***** October 2015 Mummies ******

I will also start assembling my bag when we get back from our holidays. These things are more than just nesting/practical things to sort for me - it plays a big role in my mental preparation for birth too. If that makes sense?

I hadnt really thought about washing the babies clothes until i read a thread on here. I'll pick up some non-bio washing powder and just put them in the machine on my 'hand wash' cycle.

Karolina i think it is going pretty quick (not sure if it starts to slow down again in a few weeks right enough). Once my bedrooms are complete and the house is a little more organised im going to start to pack my non everyday use items into hosptial bag (baby clothes, pads, disposable underwear etc), the stuff i still use daily can go in later lol!

We're nearly there with things, picked up my crib & nursing seat on Thursday (still in boxes but can be buiilt later) and cot & pram should be in the shop in the next couple of weeks.

xx

I think I need to get a wriggle on and find some furniture to order
My dilemma is buy good quality stuff now that lasts ages but costs a fair whack now
Or buy cheaper stuff thats not gonna last and I'll need to replace quite soonbut i haven't got quite the financial burden straight away
I'll afford good stuff but dunno if i strictly want to... I want my kitchen done this side of him being born too lol

Gail, I'd say buy cheap and change for a different set later. The cheapy sets look nice too and will last for some time, they will not fall apart few weeks later :)

I like changing furniture often hence not see the poin of paying a fortune for something I will put out of the house in a couple of years x

I wasnt gonna buy anything nursery specific
I'd just buy adult furniture and try and get a matching cot x

That's what I would do as well x

I've just been to Primark and bought 2 pairs of PJs for hospital and some extra-comfort granny pants

Hiya ladies,

I'm just about to order a white cot from mothercare and under drawer then going buy white furniture to match. I need to have a look in Primark's for hospital bits, you must be nearly ready Karolina x

I caught up with obem heard so much about the lady that wasn't numbed properly during section, what I found with my last section baby was wedged up so high, it took a while to get her out so spinal wore off too quickly, so I've asked for a higher dose this time x

Cas, I was petrified watching that Csection!!! What the hell?!

Yes, I think I am pretty much ready now x

I'm pretty sure they made some mistakes, they seemed more concerned about the Dad, hope your having a good Saturday- I'm going shopping tomorrow to grab my Primark's bargains and look at prams x

Enjoy your day tomorrow, Cas! It sound super-exciting! X

Well i bought my furniture today
Went for good quality furniture and just took the hit on the price
I got 30% off everything and free delivery too

I ordered more than will comfortably fit right now with a cot but tried to future proof it so when the cots out he will have a full rooms worth of matching furniture

I ordered a bedside cabinet, double wardrobe with drawers beneath, tall boy, chest of drawers, toy chest (blanket box) and little bookcase!

Earlier this week we ordered a single bed that has the other songle bed beneath which you pull out and legs pop up

Will get room emptied next weekend
Get carpet laid the week after
All the furniture will arrive following week
Then once its all in its place i can decide on 'theme'

Im thinking woodland creatures
Tree stickers and little animals etc
Green curtains and bedding and a grassy looking cushion perhaps??
I also liked the idea of stars all across the roof!

Glad you got the good furniture Gail. I always buy the best we can afford. Saves you buying twice!

I fancy a new changing bag, but I can't see any I like. Any suggestions? The pink lining ones are far to common where I am so wanting to avoid that brand. But don't want a boring one.

I'm going to get my bits and bobs for hospital bags sorted soon, sad but I loved packing my hospital bag.

Im not keen on over the shoulder style
Id prefer something backpack like
I get sore backs so it's more supporting and not too girly for hubby
No idea if they even exist I'll need to check xx

Currently up with heartburn (yippee! :( ) 2 lots of Gaviscon later & it's not shifting!! Happy pregnancy lol!

Can feel baby starting to stir also, looks like I'll have company for a wee bit hehe xx

Loving all the nesting happening now. We need some pics of waiting nurseries though :)

My window of opportunity to get sorted is coming in august when I have a week off booked. Jess will go to nursery and I have my parents staying to help with the heavier stuff. Spd is a killer for this stuff, can barely get through a normal day looking after a toddler let alone moving and lifting stuff! I haven't resorted to the crutches the physio has given me yet but I may have to soon.

Got a few hours off as hubby taken Jess to soft play, so sat in bed with Netflix. Ahhhh!

Baby seems happy and wiggly in there.

I'll get a picture up when carpets fitted & another when my cots here.

Fliss enjoy the peace for a bit :) we stated watching suits on Netflix last night, pretty good xx

Can't wait to see all the nursery pics!

I had a good night sleep, didn't wake up until 9!! (Minus a toilet trip at 5.30).

30 weeks today!!! Woohooo

Whats people's nursery themes?
I've settled on woodland
I just hope I can pull it off. Lol. Its actually hard findind stuff thatll all go
Has anyone set a deadline for nurseries to be completed by??

we dont have a nursery as such. Baby will be in with us until we think he is ready to share with big bro. May treat them both to a gruffalo make over when its time.

We don't have a theme as such. We have grey walls, grey fluffy carpet and we added different sized pink stars and a poem saying Twinkle Twinkle little star about the cot, white furniture and some pink splashes. When Piper went into a single bed we just put her in another room and decorated it for her. The pink wall stickers could have been removed had we had a boy and changed to blues. But will just leave it for our girl and use it the way it is again.
Hubby goes away for 3 weeks with work tomorrow. I'm used to it but I don't know why I feel more emotional about it this time.
