May mummies and rainbows to be :) the wait is nearly over!

Ive got my appointment with the birth plan midwife next week so maybe ill see what she says.

Mine gets hiccups all the time lol normally low down to the right it normally lasts for ages lol

morning Girls,

go with your heart Nikki, if you want to try then go for it!

why is a transverse baby so bad? mine is transverse atm and he hasnt moved since my last scan, still getting bladder kicks and head butted in my ribs.

Awe sounds like it hun. I've not felt hiccups with this one just me with the hiccups lol.
I've not brought a changing bag yet. I have ordered breast pads and milk pouches though. I'm startin to get organised a bit lol. I'm off for my growth scan now. I really need to buy a dryer to cope with the extra washing I can't cope either what I was already got. My nesting instincts aren't being helpful. I've got a double sided list of jobs to to... and my nesting instinct makes me tidy the tinned food cupboard. OK it needed doing but not as much as the other jobs I have to do lol. So today I've printed out a wall calendar and we are waiting on it dates jobs have to be done by!

As for the c section nikki I don't really have any advice as uve not been through it. But it's your birth and you should be able to do what you want and feel comfortable with. Ithe depends on how badly you want to experience the "traditional vaginal birth" as it could be your last chance and obv if you do get pregnant again and have a c section this time they are just going to push you even harder to have a c section next time. Maybe ask in the pregnancy forum bit for people who have been through vbac?

Nikki see if you can find a group on Facebook or something about vbacs? I'm sure there will be one and people there will be more clued up on risks etc. I'm on a homebirth group and there's been a few people planning homebirth after 2 c sections recently! I totally understand your reasoning, surely it's just as risky giving you another section and then you making yourself ill trying to do too much afterwards looking after everybody? X

Yeah thats what i thought i think vbac is more risky for baby and c section is more risky for me. Ive done so much googling!

Just dropped oh at the station im an emotional wreck today

My washing basket is never quite empty but it's been low enough that I can do baby washing instead! Second load is drying and third load (piiiiink!!!!) is in the machine and ready to go once the other bits are dry. Then, other than a couple of blankets and the cot sheets, all her bits are done.

Leigh, I think transverse is an issue in regards to the cord prolapsing and entering the birth canal before baby does, which is obviously dangerous and an emergency situation. I'm sure there are other things but that's the one I'm aware of.

Nikki, def talk things through with your MW if you're still unsure as to what to do.

My lo gets hiccups most days. They are very low down, gentle and rhythmical.

i have read you dont get an option of going into labour that they give you a section. im hoping he moves but he is a monkey he hides right up under my ribs!

Oh God im not sure if i can watch that so close to due date lol

Just saw it on facebook so excited i love one born every minute lol

Yeah, with a transverse baby they might attempt to turn it but otherwise I think they would advise a c section for safety reasons.

You've still got plenty of time for him to turn though so don't panic just yet!

I'll deffo be watching it! I love it! I watched re runs of it the day after I had Cam while we were in NNU with him. I was like, I can't believe I did that yesterday!

the thought of labour absolutely terrifies me! but its what we are built to do so im sure ill get through it like every other woman does :)

hopefully he will turn, getting a scan every week so they will tell me xx

I'm going to look into hypnobirthing for this labour.

I've got an idea of what I want my labour and delivery to be like but quite often these little bubbas have other ideas! I'm prepared to go with the flow and as long as she gets here safe and sound then that's all that matters really.

But that being said, seeing as how she will be my last baby and the journey we had to get here, I really would like to get the birth I hope for.

I really don't like it when my Lo gets hiccups. Drives me insane at bedtime with it.

I haven't watched one born since I had my son. I recorded loads thinking I would get the urge to watch it again but I just never have. My son was a very straightforward delivery, and to an extent so was my daughter but then I had a PPH and retained products later on so I always find stuff like that difficult to watch...it happened on casualty this week.

DH has got the first load of baby bits in the wash! Exciting. I'm gonna try get back into my hypnobirthing this week and start getting myself a bit more prepared. I feel very unprepared just now!! Xx

There's a good hypnobirthing cd by Maggie Howell that I've used both times Emily. Think its called effective birth preparation or something along those lines. You can just do it yourself at home and just listen to it more and more in the weeks leading up to birth.

Is it 35 weeks we can start with raspberry leaf tea? X

I'm about to order a hypnobirthing book and/or CD. I'm not sure which one to go for though.

My baby just got hiccups now, as I read your posts! He gets them quite often, sometimes a few times a day.

What are you all using to wash your baby clothes, to get them nice and soft (we don't have a dryer)? I stuck some in a normal wash with my stuff and they've went really stiff!

I haven't started any hypnobirthing stuff yet! Should I have started it by now?

I was just going to listen to some YouTube videos on it to try and pick up some techniques.

ive got what i would like to happen in my mind but im sure that will all go out the window!

i just want him here safe and well and if that means i dont get the birth i hope for then so be it :)

i still need to move might be easter weekend that we move! feel very unprepared xx
