx

We live in a small flat and as OH will be back at work after only 2-3 weeks I can imagine I'll spend most of the time feeding either in the nursery or living room, despite baby being in with us for the first few months anyway. Depends on how much it disturbs OH. I'm a terribly light and fussy sleeper but he's pretty solid at it!

Well it's nearing midnight so that means that I'm now only 3 days away from my due date... No sign and convinced he'll be super late now. I really don't want to be induced because I'd rather not spend longer in the hospital than I need to waiting for him to get here.

Feet are super swollen and we've been watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy this evening as I've never seen it. I'm so so glad to have OH home with me for a few days now after he worked the bank holiday weekend shifts. :)

I've never used a nursing chair, far more comfortable to sit on the sofa, especially for bfing as baby gets bigger - arms of the chair get in the way of baby's feet!

Boooooo for false labour Elfs, drives me batty when that happens!

Ffo, how have you not seen LoTR before? hope you enjoyed it :) pleased for you that hubby is home for a few days now and you can take it easy.

I'm back up the hospital for another scan today, can't imagine they'll do anything but send me home as I'm progressing as I should be. 39 weeks tomorrow, so 2 weeks left max. Going to ask them to book an induction date too, so I have a definite date of himself arriving.

Misstkh I have been given one and it is very comfy but baby isn't even here yet and we've had some problems with the mechanisms. I had to ban my husband from sitting on it to play vidoe games as I wanted it to still be working when baby does arrive. In total it's needed 4 minors adjustments (again never after I have sat on it).

I defenitly don't think it's essential although I do love mine when it works. The best thing is to have a comfortable place to sit with supplies e.g snacks or entertainment as I understand you can be stuck in that one place for quite some time.

I keep seeing baby's arriving in the news that I'm sure we're due much later than us, so that's adding to the impatience.

Although my husband has been sent to work 4.5 hours away in Devon tomorrow so I really hope tomorrow isn't the day! I'm so annoyed that the company would do that when they have people based across the country. They also ring him to see if he knows when the baby is coming so they can plan their work rosta! Wouldn't that be nice!

FFO it's amazing how our other halves all seem to be such heavy sleepers! We kept our spare double bed in the nursery for when he goes back to work and needs to get some rest and the cots in our room. It's come in handy as I have had sleep apnea the last few months and so my snoring keeps him awake. He's usually having to sleep next door but I think it's perfect practice for when baby arrives x

Lol I never watched LoTR before because it just seemed so long winded and didn't really appeal. We watched the first two films yesterday and although I enjoyed them I don't think it's something I could watch over and over. I did try reading the Hobbit a few years back but the dude's writing style was too manic for my liking so I struggled to want to keep reading.

Ladies I feel like poop today. I woke up about 4am feeling like I was 'leaking' and went to the bathroom to find lots of watery milk coloured discharge... It has since stopped but since then I've been having period aches that have turned into occasional back pain and stomach pinchings, and I just generally feel uncomfortable in my stomach area. Nothing standing out enough to time though. And to boot I have a sinus type headache in the front of my face and just feel exhausted despite having slept relatively well for 10+ hours last night...

I do hope this is the start of something now with only 3 days to go.. OH is back to work on Friday if baby isn't here (his paternity leave was due to start then) and I'd much rather things start when he's here so I'm not alone and confused!

I am enjoying the fact the weather has cooled and has been raining all day. I love the rain :D

Still no baby news :( come on September mummies we need some babies here !
I've had a really nice day today took my daughter to a holiday club at the local church and she then went for a play date.
I had a nap with ds then we met his friends at a little soft play and had A nice lunch. Went and got dd and they performed a little show. Came home and cleaned the bathroom and ds room ! Just getting them to bed now :)
Ffo I hope baby atrives before Friday my partners not got paternity as he started a new job when I was pregnant and with only one income we can't afford for him to have unpaid leave. He's saved up his holiday so that he can take time off and his boss has been fantastic and said he can take it the moment he needs to and he'll
Cover his appointments. Nothingg seems to be happening here not even had many bh baby has been a bit quiet today but still moved I can mostly feel the baby burrowing it's head.

Ffo how are you feeling now?

Elfs sounds like a really nice day for you, nothing too strenuous.

I'm in the same boat with paternity leave, they wouldn't let him take it as holiday which is a bit pants as he has to take it as unpaid, but that still leaves him with 10-odd days free to take plus enforced days at Christmas so I'm happy enough.

Scan today was normal, back in next week for a growth scan and a chat with consultant.

Went out with my mom this afternoon with the boys and it was one of the nicest afternoons I've had in a long time. Got to chat properly about holidays and my wedding so I can finally start to plan. Feeling very happy!
