***** October 2015 Mummies ******

Welcome, Petchy! :)

Shelly, sorry to hear you feel rubbish! Is it a side effect of the injection or maybe you are coming down with something? This injection has no live-viruses in it so it shouldn't make you feel like this? Rest as much as you can and hopefully you will be like new tomorrow :hugs:

The swelling in my hands is increasing and I think I will call midwife and ask if they can check proteins in my urine on Monday when they do my vaccination.

I had an appointment this morning with rheumatologyst and she is happy with my condition and thinks I won't have to start my medication straight after the birth which means worry-free-breastfeeding! On the downside she said the inflammation will come back after +/- 6 weeks - that sucks! but hey ho will cross that bridge when I get there! ;)

I was also put on a scale today and calculated that so far I've put on 12 kg (1st 12lbs) - happy with that, I think :)

KHTW, be careful with swelling in your hands, if it gets bad or anything else swells, just go straight in & get checked at local hospital, can't be too careful when it comes to swelling xx

Helloooooo everyone in Tri3, I'm officially here! can't believe the time is going so quickly :) at the same time though, yesterday was three months to my due date (17th oct) seems like a long time...

In other baby news, I'm thinking of getting a my Brest Friend breastfeeding pillow. Anyone any advice on them? Am I mad to get one so early? Are they necessary?

Littletwix, welcome to Tri 3

Re.the pillow - I had this very chat with my friend yesterday. Her little one is 1 and she was using the pillow first for breastfeeding, then for supporting the baby when she was at the stage of learning to sit down. She said it is a must have item and she is getting it for my baby shower I was told ;)

Ladies, I have decided to move to the spare bedroom until end of pregnancy! I sleep so much better when left alone in bed. I guess I just need my own bed... I've been in it for a few night now and guess what - slept all night (with bathroom trips of course) and had no back ache or trouble sleeping on left side! Good thing hubby is so u understanding and gave me his blessing

Karolina if it helps your sleep then its worth it! Hehe! Our spare room is in the process of being emptied & changed into baby's room xx

Hi ladies! Hope you are all okay!

I'm officially here from tomorrow - wow! Tri 3 already! I have removed my wedding rings due to swelling :(

I need to book my whooping cough jab too - last time it was absolutely fine - no stinging xx

Pre-welcome BB :) Love to see more and more mummies moving to Tri 3 :yay:

Just got my whooping cough vaccine and it was not sore at all... Hope my arm is OK tomorrow!

Yes, I had to take my wedding ring off weeks ago. Will speak about it to my consultant on Thursday x

Getting a growth scan this Thursday, can't wait to see the baby and what position she is in :)

Lucky you Karolina, mines stung like a mother f%%^er!!

Im down to just my wedding ring, my engagement ring has been off for a few weeks (for some reason that ring feels tighter than my danty wedding band).

Hope everyone is doing well, i'll stick a wee picture of our nursery up when its all finished :) xx

Sorry to be so AWOL - we're still on holiday in northern Norway and I still have crappy internet connection on my mobile here. 27+5 today :) Bump growth seems to have stagnated a bit now and is mainly just feeling firmer rather than much bigger at the moment. I'm sure that feeling won't last long :P My first tri 3 bump pic:

Lovely bump Petchy!

I'm struggling to believe it's tri 3 time.... All Brixton hicks, mucus plugs and labour watches! Oh dear. LOL.

Woohoo, come on over Mrs, the more the merrier

I am happy to report that my arm is not sore at all after the whooping cough vaccine! So glad :)

Ps. Just read an entry in one of the threads that a lady had her baby and the sonographer had not only got the due date wrong but also the gender!!!!!! My worst nightmare

I've luckily seen his winky confirmed 3 times
Due date wise... Well.... Its the machine that tells them at the 12 week scan
Dunno how you can get it wrong?
Plus no guarantees theyll come on that date. Theyre fully cooked at 37w and you can go to 42w
Plus some could come at the early point and be big. Others could come late and still be little!

Glad to hear all those GTTs seem to be going well, so glad I don't have the purgatory of fasting to go through!

Lovely bump Petchy

I found the whooping cough jab very ouchy last time too, but will still get it again, just to make sure LO is protected. Especially with a nursery going toddler around!

Sorry to be awol ladies, work was utter murder last week, more than 50 hrs (I'm "parttime!"). In case anyone is catching this in the press, it is pretty dire working in the nhs right now, especially the press bashing, which is soul destroying when you've put in double the hours you are paid for. I love my job but I am pretty knackered out from trying to keep up with the demand.

Gosh Fliss, that sounds really rough, I hope you get paid for all those extra hours you do and it's not a case of paid part-time, work full-time!

that's good to hear about the feeding pillow. I definitely think I'll get one :)

if it makes you feel any better my husband has moved out of our marital bed! he sleeps in the spare room because he can hear our neighbours in our room and he says I'm too hot (as in warm!) to sleep beside :( I generally sleep in with him in our spare room from thursday-sunday. Can't believe this has become of us!

To be honest I don't mind at all, he's a terrible insomniac and he's much better because of it. Poor thing was ragged from hearing our neighbours tv 24/7 and he has the hearing of an owl :D

Littletwix, re. pillow - I forgot to add that she was recommending the Mothercare one (kept the shape perfectly through the entire year of using).

I would KILL your neighbors... Seriously! How inconsiderate!

To be honest I am really not bothered about our 'separation' at the moment. We both agree that getting undisturbed sleep is the most important thing. I also have a feeling he will pull the spare room card once the baby wakes him up every 2 hrs at night

Hey up ladies..I went to the midwives yesterday and they said I don't have Gestational diabetes but my hb levels are a tadge on the low side at 10 so I'll be put on iron tablets...more meds for me!

Talking about sleeping arrangements - it's like a benny hill sketch at night in our house if you could fast forward it! Cora sneeks into our bed so I go into her room, then she follows me so I go back into my own bed, sometimes the o/h joins in bed swapping too its ridiculous!...you never know who you'll be waking up next to haha

...and noisy neighbours - the one next to us was single so he played his computer games dead loud at night, now he has a new girlfriend and she does really exaggerated over the top loud sex moans! I wonder if she is actually being genuine or if it's all for effect it's a right bit of acting I bet!

He wants to kill our neighbours some times! But to be honest, they're only just living so we can't really complain, the tv isn't that loud, he just has amazing hearing and the walls are way too thin. Modern builds are rubbish!
