Well she wasn't able to perform the sweep properly on Friday my cervix was so far back, she said she just about managed to tip it? Whatever that means. I've lost no plug, I didn't have any bleeding, no extra discharge nothing I'm beginning to wonder if I will ever give birth

I had heard from someone on here that if your waters break in asda you get free shopping for ayear? is that true?

I heard that too pinky, we should all stand outside our local asda waiting for it to happen then run in so they break inside hahaha.

Is anyone else experiencing cramp quite high up there bump. Rather than having cramp low down I'm getting it quite high up too. Ouch x

I'm not sure about the waters breaking in asda thing? I heard the same about mothercare!!! i can just hear it now though "Can we have an Asda Ace to aisle 8 please... spillage!" lol!

Ahw i hope there are some changes for you... my midwife said this morning that she often sees ladies who had an "unsuccesful" sweep appear at the labour ward within 12 hours who are in established labour! And that the position of the cervix, how dilated you are etc can actually have NO RELATION to when you will go into labour.

i know how you feel though - it's naff when you go past your due date... and everyone says "oh well not long now either way" but it still feels like forever! good luck for tomoz x x x

Well last night me and the OH decided it was operation baby out time and DTD oh my god we have never laughed so much. For the past 9months he has been amazing and we were told to sustain from having any when we first found out due to previous misscarriages till we were past 17weeks and from that we haven't done anything partly because I have lost any desire and I feel like a baby hippo but anyway after much hard work last night cant believe how hard it was with a bump haha (sorry if tmi I don't know what I expected for 9months pregnant) didn't have any pains no bleeding no tummy cramps nothing.


I took myself off for a walk earlier and again she's being a little munchkin still nothing to report.

As like you pinky I've not lost any of my plug either. Just concerned as still don't know what to expect at consultant on thursday and because the midwife didn't want to see me the same week I feel like I'm in limbo my mw has never given me her number either. I really want a sweep I feel like I missing out!

Oh and at my 36 week scan baby already weighed 6lbs 7 and they said if baby went full term she would be above average!! Now I'm think she's going to be huge.

i was in asda today my waters didnt go which im glad about lol

pinky i got the madeline book today im only going to read it in the evenings though so if i want to cry i can lol is it sad what you have read so far???

we won £41 on a scratch card today well happy

and my SIL is having a girl she had her scan today and when they phoned to tell me i think i squealed lol im a little excited they are going to be so cute together and only 4 months between them

Hey littlestar I am having inappropriate images of baby hippos now do you think the consultant might give you a sweep? I feel like I'm in limbo too! I'm hoping baby isn't huge, just a healthy weight!

Emma, I haven't had cramp further up, I get sore sometimes at the top of my bump but not cramp.

Midnight - I'm not finding it too sad so far but I just got to the bit where she talks about when she went missing and I was so scared last night I slept with the hall light on. I'm such a wimp!!!!

Pinky - Thanks, I found it weird getting cramp at top of bump. Bit of a strange place to get it. Normally I just get it low down. Weird x

I am so fed up now of waiting!! Doing my head in! I walked for two hours yesterday and the amount of pineapple I've eaten I could start a greengrocers! Missed my 40week appt last week as car broke down on the way then, yesterday was meant to have another one and got stuck in feckin traffic for two hours- found out it was a very bad accident so I shouldnt complain but now I wont be seen till Friday! So I have no idea about having a sweep or anything!! RANT OVER lol x

just another little update.. my fab midwife rang me back today to say she's booked my induction for Tuesday 31st May at 1:30pm . She will be the one doing the "inducing" and is meeting me up on the ward. I've also got another sweep next Wednesday at home between 9 and 11am.

She said i can go in earlier for induction of i want but i'm quite pleased with the 31st May and in a way it's nice being able to plan ahead a bit (although she keeps reminding me it could happen at any time!).

When I was induced with Josie I had 4 pessarys over 48 hours to get me to 1cm so they could break my waters and get me on the drip and then it took another 14 hours from having my waters broken. I told her about this and she said hopefully this time because i'm already 1-2cm i might just need the 1 pessary and then break the waters! yipee i feel like i'm half way there already compared to last time. Nice to know it will be my midwife too this time!

That is nice knowing it's your midwife that your getting. I won't get the same midwife, it's different here, you just get anybody I think. I'm not too bothered, as long as they are nice to me lol.
You never know though you may not need to be induced and go before then x

I had my appointment, well chuffed i got a scan and a sweep!! Midwife who did the sweep said my cervix is still quite high so she thinks ill be another week yet so he wont be early i dont think. I got some great pics from the scan and he is growing nicely and in a good position His little hair was sticking up!!!

They were a bit worried about my iron levels cos my anaemia has gotton even worse - i need to take 4 tablets a day now!

Anyway now i know he wont be coming soon i should chill out and enjoy your ladies labour watches for the next week xx

That's good about your appointment Cherelle and also good that they gave you a sweep! At least now they have told you it could be at least a week you won't be thinking if a twinge is a sign that your in labour. X

Yeah i need to stop concentrating on it so much i was getting obsessed lol! A week isnt that long then i can start clock watching again

I'm getting obsessed too. To the point where I'm getting really fed up and down about it. It's silly I should just be patient. I actually think I will feel better once I hit my due date cos then I defo know that something needs to happen in the following week or so and that the twinges could be the real deal.
