October Babies 2011 - Our Tri-3 thread :D

I had to go to the labour ward to have my GTT yesterday and seeing all the newborn babies and hearing them cry made me sooooo broody. I cannot wait to be back there with my own bundle :)

How did you get on? Funny how new babies make us broody even pregnant!

Fine thanks hun, all bloods taken were fine. I also had my 28 week ANC done while I was there and when the mw was feeling my tummy for baby she said that he/she was 'all over the place'!!

I was soooo hungry though as I wasn't allowed to eat from 10pm the night before but had work from 8-10pm so didn't eat after dinner at 6ish until they gave me tea and toast at about 11.30am. Needless to say it was the best tasting tea and toast I've ever had! LOL.

Glad your GTT went ok DW! I'm still dreading mine.

Anyone else not sleeping very well? I wake up in the night and cant get comfy, then I cant get back to sleep properly. I could fall asleep right now, but I've got work in an hour :(

Don't worry about the GTT hun, it's fine, just boring having to wait round for so long.

I'm not sleeping very well either. I'm finding it way too hot at night, keep getting up to go to the toilet and Lennon comes to wake me up either in the middle of the night or tries to get up at some ridiculous hour like 5.30am. All in all I must wake up/get up at least 10 times per night and them am generally awake from about 5.30am everyday. But then I find I really flag at work, especially looking at my computer screen and could easily sleep in the afternoon if I was able!!

great to see this post in tri-3! Shows we are all getting there ladies! Hope you are all well :)

xxxxx

I'm not sleeping very well either, I can really only lie on my sides, so I have to switch sides a lot cause I just can't get comfy! X then I can't get back to sleep, and OH wonders why I sleep during the day! X

Ladies that are having troble sleeping, do you have a pregnancy pillow? Mine is my best friend and cant sleep without it x x

ooh what's a pregnancy pillow? x maybe i should think about getting one, my pelvis/hips gets quite sore if i lie in one position too long! x

I got a long pillow, looks like a big pair of legs from eBay, it's well comfy, hubby moans it takes up most of the bed though!

Yeah, I've got a pillow which I do find really comfy but also makes me even hotter!! LOL.

Yeah, I've got a pregnancy pillow too. It used to be soooo comfy, but in the last week is become my enemy and I cant get in the right position. Driving me nuts!!

I need to get myself one of these - anyone heard of any cheapies?? I'm sooo skint!!

OH is gonna hate me I take up enough of the bed!!

:)

I had to stop using my pregnancy pillow because OH and I didn't have enough room in our bed, but he's been offshore for a week and a half so I started using it again, feels so much better... That is until LO starts headbutting me in the ribs! It's waking me up so many times during the night, and is taking my breath away sometimes because it's so hard! This morning I slept until 11 because I had been woken up 6 times during the night and was NOT getting out of bed!

Plan to do the same tonight as well! Tomorrow is my birthday so I think I deserve a lay in as a treat!

xx

I got the long sausage one from argos think its about £20 hunny.
It did start making me too hot but instead of chucking my pillow out, i just chuck the covers off - i cant sleep without it x x

I'm sure I seen some V shaped ones on ebay for £15 but wasn't really sure how you use them loool i suppose one bit would support ur head the other your bump

:)

I sleep snuggled up to OH at the moment, he turns on his side and I snuggle in behind him.

Only trouble is Pickle seems to get jealous and starts wriggling and squirming against daddy's back.

Hi girls!!
Ditto with the sleeping. It's driving me nuts. I'm just using an ordinary pillow, seems to help a little bit. But you can bet money on the minute I get into a comfy position (which is rare) OH starts snoring, or little miss starts kicking me or I need to get up for the loo! Annoying is an understatement!!

M2A - obviously missed the post on your unofficial due date.... it's my birthday too :D !!!!

Can't quite believe we're all on the countdown now. I've stopped counting how many weeks I am, I'm counting how many weeks I have left... It's crazy. Doesn't seem like all that long ago I was 8 weeks pregnant, now I've only got 8 weeks left to go!!

xxx

Morning all :)
Usually most comfortable on my right side, had a couple of bad nights while away but now I'm back in my own bed its so much better!!
I have a pregnancy pillow but actually can't get comfy with it at all so just use it for when I'm sitting up
in bed lol

Oh well back to work on Monday but at least it's only 8 weeks until I go on maternity leave, now the wedding is done its time to crack on with the house & nursery lol

Hope everyone is well :) x

Hi tinks - glad the wedding went well, that will be hard working until 38/39 weeks! Least it means more time with baby though!

Good to see you too PP, tri 2 and 3 are flying by!

I've woke up worrying how Ill manage without sleep when baby arrives, I was up loads in the night and not sleeping so well now but at least I can try to sleep now, how I'll cope with a screaming baby at 3am I don't know! I'm sure you manage on no sleep in your twenties but need it in your thirties!
