***** October 2015 Mummies ******

Hey up ladies..I went to the midwives yesterday and they said I don't have Gestational diabetes but my hb levels are a tadge on the low side at 10 so I'll be put on iron tablets...more meds for me!

Talking about sleeping arrangements - it's like a benny hill sketch at night in our house if you could fast forward it! Cora sneeks into our bed so I go into her room, then she follows me so I go back into my own bed, sometimes the o/h joins in bed swapping too its ridiculous!...you never know who you'll be waking up next to haha

...and noisy neighbours - the one next to us was single so he played his computer games dead loud at night, now he has a new girlfriend and she does really exaggerated over the top loud sex moans! I wonder if she is actually being genuine or if it's all for effect it's a right bit of acting I bet!

that's great that you don't have GD, one less thing to worry about :) You must be wrecked from all that bed swapping but whatever works! i have friends who have very similar arrangements :D

Ello ladies, i cant believe im 30 weeks next week .... where has the last 10 weeks went!!!

Making progress on the nursery, we have now (nearly) fixed the hole in the ceiling. Hopefully this time next week i'll be posting a picture of it all decorated (minus the cot as its not due in until August).

Hope everyone is keeping well :) xxx

Morning! I know 30 weeks next week! Scary... I'm trying to get as many work type projects and appraisal stuff done so I can just go to do my shift and 'wind down' a bit more in the following weeks. Looking forward to seeing your nursery ours is still in progress. Also last week is realised my toddler cant sit on my lap properly anymore :( because the big bumps in the way

Wow... 30 weeks!!!!! This is crazy!!!

Looking forward to see the nursery pics, Shelly! I'm sure it is going to be lovely :)

I'm just back from the growth scan; the baby is perfect, no reason to be worried at all. The belly is slightly
above the average and the head slightly below but she said this is marginal and nothing to be concerned about.
To be honest looking from the delivery perspective, smaller head sounds good ;)
Her head is near my right hip so I guess she is slowly turning in the right direction!
They also run full blood tests incl. glucose test. Results should be back in 3 days or so.

Aww Stacey, wont be long till you have both your babies on your knee!! (Scary!!).

Ive noticed my bump has taken a sprout over the past few days, i have the body circumference of a baby Orca!!

Our nursery has been in progress the last few weeks Stacey, its a nightmare - plus we had a hole in the ceiling where we had a leak a while ago, the small hole ended up 4ft x2ft that we had to have re-sheeted! (hopefully) i can re-skim the roof tonight and finialise tomorrow, which means i can start painting and papering at the weekend. 5 weeks solid of decorating and i can feel myself slowing each week!!

Brilliant Karolina, lovely to see the baby again and glad everything is going well, sounds like babys making it way head down! :) xx

Hi ladies, I'm officially here now- always find as soon as tri3 starts the pounds creep on!

I had consultant app yesterday, feeling really good about section - need to be all ready between 35-38 wks and GTT clear. Also In measuring a week a head- couldn't get a proper heart beat baby's curled up.

You sound so busy Shelly, Cant wait to see everyone's nursery or baby bits x

Welcome, Cas! Not long until you get to see your little one then x

BTW, new series on OBEM started yesterday!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks Karolina, not long till all the October mummies are here x

I missed last nights obem x

Welcome to tri3 cas!

Girls I'm so envious of your nursery developments, even it does sound like hard work Shelley! We're only getting started on the baby room next week at he very earliest, eek!

Also feeling a bit Orca-like today. Everything is starting to take me a lot longer than usual, I'm also getting sharp stabby pains in my groin from time to time. I really have to be careful how I move these days, my prelims feels v jelly like

Welcome Cas, we should have the rest of the October mummies over in the next week or so... :)

Cas im meeting myself coming back the way at times, my full house seems like its upside down and that before we rip the (ONLY) bathroom out.

Thats not long at all 35 weeks is only 8 weeks away for you ..... its going a little quicker now.

Oh i seen last nights OBEM, was proper excited about it starting back (hubby thinkgs im weird!) xx

I forced mine to watch it with me :trouble: At first he was pretending he didn't care much for it but after the first 10 minutes he got really into it haha

How come you are having a c-section Cas? If you have mentioned it before forgive my baby memory.

I am still unsure - if everything stays ok during pregnancy I'll hopefully be able to have a natural birth but if anything is of concern later on I'll be for c-section as I can't be induced (bad reaction to it last time). I'm ok either way - there's always an element of risk for both. I'm meeting consultant again at 32 weeks. Wow can't believe you might have your baby at 35 weeks :D x

I missed one born last night. Will hopefully catch up with it. Very sad but I'd actually have liked to see me in labour LOL.xxx

I've had 3 sections, first baby they induced me early but induction didn't work after a week, I think I'll have baby around 38wks- they just don't want me to go into labour. Hopefully everything goes well for you x

Hi ladies

So tonight we thought we'd go through what baby clothes we had
Weve veen picking bits up here and there
Gifts from people
Plus stuff we collected when we were first pregnant a year and a half ago which i totally underestimated on how much

This is what we've got
Its ridiculous lol

Sadly one of the big vacuum bags is first size/new born/tiny baby
Unless hes 5lbs - 7.5lbs... Theyll mostly go to waste i reckon

I was gonna wash everything tonight but theres way too much to comprehend
I've seperated the different age groups, bedding, blankets, cloths etc
That way when I do wash them they can go straight into their drawers and I'll know whats what
Only problem is... I've still no baby furniture. Nor have i got a clue what to wash it all with
Do I need hypoallergenic washing powder? Can i use fabric softner? Can baby clothes get tumble dried?
Im actually clueless lol

I think its safe to say he wont go naked until at least 6 months. And safe to say a lot will barely get worn if ever. Such a waste!

When I wash all my little ones clothes I just use a non-bio detergent & I use fairy fabric softener. I usually try to line dry everything but give it 10min in dryer, so that clothes are all nice & soft x

I use fairy powder and fairy softner. And check the individual labels to see if they can be tumble dried.

The amount of labels id need to check - theyd all be air dry by the time i got through them all haha

Wow, Gail! That's a lot of clothes!!

I will be washing all baby clothes in a non-bio washing liquid only, no softeners. I believe the less chemicals are involved the better ;)

30 weeks on Sunday... Wow... This feels like a big milestone! And to think that the baby could arrive anytime after week 37 is crazy! Getting REALLY excited now :)

We now have everything we think we need for the baby. The last thing left to buy is the isofix base and we are ready to go!

I think I will start gathering my things for hospital bag. Won't be packing it until September but at least I will have everything on standby, I guess x
