***** October 2015 Mummies ******

Getting into your own bed is so good isn't it !?

Morning, Ladies! I would normally say 'good morning' but it really isn't so good at all! I had another disturbed night of sleep... Woke up at 4am to go to toilet and took what seemed like a lifetime to fall back asleep! I am really getting annoyed by this! x

Im the same Karolina, i had a mini meltdown yesterday due to being so tired.

Working full time, decorating and trying to keep house tidy just wasnt happening.

Hi Claire, yes you're in here now, welcome to Tri3 :) xx

How is everyone today?

I had another shit night, couldn't get comfortable from 4am :/ I don't know how I'm going to manage. I actually not only feel but also look tired today... x

Has anyone else's profile picture changed??

I'm a little more awake today than the other day, but still tired.

Anyone ekse feel like they're running out of room in their tummy? Lol!!

Anti D & whooping cough jabs for me tomorrow! Happy days xx

I totally feel like my belly is running out of space for the little Miss! I've started to feel kicks closer to my ribs now too!

I have the whooping cough vaccine next week, no Anti D tho?

Have you been tested for strep B? There is a lot of talk about it in the media... I don't think it is done routinely but can we ask for it?

My blood group is A- due to being Rhesus negative i need to have Anti D injection.

I thought we got checked for strep B at booking in, i'll ask midwife tomorrow xx

I thought this was something we should be tested for very close to labor (no more than 3 weeks before) but maybe I am thinking of something else... please let us know what midwife says & thanks x

Helloo I felt mega tired after GTT yesterday and had to continue my shift at work until 8pm booo -I just crashed out as soon as I got home but yep I'm also having rubbish sleep...if it's not heartburn, needing the loo or general uncomfortable-ness then it's Cora waking up :( I've just resorted to a 16-part sleep every night. My o/h let me have a little lie in this morning tho so at least I'm not doing it alone x

The insomnia is shit isn't it! Last night was first night in ages that I had what I considered a good night sleep, only got up twice in night, just as well as had the dreaded GTT today. Thankfully it was not as bad as I remembered, definately didn't feel as poorly as I did last time I had it. I'm feeling quite uncomfortable of a night, definately feel like I'm running out of room.
One of the girls at the nursery my little girl attends asked when Im due, she was shocked when I said October, she thought I was much further along & asked if I was having twins? Made me quite paranoid about how big my bump is!
In bed now trying to get comfy & just could not manage to get comfy on the couch!

Anti D is if your blood group is rH -ve

I've not heard about the whooping cough vaccine yet
she mentioned it at booking in but that's last I heard
hubby had it last year (actual whooping cough) but I never got it. Dunno if I'd be classed as immune?

Strep b you'd only be tested for if there's symptoms to suggest so
I think they swab you to find out
its just antibiotics during labour I believe though x

Gail, whooping cough vaccine is recommended so you can pass the immunity to the baby. It works best if received between weeks 28 and 32 - do check with your midwife.

Shona, my restless nights struggle came to a breaking point last night! I was woken up at 2.45 by hubby turning in bed. I went to toilet and just couldn't settle back to sleep... all I could hear was hubby breathing! And as much as I love the fact that he is breathing I just couldn't fall back asleep because of the 'noise'! So I ended up making the spare sofa bed up at 3 am!!! I think I will stay there for a few more nights to see if that makes a difference.

I was just reading about the Full Moon vs increased birth rate. Do you believe in this?

My due date is October 4th and the closest Full Moon is on 28th September - maybe I will end up with a September baby

Going by my LMP date my due date should have been 27th Sept.... wonder if the 28th will kick start it haha!!

Asked MW about Strep B Karolina, they dont routine test for it unless theres something to suggest that you could have it (something in your urine in the samples that get sent away) or if youve previously had it.

Got my Anti D, Blood taken and Whooping Cough jab (its bloody sore!!), small trace of blood in urine so think ive possibly got a wee infection, sending urine away for further analysis before giving me antibiotics. Uterus measuring 29 weeks, babys heartbeat 150bpm and ive gained just under 1kg in 4 weeks :) xx

Thanks for info Shelly! I think they should make more effort to test everyone for Strep B... x

Don't tell me the WC vaccine is sore!! I am getting mine on Monday

Haha! Maybe you will start labor on 28th then! We shall wait and see :toonlass:

They dont think there is any value in testing everyone.

IF it helps the girl in work thats pregnant didnt think hers was sore, its just a little stingy....

Haha! We shall wait & see .... wonder who will give us the 1st 'October' baby xx

Still got another wk b4 tri3 but thought Id post anyway. I got consultant next week so probably find out my C/ section date.
I've not been offered whooping cough vaccine but got appointment for Anti D in a couple weeks x

Checking in from rural northern Norway with crappy intermittent internet connection - but whoop whoop: officially in tri 3! :D

(offically) Welcome Petchy :)

I feel rough after my injections yesterday, ive hardly slept, slept in 10 - 15min blocks & woke up wriggling about the bed trying to stretch. All my joints & muscles feel similar to what they do before a bout of bad cold and feeling a little sicky. I went in the bath about 5am this morning to try and ease it. Feeling sorry for myself & feeling like crap & tired, hope it clears up as the day goes on.

Sorry for the moan :( hope everyone else is doing good today xx
