i dont mind when i go now early, on time or late its up to her now

just had my 2nd sweep - different midwife..

Last week this was what she wrote in notes:

4/5ths palpable
LIE: long
PRESENTATION:ceph
POSITION: ROL

CERVIX POSITION: Slightly Posterior
Uneffaced
medium consistency
loose application
1cm dilated


So today it was much more uncomfortable and she had about 3 or 4 goes at trying to get 2 fingers in the cervix but said she still thinks 1cm dilated.
As soon as she stopped i had red mucousy loss and she said that's normal although that didn't happen last week so i'm sure she was a bit "rougher" iykwim!

Here's todays findings:

position etc just the same.
CERVIX POSITION: Slightly Posterior
0.5cm effaced
SOFT consistency
loose application
1cm dilated

So all the same really except she made me lose that reddish mucous, and i'm now 0.5cm efface instead of uneffaced and cerix is now soft not medium.. so all going in the right direction by the sounds of it!

I'm off to town now - feel a bit nervous incase something DOES happen but i still have my doubts!!!

She also mentioned BACK to BACK which no-one else has ever said before- hope not!!

Sounds like things are moving along nicely Treeze! Your sweep today could just start you off!!

Got my appointment at 3 - dont even know for sure if i get a sweep but im going to ask! Had one last week so i dont see why she wouldnt x

Ohh hope some of these May babies come soon.. theyve been naughtt little ones !. definately worth the wait though ... I have been reading through on here but dont really know where to post anymore now that im not pregnant..

My beautiful baby boy Xander arrived monday 23rd may at 181 weighing 9lb 8oz!! He is doing well. When I have more time I will update with my labour story, was long! Good luck to those due soon or overdue xx
