i'm feeling good today.. after my pile-popping experience last night and this morning (see other thread!!)
Slept much better and hubby let me have the whole bed bless him and he slept on a mattress on the floor..
Very excited about my 2nd sweep tomorrow to see what's changesd .. and even if that one doesn't work then it's this time next week i'll be going in for induction!!! So only 7 more sleeps!!!! (if you can call them sleeps that is!)
I just keep thinking the worst case scenario would be that my induction takes as long as it did to work with Josie which was 4 days... so even if that did happen i will still have baby by next weekend!!
And got some good news yesterday that hubbys work are going to pay him full pay for a week when he's off for the inductione etc (bank hol next monday and he's booked off tues - fri too!)
Jodie i cant believe its my due date tomorrow either!! Got a feeling its going to be a bit of an anti climax though - its like you wait a whole 9 months for one day and then it passes and still no baby
I need to stop being a grump i just want my baby so badly! Plus me and my mum are really close but we dont get to see each other very often because of the distance but shes coming to stay with me for the first time since i moved to Cardiff this weekend and if baby doesnt come by the time she leaves we will both be gutted
Good luck for your sweep Treeze! Im hoping i get one at my midwife appt tomorrow x
Yip the May mummies are extremely fed up and my due date isn't for another 4 days. I don't even feel feel like my due date means anything anymore. I think I will feel better once I reach it though cos I know then that it could be any day and that they can't let me go on being pregnant forever lol. I just hope I go myself though and not get induced. Being induced sounds like a long process xx
I'm not feeling bad today. Had a very lazy day yesterday where I didn't get out of my pjs. I just couldn't be bothered. I feel a bit more energetic today as I had a better nights sleep. Got the midwife in a few hours so it will be good to see how everything is going. I am feeling a lot of pressure down there at the moment. xx
Yep, also very fed up here as well! Had a 2nd sweep yet, cervix slightly more effaced but that's it. Booked for another on Friday! My OH's work are being right k***s and making his life a misery because baby is not here yet and they are fed up of trying to arrange cover for him! He's so fed up, its putting a real dampner on what should be an exciting time get my new car 2moro tho, which is nice. Oh, my second sweep was no where near as painful, but this time my MW did it and she's really experienced and made me sit on my hands(make them into a fist) which apparently tilts the pelvis and makes things easier. A tip for u girls if u haven't already tried it
Riot, his work are a bunch of idiots anyway, but the whole farce over his paternity leave is beyond a joke! I feel like ringing his boss and shouting at him, lol!
Catty, my baby will be a toddler by the time he/she makes an appearance!!
This is soooo true
I promise none of the waiting will matter once baby is here and then you'll just sit and stare at them for hours! If you can't sleep try to rest as much as possible. Walking etc is good at bringing labour on but if I'd known I was going to be in labour for so long I would have stayed in my pjs for a week beforehand
Emily and I got home last night, we're both doing well, just trying to adjust and find our feet. My iron levels were still.at 88 yesterday but they let me home with tablets. Mum is being an amazing help, not sure how I would have coped without her, especially with the impending influx of visitors.......looking forward to it just being me and Emily for a few days. She's just gorgeous, can't believe I grew something so perfect and precious inside of me. You will all love it, even after the wait! Remember how fed up I was?
Good luck girls, will be trying to keep an eye out for labour watches and waiting for cherelle to text me!
Hi Pinky, I can't remember if I have congratulated you on another thread for your bubba. If not....congratulations x. Sounds like your labour was as long and tiring as mine. Iv'e been really anemic too, the midiwfe who came the day after we got home could not believe the hospital had let me go as I had completely blue lips and couldn't really stand unaided The tablets have really helped though and I feel almost back to normal now. Hopefully you will too.
Mrs B19081 - Hang in there, you've got 6 days to go before you're as late as I was. I had no signs of labour before it happened either so it can happen at any time. I will echo what pinky said about getting rest. if I had known that I wouldn't sleep for 3 nights straight during labour and recovery I wouod have hibernated for a month beforehand.
Thanks girls. It really is hard work this waiting though! And everyone ringing you to see if your still waiting! Ugh, i cannot wait to start labour and meet the little Bean!
Glad you guys are happy and home with your bubbas xx
Well last week at the MW he was 3/5 engaged and then this week at the MW he is fully engaged!! It probably won't mean anything but it makes me happy lol!! He is ready to go. Now my body just needs to push him out!! xx
