Would they just be checking to see if you're dilated? When she tried to do the sweep last week it honestly wasn't sore, I'd say a smear was more uncomfortable! Try not to tense up lol.

I'm ok, just fed up, not much happening at all!

here in north wales they wont do any internal untill your over due or if its for medical reasons like bleading or having contractions ect so you might not get 1

TMI alert but i have had 3 poo's now since 5:30am. i always get a nervous tummy before things like blood tests and internals etc but these were like 3 of the biggest poo's ever! i'm sure it is to do with my nervousness about this sweep... i know i'm worrying about nothing and afterwards I'll say "ah why was i so nervous?!!" i just can't help it though! Anywone would think i've not been through this before (although it was over 4 years ago now!)

Oh well better carry on with tidying up the house!

Well - midwife been!!

Successful Sweep! I had really geared myself to being told it wouldn't be possible so i was very pleased when she said she could do it!! Didn't hurt at all but felt like she was reaching in so far!! (sorry tmi!)

So i am 1cm, head gone back to only 1/5th engaged (4/5ths palpable)... not effaced at all so cervix still long... and slightly posterier but she said it was very easy to reach and do the sweep. She has written "loose" for application (?whatever that means) and medium consistency.

So i'm very happy with all of that - i was really expecting to be completely posterier, completely closed and still hard... so only slightly posterier, 1cm dilated and medium is great news!

yipee - even if it doesn't do anything that's so much better than i was at 10 days overdue with my first pregnancy!!!

let's see!!!

That's good about your sweep treeze. Hope it starts something off for you.

I am right now wishing I could fast forward time to next week. I'm getting so impatient and not even over due yet x

I cant believe how impatient im getting. I always thought id get like this at my due date but it must be because I hear of people having babies earlier that I'm thinking 'pls let me have baby a few days early'.

I'm also desperate not to go by due date cos my dad goes on holiday a few days after my due date so wouldn't get to come and see him right away. it's his fault for booking the holiday though, I think guys just assume you won't go over lol x

lol pinky - i work in asda... i'm sure there will be a change for you tomorrow when they do the next sweep.. i've got another one for next week if this one doesn't work... did you lose any plug or anything after your sweep? I was just wondering "where does it go when they do the sweep? Do they poke their finger through it.. or does it get pushed up further? She said i might have some bleeding or lose plug but no signs yet... looking forward to hearing if things have changed for you tomoz x x x and cherelle let us know how you get on this afternoon x x x
