May mummies and rainbows to be :) the wait is nearly over!

I had an assisted delivery with Cam (ventous) and am really hoping for a waterbirth this time round and to be able to push her out myself and lift her through the water to my chest. I'd quite like a mirror so I can see what's going on down there too. But, best laid plans and all that! Lol! As long as she gets here safe and sound then that's all that really matters!

Omg that sounds like my worst nightmare lol. I snapped at the midwife and asked if she thought i was crazy when she asked if i wanted to feel the head coming out with my son lol. I don't need to know what my lady bits are going through during labour lol

I'm having very strong bh at the moment and a pulling sensation down there its really taking ky breath away. This haopens every time I have super noodles I knew I shouldn't have them lol

I put my hand down and felt Cam's head once it had delivered. I was surprised at how hot it was!

I've got my next load of baby washing in the machine all ready to go first thing in the morning.

I'm feeling uber organised and domestic goddess extraordinaire(ish)! Lol!

Hubby confirmed my measurements for the cot mattress too, so I'll order that tomorrow too.

I'm loving being able to tick all these little jobs off my list!

:-)

Aw nikki I hope they start being a bit more supportive in your choices!

DH still has me on bed rest for tomorrow bless him so I've asked him if he can start getting the baby stuff washed tomorrow as the washing basket is just about empty for once! Think he's quite enjoying being Mr domestic and whilst I'm not mad about him using his holidays for not much I'm so glad of rest. Think he's working Friday then hes off on the weekend so hopefully will give me a new lease of life going into next week! Have to say I do love my hubby an awful lot!! Xx

Aww that's so sweet of your hubby to take care of you so well.

My washing basket was almost empty too so that's why I've cracked on with the baby stuff. There's a load on the clothes horse drying and it looks sooooo sweet!! I'd forgotten how totes emosh it was possible to get over baby washing! Lol!

Oh is packing to go away tomorrow :( feel rubbish im used to going to these things with him although im not jealous of gis 8 hour train journey ro wales. Just want it to be sunday so hes home

Do you guys have a baby bath or one of those bath supports?

I have a baby bath but we only have a shower though so need one really. For my son I had a baby bath and a support and we used both and found them both useful.

I am going to buy a baby bath with support seat/sling. Don't know what one to get though? Xx

Hi! Hope everyone is ok. Lots to catch up on for me here. I went in today for reduced movements. All seems OK and baby has moved more today than ever before after all the prodding and biscuits! Baby is in a breech position, hoping they move soon as I now know what the bruised area under my ribs is - baby's head! My worst nightmare is a cesarean. Does anyone have any tips or info? Xx

So far I've bought an insert seat thing for the regular bath but I am also going to get a baby bath (mainly as my mum says it was really useful for when we were older and being sick!) as they aren't a lot of money compared with a lot of other baby stuff. I also think I've tracked down a second hand changing unit, so if I can get it will be saving a bit on that too. My husband and I are both old and broken, so changing on the floor isn't an option for us!

Have a look on spinning babies. It has lots of positions to help baby turn. I didn't think mine would move but she did and that's at 33 weeks, you still have time xx

Btw, is anyone getting painful fanny daggers? Mine have been worse today, prob cos she is head down now but they really are painful xx

Im getting major fanny daggers lol i end up waddling because its so painful lol

So, yesterday morning it felt like baby was in an up down position instead of across which I thought was a good sign.
I went to the midwife yesterday afternoon and she said baby was breech :(
Still, it's better and safer than transverse. She said if baby is still breech in 2 wks at 36wk appt she'll book me into the hospital for a scan and take it from there.
Betty -yes spinningbabies.com has info about encouraging them to turn. A couple of people have also suggested acupuncture for it as well, which I might look into because I really don't want a c section if it can be avoided.
Lisey, glad your baby is facing the right way now.

I just got a new desk, so we're going to change baby on that. The baby drawers are right next to it and I have a little basket on it to keep topped up with nappies etc. I still need a changing bag.

Me too nikki, it does make me walk funny.

Thanks pebbles. Hope your little one moves for you. Like you say though, breech is better than transverse. Acupuncture might be worth a try. I hadn't thought of that. I am going to go for some sessions near my due date to try and encourage labour. Don't want to go too overdue xx

Girls i need your opinion on my birth decision because im doubting myself. If you had 2 c sections before would you just go straight for a third or would you try for a normal birth? This will be my last baby and theres not many clear facts online about the risks of both think the risk of a rupture is about 2%. But they wont induce so if i go too far over id end up having a c sectiom anyway or i can just have an elective at 39 weeks and be able to plan whos going to be able to have the kids etc while im in hospital i really dont know what to do

I've not had a c section so don't have any personal experience of recovery etc but my personal preference would be to avoid a c section if possible. With my son to look after and get to school etc I would prefer being able to drive etc.

Although they wouldn't induce you, you'd still have a date for your section if you went over so could still plan childcare etc right? Maybe ask if you went over how long they'd leave you before advising a section somyou can get a rough idea of dates?

It's a tough one for sure hun and ultimately only a decision you can make. Maybe write down all the pros and cons of each and any questions you don't have answers to and get those answered and that might help you to make up your mind?

What is this.... "empty washing basket" I hear a few of you mentioning lol

Haha I never have one of those either! What comes from both of us working dirty jobs! (And I have two washing machines...)

Nikki I would be really tempted to try for VBAC, but maybe put a time limit on, so if they haven't arrived by a certain date have the section. At least it gives you a chance. Having said that everyone I know who has had a section has opted for an elective the next times, so maybe it isn't as bad as I think! I just freak out a bit at the thought of it and if it is safe to do so would prefer not to.

I have the occasional random pain down there, I think it is more when he is pushing his head or arm right down it feels like it is going to come out sometimes! Luckily it isn't too often.

Dovekie I seem to have ended up with two changing bags! The only thing I have duplicated. I bought one in tk max and then one came free with the pram, so that should be handy.

I think mine might have had hiccups earlier, little regular thuds that went on for quite a while?
